Are I good at the drawing?

I was bored so I decide to draw a picture of my main.
Well, here it is.

Any comments would gladly be accepted. Just don't make me cry this time...

(I don't have any professional tools, so the best I can use for inking and coloring is a Uni-ball pen and some colored pencils. I might try it. )

very nice work. As far as supplies go, I'm in the same boat. That stuff is ludircously expensive. Saving up for a tablet myself.

I sense potential!

as many have said on these boards, keep drawing, nothing beats practise (although a mindblowing natural talent comes a very close second)

and i bet the other other artists on here can give you pointers.

Glimmering Mark - Fire/Fire Blaster

Who knew clocks burned so well?

Lemme guess, draw Zapros? I'll try. Probably tomorrow. Any specific pose?

Not really. He flies, if you want to do a flying pose or some such. He's an elec/elec blaster, too, so if I had a choice I'd say flying and shooting electricity.

Thanks a bunch!!

Looking good! Love the sharp crisp lines and the real feeling of speed it shows. Keep it up! =D

Never, EVER think that someone needs professional tools to become an artist. Never believe that professional tools are necessary to make good art. Draw what you love. Draw all the time. Draw wherever you are. Eventually you'll find tools you prefer.

And whatever else, never quit.

I've been drawin' for years, but like any other artists, I just always thought my work could look alot better.

Reminds me of this artist I'm following who just recently rediscovered the joy that is crayon on construction paper. Honestly, this stuff is great! I'm gonna keep drawing with my pencil here until I feel good enough to post some of it... Oh right, gotta get my scanner working too... :-p

Thats a typical artist response I look at my friends art (Like Graver and Pep) and wonder if I'll ever get as good as them but when I complain to other friends I get the "U r teh awesomexorr " response .

You will always look at other folks work and see things they do that you can't do (yet) thats good because a sense of competition of striving to be just as good as your peers is a great motivator .

as for no professional tools , psha !
I still draw on typewriter paper with number 2 pencils and ink with off the self disposeable micron pens and folks still seem to like my stuff.

just practice practice practice and draw from life as often as possiable .

That all being said I like the picture over all and love the lil details

My only smallish gripe is your horns are missing and the forward wrist is much smaller than the back wrist , you may wish to add more extreme body movement as well next time

All in all a good solid piece

So true. I use cheapie pencils I buy at Hobby Lobby. Not super duper expensive 'professional' pencils. They work just as well.

^^ Exactly right. You can do great things with just a paper and a no. 2 pencil.

Yah, only time you can actually see quality of supplies is in painting with Oil, Acrylic, and Watercolor and even then a true artist can still make even crudy stuff work. McFarlane (as much of an [censored] as I think he is) I've heard used discarded acrylics that he found in the trash for many of his early comics because he was so dirt poor.

For drawing though I still haven't seen what makes a full set of "professional quality" pencils any better the cheapos you can get from a hobby store, and there's still a certain magic that I've found just can't be replicated by anything other then the old reliable number two pencil, whether it be wooden or mechanical.

This has a great sense of motion, and determination, really nice work

I shoulda took more time on it like my other stuff. Then, there would've even been a monkey in the background.

A green one!

More then anything I like the little danging guy in the corner of your drawings Ghost. But the rest is good too :-)
