If you solicit comments, you have to expect that they won't be 100% positive... art being subjective, and all that.
LJ, check the link for My Deivant Art Page link in my sig and go from there... and Geno... I was just joking about it. Wasn't trying to generate a large scale discussion... just a "well, whadda ya know... this guy said this" kinda comment...

I must be simple...I can't find it. I went to your DA page and clicked on "Gallery". I don't see anything that looks like Plastic Man -- but judging by your other work, I can't imagine that it's anything but excellent.
I really would like to see it, though -- help?
Edit: AHA! I clicked on "popular" and got it. Weird.

I've found that dA is weird that way sometimes. While viewing the gallery, click the "Popular" link, it will show up. Or you can click here.
I'm not much of a critic, but I'd rate it higher than 5.5 out of 10.
[edit] At first I thought you had comments turned off for this piece, since I didn't have the option of adding a comment. Then up at the top, if I look closely, I can see: "deviantART is currently in read-only mode for system maintenance". Oh well, best intentions and all that.
Ah k finally saw it, well his words were a little abrupt, but perhaps he was just saying a more dynamic pose would make the piece uh... more dynamic? Gees it's Plastic Man, how much do you have to get? I don't think he understands the differences between, sketch, tight sketch, ink, tight ink, and well - defined enough for more coloring... (oh and his portrait of Charlize Theron is waaay off, I thought it was this guy from 1977 - James at 15 )

As far as I can tell, maybe this guy was channeling a Russian Skating Judge. So in response to that I shall do my own channeling....

Well, I was just logging into deviant art, to check out my messages, if any and I got a rather interesting critique for my Plastic Man sketch...
I like the style, but I find it a bit weird to look at. It seems as you bothered to put shades somewhere, and then not do it on other parts. This makes the shading that is there look a bit off. Your line is nice, but in my opinion it looks a bit too mainstream. You know in the way where you're thinking "I've seen that before". Nothing negative about it though. It just dosen't draw the interest it could get in my opinion. Overall though, I'd give it 5.5/10 due to it not being anything really special. Maybe I'm too strict though, I don't know...
Oh well... can't please everyone... Tell me what you think by looking at my deviantart page and voice your opinions!
