i'm not good at weaponry, but i told JTran it's a rather long Katana, and he came up with some random weapon name, and i had no clue, and just agreed, so it might be a No-Dachi, i don't know

Yah basically <@_@> A no-dachi is essentially the Japanese equivelant of a Greatsword, just as a Katana is the Longsword and Wakizashi is Short.
(Granted - the techniques and styles employed with them all make them well... totally different - but that's the best explanation I can give)
