Drop your pants and I'll think about it. Happy Holidays.
You should make a more detailed inking to show more definition (it helps ALOT in the final image)...
(I'd offer to do it but I'm currently swamped)
hrmm I'd try it if there was a prize involved

Sometimes it's just a competition. Which is sometimes good enough.
If you can get a larger(preferably about 4x, and not too compressed-- PNG format might help) version of the image, I'll take a swipe at it.
Ditto that. Coloring is definitely not my strong point, but sometimes I like to pretend. (Besides, with a name like Legacy, how can I resist?)
Prizes schmeizes. Kids these days, no appreciation for taking home the pride of a job well done. Why, back in my day...

Ok, I'll have a go at the original and try and come up with a larger image for everyone to use for the coloring contest. If the original inking job is still too poor in quality I may have to ask someone here to redo the inks. I could try and ask my frind in town here to re-ink it, but he'll more than likely make me pay a lot of money for it. I could also try inking it myself, but then I wouldn't expect to see it ready in time for everyone to meet the contest deadline.
Ok, I have the resized image here.
Judging by the lack of interest in this, if there are no other posts in this thread by December 30th, then I will shut down this contest.
I think I might mess with it.
Depends on how much the surgery tomorrow takes out of me.

Orc&Pie No.53230 There is an orc, and somehow, he got a pie. And you are hungry.

Negaduck: I see you found the crumb. I knew you'd never notice the huge flag.
Done.
Did a re-ink and fixed some, but not all, of the anatomy issues that were bothering me in the base image. Didn't want to get too bogged down at it. Quick and dirty cell-shade, since I haven't done that sort of thing in a while, and a simple little background widget to round it out. C'est fini.
Very nice. Very nice indeed. I love the colors that you chose for him. I can't wait to see what everyone else does! I hope everyone's are as amazing as this. If everything looks this incredible I may have to think about finding some sort of small prize for the winner after all (not that I am promising any such thing, but... just... wow).
Are there any other participants in this contest?
I haven't had a chance to swipe Su's inks and start laying some color down, but I'll be doing it for fun when I do - no prize needed here, if you decide to hand anything out.
I originally started this as something fun for the community here to participate in. There were lots of other stuff going on, and I wanted to create a fun little group activity of my own. After seeing the amazing job Su did with the colors I started thinking that if everyone's coloring turned out that good then I might feel a little guilty if I didn't reward all that talent and effort with a little something. I made sure not to promise anything (and I'm glad I didn't) because it seems the participation level for this contest is quite low. I guess it's just my inherant ability to generate apathy.
Again though, I thank you and everyone else here for participating. I truely do appreciate it.
Slow periods happen. A lot of folks are probably still busy with the tail end of the holidays and New Year's approaching, too. Some more folks may pipe up after they've had a chance to send visiting family home (or return home themselves) and take a few deep breaths.
I intend to do a color job, but the holidays and health are affecting my timeliness--I've saved and I'm ready to go, but Haven't had the time.
If I'm too late, I'll probably still put something up.
There's no way I'm topping Su's work though.
I can always extend the time if need be. Just let me know.
Ok, here's my entry to the contest. This WIP only has the flats done so far. I'm hoping to add more detail as I go on. I might even decide to change the colors a little along the way.
4 more days left. No requests for any extensions. Eh, whatever. This is what it is.
Ok, I was looking at my deviantART webpage and while I was looking at the image of Legacy I stumbled across this idea. I want to see what people can come up with for colors for this character. I plan on doing some digital colors for him myself, but I don't plan on telling or showing anyone his color scheme until I am done. I'd like to see what the people here can come up with. So from there I thought I'd make a contest out of it.
Color him to the best of your ability, and pick the color scheme you think would best suit him. What are his abilities? Well, he is a mental juggernaut with abilities along the lines of Cable from the X-Men. A psychokinetic powerhouse who abilties are only limited by his imagination. Well, to an extent. I think his overall power level would be equivalent to Cable while he's infected with the Legacy virus. Maybe a tad bit more. But no where near Cable as X-Man. At any rate, he tends to use these abilities to augment his own inherant strengths. Other abilites may include any of the feats seen in games like Psi-Ops or Second Sight, though he tends to use these abilities less frequently. In the end this makes him appear to be a sort of a Superman character to those who don't know the source of his powers.
Anyway, I set the contest deadline for January 15th, 2007. The original uncolored artwork can be found here. Goodluck!
