4. Flower Girl was my entry for a pencil challenge on a messageboard we used to run. And here it is in color.

5. This piece was done earlier this year. It is my first and more than likely my last life drawing, lol.

Those last two are *REALLY* good imho!

the earlier ones weren't bad either... simplistic, but not *bad* by any stretch.

Fight Club is one of my favorite movies. So several years back I rendered a GILL BATES soap bar in Maya. I wanted to add bubbles but I had too much other stuff going on at the time so I never got back to it. Don't laugh too hard...

Also, some of you folks's 'old school' stuff's so much better than my current stuff it's almost depressing. Ah well, eventually yes.

As for Anime and Furry being strikes, maybe I'm just seeing attitudes that aren't there. Forget about it. One thing's for sure, though, I am going to get back into drawing, retraining myself to do better.

Oh believe me, if anyone has been the target of anti-furriness, it's me. :P Personally I think they make a wonderful art target. Fur can be both difficult but highly rewarding.

I gotta say thanks to Gill for getting my interest going again in doing artwork after going through about a 3 year burn out. Heres two pieces the first is from roughly 10 years ago from when I played the old text based game Gemstone III and did character work for players. The second is what I started up a couple days ago of my Plant/Thorn Dominator Mistress Belladona.

Ok I found these ...not really high school but right after

Both date from 1982
One was charater for a champion game

the other was an attempt at a comic book (never got beyhond page 2)

I wish I had more time right now to post descriptions for some of my old sketches, but I need to get up early, so I will just let you rummage around my old site and my photobucket site .

Beware of pop-ups on my old site, they have taken over since it was last updated in 1998. If you are brave enough, you should click on the frames version and then the drawings link in the frame to the left. There are more pics in the frames one then in the non-frames. A comic I started in 1993 is in the gallery.

On the photobucket site, you can click on the old sketches link or xmas cards for some of my older stuff. Most of them from 1995-1998, except the Ninja High School comic is from like 1993.

I'd have to really dig to find anything older.

Hope I'm not too late for this party!

I managed to dig up some old work of mine, but the earliest I can reach is 1980's ~ around college time. There's more. I can see it, its only about three feet away. (ahem) under about 15 year's worth of jun -- er, very necessary, and sentimentally valuable stuff!

Anyway - some of it was kinda big and had to be scanned in pieces, then pasted together in photoshop. Its kinda all over the map, quality & stylistically.

I'm actually pretty pleased with 'em! (ah, memories!) As to everyone else's "vintage" work - Great stuff! - so many to see by now!

Gill - okay, when do we get to see those drawings from when you were 7 years old?

CuppaSquirrels - I love the "Ayanei - Death From Above" pic!

New Eden - I can only get the link to your Deviant Art page to work! wait, I can also see the "UnDeadTed" pic - which I really dig!

Starchasm - nice photo manip, can't wait to see the "huge cache" of other drawing!

DarkJedi - I dunno man, that one looks kinda familiar

Innovator - Wow, thats a pretty hot painting! and I, too, remember the days fo the Remorhaz and the Thri-keen (or was it Thri-Kreen?, maybe I don't remember so well )

Graver - Man! Even in the earliest stuff you can see the conceptual artist bursting through! All those characters! Wonderful stuff! I think my favs are "Mutants and their Space Ship: '89" and "More characters "

Serrate - for some reason the "Plasma Bot" just pops out to me - simple, but it pops!

CuppaRowr - yeah, big, sweeping strokes, from the shoulder! "no little scrathy lines" as my instructors used to say. Had one who said: "if I had things MY way, you'd all be drawing Life Size like I had to!"

_Lush_ - Hey, those're cool! Ya know, I just recently got ahold of some old sunday funnies pages with comic strips from way back - and your stuff reminds me of them!

Crimson_Jimson - wow, Elfwood! I haven't thought of that place in years! That first image - "Beryl" thats tight. Clean, and I dig the pose. and "Calmert" - Great, great armor plate! Good stuff!

DracoExMachina - I think "Amazon Mouse" is my favorite. And hey, ya gotta draw whuts ya like!

Nightchill - Hey - those're both great! Welcome back to drawing! (does that sound corney? )

_aZa_ - another Fight Club ref (I suppose I oughtta rent that some day)

Greymist - Champions! I remember that! I like the Atomic Knight in your Deviant Art gallery, too!

Thanks everyone for the comments on the first two. I want to give digital painting a try I just need to find some good tutorials to get me started. I'd love to use paint on Belladonna instead of the old ink and color pencil method I used on the old ones.

I almost forgot all about Champions (I still have most of the books)! From way back in 1992 before I lost my soul...err... I mean a couple of years before I was married, heres 4 of my old characters.

As much as I wish I was that good, the pic of Ted was done by Crimson_Jimson. Hes the roxxor.

Dunno why you can't see the other pics. Maybe I'll up load them into my DA site if I get a chance.
