The New Faultline

how about Perez Park? why not reclaim that location? we don't need a hazard zone in that level.. the Hollows replaced it, and did a better job. everyone hates Perez Park. it would interesting to see some reclaimation of the zone, allowing access at least partially to citizens. Longbow patrols? eventually see things going on at the ampitheater.. etc..

Hmmm, I must say I don't really agree with you. Sure, PP is an old zone and could be improved, but I don't see it as a priority. Street sweeping the outer area is actually reasonably popular as far as I can see, there is plenty of alternative material to choose between at this level, no-one really spends that long in t his level range (with one toon), and there are far greater priorities in my opinion.

In particular the four levels 36-39 inclusive are so poorly represented with content that I got through 38 and 39 only by massive repetition of the Warburg zone missions, plus some PUG teaming with 40+s. What tiny amount of content there is in this level range is also highly repeated, and I don't mean just similiar missions, but different contacts giving you exactly the same missions! So when the Developers look at zones to revamp, and new content to add, I would like to see them look at this level range with priority.

Having said that I do really like what I have seen them do with Faultline, and I also like the change of level range to 15-25. It seems a little artificial how zones used to open up at each 10 levels, but nothing until the next 10.

I'm hoping that the next zone will be in the 35-50 lv range. A Rikti moon zone, which is strongly hinted at as coming soon, would fit this level range perfectly since we first get Rikti missions at around lv 35.

Seriously - I'm going to be wasting a few weeks just sitting in those tubs. They're SO comfortable, especially with the new sitting emotes. I'd just like to be able to use the invent emote and sit in the tub at the same time...I'd be set for a month!

I've got quite a few alts, ranging all over the place in level, and they're all chomping at the bit to get into New Overbrook and kick some tail. I might even send my main in before hand to soften up the gooners first.
Part of why I play this game? Good story.
I want to know what's going on in the background of New Overbrook and the Faultline.

well, I agree that lvl 35 - 40 can be boring. and I agree that street sweeping in Perez Park is a good team sport (I'm guilty of this with a two toon team). It's those interior missions that I hate. thank the Devs for letting me drop missions.. giving a lvl 10 toon a mish in the middle of the back woods surrounded by lvl 14 mobs really makes it harder than it should be. well, and I hate that every toon is forced to go to the Hollows at least once. Yes I know it's there tyvm, no need to send every toon I make there at lvl 5 though.

In all seriousness, let's be honest, how many people will roll a new character, waste a week grinding that toon up to level 15, JUST to experience the new Faultline? Are you seriously going to level a character through 15 levels of content you've already done a hundred times, just to experience 10 levels of new content?

[/ QUOTE ]

A week? Takes a day or two at most if you're teaming.

Isolator to 3, Sewers to 10, Posi to 15 --altaholics represent!

FAULTLINE, HERE AH COME!!!!!!!!!!1!!!ONE!!!

This bit I totally agree with you on. Especially getting to the doors of the Perez Park missions, as in omg, there is a bush between me and the door, I better run my lvl 10 character 200 yards through those level 14 mobs, because there is no way my super powers will let me get through a little shrub. Talk about environmentally sensitive! lol

Heck, we were in a similar map and I leveled three if not four times - only reason why I didn't say "Wait, let me get someone else, you have leveled me too much" is I had to quit for work. (14-18, so really 4 levels.)

Positrons Task force has been needing a serious over haul since I3.. with the revamp of Faultline there realy no reason not to redo this task force. I think its fine to still have the final Mission be in faultline, since the zone is 15-25.. the upper level of the TF is 15 as it is..

Definitly should have the final map be on a instant zone of the Dam area itself, and i relay like the idea of hte boss with a key to get into the interior.

Have the final door be one of the biulding near the entrance to the dam area. After getting the Key from the boss inside you open a door in the back, going throw this door players arrive in a instant zone of the dam thats more in level with the Task Force.

CoT are definitly out of this TF.. adding aracnos I think would be best. We alreayd have a TF with Sky raiders and freaks, give us a low level Hero one with Arachnos.

...

On another note.. what so hard about getting a character to 15 to expeerience this zone? I think I put 3 or so hours into my blaster and shes just about 12th level now.

Mike.

I thought that was just a bug, anyhow?

[/ QUOTE ]
A bug? Heck no, they said cool stuff along the lines of 'how the hell did you get in here' when you clicked them.

Me, I think Sexy Jay saw the Melissa & Mike were sexier than he is and turned them invisible.

He meant their absence was a bug, I think. And it's one that's fixed, as I saw them last night on Guardian.

Noticed someone mentioned about the moons' influence. The moon does influence earths tides every day, this is what causes high and low tides. Should the moon move closer than it is now it would cause flooding along the shores it was closest to. Hence making this story line plausable.

As for experiencing the story lines with your level 50 exempt down with a friend or SG mate and run the missions with them, I have. Although I do long for the long ago promised option of being able to turn back the level clock as it were and be able to run these missions as if you were that level. That is in order to get the badges associated with some of the content.

And for Positron Task force being staged in the zone it should be would be GREAT! I agree going to Perez sort of distracts from the fact you are trying to save the damn in another zone.

Oh and thanks to the development team FINALLY opening the back end of this zone! I have been chomping at the bit to see that part ever since I learned of its existance over a year ago. I understand there was major issues with the SG task force that was suppose to take place there but never understood why it wasn't opened up sooner.

Anyway glad to see Faultline is coming to life for once. Now if Boomtown could just be a little less abandoned. :O
