Ex Libris Needs Your Help
I hope not.. that character sucked.
I really just see her as running under her own moral code, i.e. she doesnt care (or possibly even comprehend) the use or value of "the law":
"Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws." - Plato (427-347 B.C.)
I have a feeling that shes the sort of person who hunts those who "Get around the law"... mobsters, faceless muggers and rapists... people who are never caught.
And I do not think she is batman, who would always try to "put people behind bars"... I think she sees the value in removing people for the betterment of everyone. Not to say she goes out and kills people... but I think she Is a 'hero' more inline with The Crow, than the current crop we have in Paragon.
"Happiness in intelligent people is the rarest thing I know."
Ernest Hemingway
I dont think she fights as a mercenary... she doesnt fight for money and power. That just.... doesnt seem to fit.
I still think she fights to right some personal wrong. Its just that doing so is neither good or honorable, it is revenge or vengence.. pure vigilantism. At the same time, it isnt truely evil.. those she kills, or otherwise destroys, are not good people (whether visible to the rest of the world or not). they may not deserve the punishment she gives them... but I have a feeling, that they do.
I think shes out there at night, because she feels its necessary... its a calling.
"Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit upon his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats."
- Henry Louis Mencken (1880-1956)
So, I got inspired by your little background story. Here's a concept of Ex Libris all grown up.
I'm not sure if it can literally translate to in game, but I bet you could get something close. Anyway, enjoy!

its cool (actually i havent seen a bad one yet)....
it just makes me kinda sad that everyone draws/CCreates her as "all grown up"...
she cant be a youth? or at least a teenager?
I like the idea of a young hero in the "established characters" list...
it seems like all the other dev/mod characters are all immortals or otherwise have been around forever...experenced and long-lived...
I just would like to see a character a little closer to home...

She is neutral in that she is neither hero or villain but more for hire at her own discretion.

She might be like Jodie Foster's character "Madeline White" in the Inside Man, who knows alot, and does things of dubious nature for a high price, in order to protect secrets, etc. All the meanwhile cataloging information that imminently benefits her and gives her more power over those who hire her in the first place.
