Possible NEW costume for MarDun input?

Hi all!

I am again, thinking of a change for MarDun.

He has pretty much been the same since beta. Check out his Crey profile (in signature), then decide on what you like the best. Feedback is greatly appreciated.

I changed the chest detail to one of the samurai armor choices. His boots from smooth buckled to Sinister. I changed his chest from insect, to Sinister (for the buckles). His gloves from Bone to one of the samurai kote.

Please let me know?

Thanks!

Personally, I prefer the second one. More continuity between the individual peices, plus the ornate pattern on the chest peice helps to balance all the buckles in the legs.

I might possibly consider a slightly different belt though. The one you got with the second style just really doesn't mesh with any of the other peices. I'd suggest one with buckles or one with more ornate detailing, or even a minimalist type belt just to add form and texture to the mid region.

I like it, although to me, it's a little dark. I'm not against it, just saying that it's hard to see some of the differences.

If you like it, that's all that matters. I've gone through several incarnations of Draco's costume as new options have come out.

I did notice it dark. I would go a lighter red. This may lighten him up?

Sounds like a plan. There are times when I wish I had a better sense of comic book style.

Sorry, not feeling well, and when that happens, I come down really hard on myself.

I think it's just too dark all around. I'd suggest using a slightly lighter shade of red; Black looks pretty good with a bright color. Your other option would be... Though and odd one, use dark, dark purple instead of black.

I have the same issue.

I figure, if you're feeling down, just think; why the heck are you feeling down? If there's not a good reason, just think of things you like about yourself, and do things you like.

I approve of the new costume, nice advancement on the original, yet retaining those parts that make MarDun, MarDun.

Nice work

I agree. Those are the guidelines I tried to follow when I updated Gnomes costume.

I like the second one, it adds just that little bit extra.

Bah! No more black!

Seriously. If you tweak the colors a little bit, you can achieve a very dark color that looks like black, only has some chroma and allows you to actually see the details in things. Try very dark blues/red or a deep grey instead. It looks more natural and people will be able to appreciate the little details in your outfits.

...looks fine, but the question is whether you like it and think it would last for the long term. I have changed costumes on numerous characters cause it looked cool...only to change it back as after "living" in the new suit for a bit I found it wasnt as great as I thought, for whatever reason.

in the end...try it out for a bit and if doesnt seem to work it just a quick tram ride to the nearest Icons. ~
