Gadget Secondaries?
Off/On topic (your choice);
In beta they had an AT called the Gadgeteer. I'm not sure how long it lasted or if it even made it beyond internal beta, but they canned it shortly after the real developement started.

Got canned before beta IIRC. And it was an Origin, not an AT. Besides, that was how ago? Hell, even the decidedly outdated manual has the name of the freakin' powerset correct. It's not like it should be that bloody hard to fact-check.

Many objects in the game which were meant to be immune to Teleportation have been made so. This affects several powers in the Traps Secondary and Gadgets secondary for players.
[/ QUOTE ]
Emphasis added.
Last time I checked, there is no Gadgets secondary. There is, however, one called Devices. Freudian slips like this and folks wonder why some hold the belief that the devs don't seem to know the Blaster AT all that much.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not so much a Freudian slip as half a lie. I don't believe that line for a moment -ment to be immune to teleportation- They wanted the powers to be immobile, set in one place, incapable of movement or to be moved. They never considered Recall Friend, made it immune to Teleportation, and worded as ment to be immune to teleportation when they should say ment to be stationary (as in one spot) and as such, can no longer be teleported.
For crap's sake. It's been how stinking long since launch? Certainly I wasn't the first person to figure out you could 'port AT around. Even if I was, that was a long time ago (pre-I3) and I'd been mentioning that it was possible ever since. So have lots of other folks. Why the change? Why the change now? Stupid work. Someone with AT and RF (or a buddy with RF) head over to Test and see if this is the change that took place please.
Well, it's my belief they just want the powers to be set up in one spot and not movable.
FREUDIAN SLIP: It's possible they ment immune to Teleport Foe, as in PvP. Recall Friend might still be able to move AT around. Trying to get the Test Server up and running, but not having any luck, besides also requiring a long down load.
Test server: Connecting #10....
*sigh*

Um...the devs don't type up the Patch Notes.
@CrimsonOriole
Doms who complain about no dev love get a buff to their inherent which makes them better for everything but the LRSF.
One year ago Geko says he's looking into auto turret to see if it needs love, and after his long searching, it sounds like it is getting nerfed.
Then we get called "Gadgets"...
Are they trying to smack us down, or just raise our desperation, er Defiance meter? Hmmm.....

I would have to say that's a great buff. Not sure how it stacks, but Domination should be able to build hella fast in a 7 man team.
I'm gonna copy and paste my comment from the other thread:
About "Gadgets" it may be thats what devices is called in the pigg files, and thats why they said gadgets instead of devices.. Powersets in the .piggs sometimes have different names then are used in the game.
Or so my un-named sources tell me.

Even though I don't play my dom a whole lot, I'm already able to keep in domination mode most of the time. I'm betting I can stay in double dom mode all the time with a good /rad or /kin now!

Seeing as we don't play with the names of .pigg files, nor do we have unnamed sources to act as decoder rings, I'm gonna go with "they don't know the AT or the game we play".

I am really reminded of the EF nerf right about now. Ah, how I remember, "Hey, devs, you guys nerfed Enervateing Field and if you just do a quick check, you can easily verify this." Of course, they looked in their files and everything was hunky dory. If they had actually played the game, it would have been obvious.
I don't blame them for not really playing the game that much, I mean you can't play this game for any length of time AND get work done.
*someone whispers how much they actually got done*
On the other hand, if you don't have anything better to do, looking into complained about powers would be kinda nice. Not look into them to try and find a way to make them worse, but to try and find a way to make them fun to use as well as usefull.
I'd just delete all my /device blasters in protest, this is [censored].
Wow, Domination got status protection and now it builds faster. Pretty nice. I mean, as far as inherents go I always said "Hooray for inherents that don't suck!" after using it. And this was before the status protection.
Do you not realize that they couldn't even be talking about devices??? They could just as easily be referring to specific powers from the future Inventions system (speculation, yes).
Or the guy/gal/thing that posted the patch notes could be a complete idiot that doesn't play the game.
Or Devices could merely be renamed.
I see no reason at all to say that the devs don't know the game we play.
(btw...Doms have been shunned from the LRSF because of "uselessness"...they now have an opportunity to participate in it---shot down that statement )
@CrimsonOriole
Nah, protests don't accomplish much. Besides, my current */Dev is something of a protest as it is. Granted, a decidedly subtle one that will, no doubt, accomplish even less. But I'll fix those damned windmills. They won't even know I'm tilting at them. Ha!
well, not really in protest, but to make room for something worth playing perhaps?

Not only that, Domination can now build in like 16 attacks under the right conditions. That's nearly 5 times what it takes to build Defiance.
Having been here, for, well as long as we have (read: from time immemorial), we have a certain historical perspective that leads us to believe that none of your floated possibilities are probable. Nothing is impossible, but some things are highly improbable. Well, except for the not knowing bit. Then again, that was probably a cut-n-paste passed on by the devs.

See, there's the funny Ohms. I don't like that uppity, passionate one (especially when you mention something about Blasters...sheesh!)

I assume that you are saying it only takes a blaster being HIT 3 times to build defiance. Personaly, I think Dominators are now a real force in PvE. Too bad they still suck balls in the LRSF.

I am leaning more to the slip of the mind. Gadgets and Devices are the same thing, mechanical objects? It also says there "Gadget secondaries" in the patch message. It doesn't say any up comming "Invention" and the inventions will probalby just be temp powers you can make (wild speculation)
There was going to be a Gadget Tanker set if I remember correctly released at the same time as the Shield Set. Didn't happen though.
