Tidbits and Trivia ((OOC))
And I gotta admit.
Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts was a [censored] to beat.

Hehe, I gotta say, scheme-wise, Sephiroth is my all-time favorite fictional villain.
I mean, just the concept of, "I will wound the planet...and there I shall be, at the center of it all. I will be reborn...into a GOD...!"
Not to mention all the careful ploting, planning, and subtle manipulation of everyone else he puts into it. You gotta admit, Seph worked hard at what he did.

Characters
Yes, yes, Sepiroth is prettier than Kefka the clown, and more than likely more powerful, but I'm just saying there was so much more to Kefka!
Well, as far as I am concerned, after facing Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts, with his... What was it, Soul Harvest? Some kind of cool, instantly kill move, I think he is DAMN tough, and therefore, owns people.
My favourite villain, however, has got to be...
Wow. That is sad.
I have no favourite villain.
None of them are intelligent enough for my tastes, except maybe Dr. Doom...
My favorite villain is Lumine from Megaman X8.

Lu~mi~ne~! ^_____^ There's just something about going through level after level of adrenalin-busting sidescroll action just to have to fight the cute little reploid you were trying to save in the first place.

Whaaaa?
I don't take it you've ever fought Spehiroth in FF7 then - when he performs his Supernova attack, he does this absolutely ridiculously gigantic calculation of doom.
It's got I-don't-know-how-many variables, and fractions and integrals, all manner of partial derivatives, summations...hell, I didn't even see all that stuff combined on my DFI-Q final last year! (DFI-Q = differential calculus and matrix methods. I have no idea where the acronym came from )
So yeah, he's smart enough to solve that monster math of his, therefore he qualifies as very intelligent in my book.

*Looks at Game of Cosmic Chess once again, comparing his own death to this description.*
...I may have to steal a phrase from Pstorm here...
HAX!
I have a lot of problems accepting Sephiroth as intelligent... Yes, the supernova attack did have a lot of math in the animation, but taken in the context of the game the only person who knew a damn about science/mathematics was Cid. Sepiroth accomplished that feat through the use of rare and difficult to master materia. It's more a testament to luck and/or dedication than it is the actual ability to do the math.
I mean, he did have a clever scheme. Just, in Sephiroth's particular milleu, that scheme was pathetically whiny and momma's boy'ish. In terms of the look, Seph has it hands over Kefka, but that's like saying an F-16 is a more important plane than the Wright Brothers'. The one would not have been possible without the success of the other.
Oh, and one other problem... if Sephiroth's supernova attack blows up the sun, then who gives a [censored] about meteor? At least Keka's Light of Judgement had a little more continuity to it. I know, at this point I'm just nit-picking.
Eh, come on now. I LIKED SEPHIROTH. He's not nearly as bad as Kefka and doesn't deserve all the attention he gets, but you know what?
He's a DRAMA HO.
And I respect that.

Hehe, I do get a little over the top. and it looks like I managed to hijack my own thread for another battle in the unending Kefka v. Sephiroth war.
TRIVIA ABOUT ...uh...
*tries frantically to think of a character she hasn't blabbered every secret to the world about*
Oh!
A bit of trivia about all my characters. I mentioned before that my relationship with my brother is really important to me and that I'm fairly small, physically.
All throughout my life, IRL, I've always been the little one. I've always had groups of friends that were boys, that all looked upon me as a sort of 'little sister.' In fact, my best friend still calls me Sissy Nat. ((Nat's my nickname. XP))
If you'll notice, all of my characters - ALL of them - have this structure in place in some way.
Essex has her brothers and sisters of Repliforce Paragon - where she is the smallest and relies on them heavily.
Rosalind has her tight group of friends in Ghoul, Allen, and Kreigg - her boys. Toy and Acid, along with some others, form sort of an extended version of this. Again, though she's an unmistakeable fireball, she's the small one who generally relies on the others.
Nena is the youngest child of seven. All older brothers.
Vanessa has her bots, who she relies on and mothers with everything she has.
Most of my characters have a close relationship with someone in the sibling vein: Na-li and Wei-li, Pariku has a younger brother, Leeni and Ushlax (Yes, he really did just forget her on Earth. XD)...etc, etc.
I guess the only character I have that doesn't have that kind of support structure is Zealstorm. O_o No wonder she's so evil.

As an aside from the current family based conversation over on Prodiguy's thread:
>_>
<_<
Toy killed his parents.
Statesman said let there be heroes, and there were heroes.
Lord Recluse said let there be villains, and there were villains.
NCsoft said let there be nothing, and there was nothing.
Hah, well, if we're trying to get back to trivia....
For those of you in Final Fight, Evil Jaredman was created with a strand of the fourteen year old Jaredman's DNA, but he didn't come out young. Dr. Phillis created him as an adult so he would have more developed powers, and also because he hates teenagers with a passion. So, Evil Jaredman is an adult, while Jaredman is still a just a teenager. Crazy, huh?
Oh, and Evil Jaredman didn't found the Radioactivists, he simply fell into a chemical silo, his DNA structure got messed with because he's a clone and therefore unstable, and he went and murdered the leader of the gang, which was already under the rule of black-skinned radioactive anarchists.
Also, while Jaredman is a devout Christian with the belief that he was given his powers as a blessing to help people, Evil Jaredman is just as well versed in the Bible, but strives to become the Antichrist instead of a warrior of God. I think you can guess his favorite book of the Bible, aside from the end of it.
Maestro is only alive thanks to the intervention of a red cap trickster known as the Rascal King, who guided him through the Underthere when he first received his powers and solved the many puzzles and traps along the way. He also helped a lot in the fights, but he was also a huge detriment due to his obsessive need to pull pranks, which are often extremely dangerous.
I haven't RPed anywhere with the Champion yet! I need a place for my angsty hero!
Hey, Ess, don't forget Locria's relationship with her "brothers" and "father". :3
DAMMIT!
You're right.
See? I can't escape my own conventions!

My alien Stalker Naga Obscura is of a species I had designed for a sci-fi story I had never gotten around to writing more than a chapter of.
In fact, I wrote more on just the species itself so I'd have a reference to keep myself consistent and thought of everything from basic physiology, behavior, social structure, and technology. One of the main characters was from this made-up alien race so I needed this info.
I had written it like an entry for some Encyclopedia Galactica so I could insert excerpts of it into the story at times when an infodump seemed appropriate. I had started doing it in the first chapter by opening with a quote from a fictional astronomical journal that gave some brief info on the planet the protagonist was visiting at the beginning of the story.
So for the record, despite the scales and other reptilian features Naga is not a reptile. She's warm blooded and has a lot in common with humans and their primate ancestors when it comes to what is under the skin. She is a carnivore and cannot digest plants and fruits much at all. She's used to a much warmer environment, which is why she wears a bodysuit while on Earth.
By the way, Mechagogue...
Dancing Mad, as played by the Black Mages.

Praise upon Essex! *bow and scrape* Freakin' amazing! I can not say enough good things about you or this track!
You've made me one happy Mecha! ^_^
Well....Sephiroth was pretty ....
If looks could PWN then he would be ahead of poor deranged Kefka.
