Heh, now I wish I never brought up boobs into the conversation . Now Hal is the focal point of all the frustrations of the female playerbase that is not satisfied with how women are portrayed in comics and video games. Oh, what have I done....

*Makes another female character and bumbs breast scale to max....again*

Oh, do not concern yourself with me, Pharaoh. I am really of no importance.

Nah, Moonscribe crashes all on his own just about every time he dons his full attack chain. You should've seen it last time.

Blar! Back on topic!

If you couldn't guess, Solid Shot and Toy Dispenser are effectively copies of me if I could be what they are. Complete with personality and the way they make fun of everything. I really like the way they make fun of everything comic booky while being super beings themselves.

Also, Toy Dispenser was originally titled as the Toy Box, but that name was already taken once Beta ended and I tried to make him. One of my friends found the person who had taken the name Toy Box a long time ago, but I'm happy with Toy as he is now.

Shane was an a character I had back in the late 80s with the Marvel Superheroes RP game, before the ultimate powers book. He was redone with the ultimate powers book and main character. The RP game fell to the wayside but I never forgot the character. When the x-men evolutions cartoon was on, I modified Shane's backstory as if he were developing his powers in a high school setting. This made an easy transition to SH101.

Lotus was the last D&D character I played. Don't remember which edition, but she roughly translated powers wise into a stalker (though not alignment wise).

AH101 Ella is name stolen from my hero tanker Tankerella who was Ella by short. I carried the name to CoV but added Innocent-Ella the only background I had was stolen hero DNA. She was devoid of personality when she started in AH101 but has become fairly complex though still naive. She is my fun character to write (Usually if you're reading AV101)

Rax another marvel heros game character, though modified since.

Shooter was a Shadowrun character

Agent Immolate in game character with a background, that made a breif appearance in the arena.

HaloInc
Triumph:
Heroes: Lady Halifax, Miss Kia, WhiteLotus, Agent Immolate, Lady Empathy, Sylence Fyredancer, Maiden of Fire
Villains: Innocent-Ella, Aegis-Sprite, Midnight Dragonfly

Some people might wonder about the meaning behind Cobalt Stinger's name. If not then they are about to find out anyway.

Cobalt Stinger was originally a Archery/Devices Blaster I was planning for Issue 5 when archery was announced. The name Blue Stinger was already taken so I used Cobalt instead as Cobalt is blue in color. When I5 came to test I was so mad at how badly all of my Invuln characters had gotten nerfed that I quit playing CoH entirely.

When CoV beta began I got an invite in the first wave. When /Traps was introduced I made a Rad/Traps Corruptor named Cobalt-60 that I grew to like. Cobalt-60, by the way, is the radioactive isotope of the element Cobalt.

But when CoV went live I found that name was taken, but Cobalt Stinger was still open so I used that instead. The stinger part does make much sense without the bow and she doesn't have blue as a costume color, but just how much about the Cobalt Stinger character makes sense anyway?

Additionally, she was originally meant to have a connection to Malta, so the wacky codename could have worked in an organization which has a gunslinger named 'Kitty Kat Bravo' but I dropped that connection while I was rewriting her backstory.

Anyway, something regarding Toy's bots.

Some people might be wondering why I refer to Toy Dispenser as 'he' while his bots are firmly 'it'. I shall need to reference a part of Toy's history for this.

Toy Dispenser gained his sentience after completely rebuilding his system after a virus wrecked 50% of it. After a while, Toy became interested in learning how other robots gained their sentience. He has collected quite a few tales and files ranging from the mundane to the esoteric. Using this information, he tried to make each of his own robots sentient in turn. Unforetunately, he never entirely succeeded in any case. As such, while each bot has quite a varied personality and will respond to things in unique ways they cannot change their personalities over time. In 100 years, Mini Bot will still be as naive and child-like as it is now, although it might be a bit crazier, but that's another story. The personalities break down as such:

Mini Bot: Child-like, naive, more than slightly crazy
Toy Bot: Endlessly logical, the most robot-like
Small Toy: Quiet
Large Toy: Professional
Block Bot: Depressed
Combat Toy: Gung-ho 'shoot first ask questions later'

None of them will become something else unless Toy completely erases their systems and starts over. And considering his success rate, Toy would rather just leave them be.

Now, Toy is a 'he' because his personality is male and because it will change over time and with experiences. His robots are 'it's because they are effectively frozen in time, behavior wise. However, everyone I write who speaks of a bot will refer to them as 'he' because people don't like saying 'it' all the time.

As all may already realize, I tend to create characters around a Central Main character. Not that the other characters are less interesting or only supporting characters, but I tend to make better characters when they're family/friends/enemies/lovers of a main and branch out from there. I'm planning to plant another tree with Ailin Blake(Flora-Thorn) which will branch out to other characters that centralize on magic origins(like how Ian and the characters he's involved with centralize around natural).

Anyway, another useless tid-bit of info: Ian keeps his right hand wrapped for three reasons. 1.) it protects his fist from being cut when he punches stuff; 2.) he thinks it looks cool; 3.) during his training to atune with elements, he had an accident with some fire and it crawled up to the handle of his blade and badly burned it from his fore-hand up to his wrist. He keeps it covered because it's a constant reminder of how weak and vulnerable he is as well as his inability to master the techniques his sensei taught him.

Neither of Anna's parents was a demon, the 'genes' have been in the family line for many generations, perhaps all the way back to the fall of the Mu. The powers have been recessive since then, passed down the generations until some reckless CoT mystics gave her an infusion of magical energy big enough to 'throw the switch' and cause her to transform into her current form.

Maestro is based on one of my good friends who once told me he played a bard in D&D. He read a few of my comics, which had heroes based on my friends, and pleaded for me to make one based on him. I created Maestro, the lute slinging bard, and eventually came to like him so much that I made him an entire background in my Arcadia storyline.

Dr. Phillis' robots are humanoid and have faces because he believes it makes them far more intimidating. Their AIs are also based on this principle. If someone if fighting a robot that acts so human, they'll be unnerved, and won't know what to expect in tactics.

Dr. Phillis' favorite author is Ralph Waldo Emerson, as anyone in Superhero 101 will see soon enough.

Evil Jaredman once tried to free Charles Manson. He failed miserably. He also attempts almost anything metal music tells him to do, no matter how stupid or illogical.

Scaku can only talk to his father on the chaos plane, but his father can punish him from anywhere.

At some point, Toy is going to go into business as a secret base salesman. He'll do it as something to do on the side and to have an excuse to create more specialized robots, very few of which any of you have ever seen.

I have to wonder if ANYONE, including myself, really understands the relationship between Hallucinogen and Schizophrenias. Some clarification:

Schizophrenias is an alternate personality inside Hallucinogen's mind. Hal's powers caused him to manifest, or he would not even have a physical form.

Hal and Schizo are the same person. They have the same feelings, emotions, and goals, despite being enemies and having radically different personalities. If you look closely, everything one of them feels has a mirror in the other (unless I messed up somewhere, which is perfectly possible).

Hallucinogen is suicidal, but tries to resist it; Schizophrenias is suicidal, and not only embraces it but is determined to take the world with him.

Hallucinogen admires Essex, and manifests this as relatively innocent love. Schizophrenias admires Essex, and. . . yeah, it's not so innocent with him.

Hallucinogen fears the world, and withdraws from it; while Schizophrenias fears the world, and strikes back at it vengefully.

And so on; those are the best examples I can think of. I can't say too much about Hal and Schizo, of course, especially with Crown of Thorns not being over yet. But that's probably enough confusion for the time being.

Virelai is very, very insecure and constantly tries to look for acceptance and recognition. Through her lack of tact and empathy, most of the recognition of negative, which stings her. She also tries too hard to be a badass.
Virelai hates it when other people angst over minor, meager things. She's so tempted to scream out "You think YOU have it bad?!" and then waylay how her entire LIFE sucks and every day makes her want to die, but she hates angsting.
Virelai is also quite suicidal, though her morals refuse to let her kill herself, combined with the fact that she's the only hope her parents' legacy has now.
Her revolver is a Raging Bull, and she's quite an expert at fanning it. Sometimes it hurts her to do so, but, well, she's used to pain.

Devin is nucking futs. But you all know this.
Despite his complex mind and insanity, his moral code is actually quite simple: Bad guys die, good guys get healed and live. He's very black and white.
Devin is a Doom RP character. There you go, military background and gunning explained.

Well, I've gotta head to college now. I'll likely add more about Devin and Vir once I get back, and delve into Morgant/Rendition.

When Essex was originally created for the Megaman RP my friends were running, she was actually incredibly...

...emotionless.

*COLLECTIVE GASP!*

Essex was cold, serious, and level-headed. She rarely spoke, and when she did it was always something practical. She was a repair bot, but was moreso on the technical aspect than on the 'healer' aspect.

The one defining character trait she had was determination. She was a lot braver; and even jumped out of a helicopter to save Genki (before she had the ability to fly. Essex tied a cable to Burner's leg where he was clamped down, tied the other end around her waist, and jumped).

I still haven't changed her bio since the first time I made her, and it reflects this a little, calling her quiet and distant and claiming that it takes a while for someone to get her trust.

We all know that's a lie.

Sweet, I was thinking of getting one sometime but they don't make it in .357 Magnum. Either I'd have to go with the .44 Mag or go with the Tracker line as they have .357 Mag.

Anyhow...

Cobalt was originally a lot less emotional. After a while I decided that is was simply more fun to portray her as a perpetually cheerful semi-autistic teenaged wannabe mad scientist instead.

Actually, there's two compromises available. The Model 416 uses .41 Magnum, and the "Raging Thirty" uses the .30 Carbine ammo, though I have no clue just how available they are. They're not the .357 mag, but, well, they're there.

As another random fact, Vir's Raging Bull takes the ungodly .50 S&W ammo, which has enough stopping power to drop down elephants, rhinos, and bears--since she's able to make ammo instantly due to her ice manipulation, it only makes sense that she'd go with the biggest cal of ammo, heh. Despite the unfathomable power behind the shots, due to her training and inhuman strength, she is capable of dual-weilding them effortlessly. Out of CoH/V, however, she only uses one, and has all sorts of neat, utterly-impossible-in-real-life tricks she can do with it. One example is how she melees the opponent with the butt of her revolver, palm on the barrel and finger in the fingerguard, then twirls it, firing three point-blank shots to her opponent's torso.
Her revolver is a single-action, which makes her tricks even more flashy and impossible.

(More details coming on Morgant, Vir, Devin, Gearfate, and Walter...sometime. And thanks, Py! Nice to know people like my chars, heh)

I don't like .41 Mag for the same reason I don't like .40 S&W when choosing between 9mm and .45 ACP, it feels like I'm half-assing it on power and accuracy.

Kathode used the Raging Bull .500 Magnum once in AH101, but trashing Reikoff's sapstick during the Malta Raid was pretty much a lucky shot. I didn't have her bring it on the trip to the abandoned lab since it would have been an unfair advantage.

Oh, and Taurus Revolvers are Double-Action/Single-Action so 3 rapid shots is possible if you have enough strength to pull the trigger that fast three times. At least all the ones I checked out at my local shop where.

More of a 9mm guy myself. It gets the job done well enough for me.
