Have you ever made a hero based on a Country?

I did once <,<; I don't have a pic though.

Her name was "Nihon Taisho" which translates *kinda* to "Captain Japan" (if I'm remembering right).

She was all white, with a red sun in the middle, those cheesy looking red rings on her shoulders, and that hair that kinda goes straight out to the side at the bottom <,< it was absolutely awesome.

But I got bored with her <;.;>

I remember a Captain Italy a while back, I think he's still around. On Virtue of course.

Quite a few, actually.

Cap'n Canada - Ice/ice blaster
Policy - Rad/rad corruptor (Canadian based)
Comrade Russia - Rad/rad defender

I had an American flag based villain, who I actually got a lot of angry tells over, and a Hero based on the national colors of Trinidad. They all ended up boring me, though.

Americans, Canadians and Communist Russians are pretty common.

I have a former heroine named "American Schizo".

<@o@> She was once a hero; and still thinks she is - very patriotic... but she took one too many missiles to the face. So now she thinks the government needs to be replaced with the original founding fathers <,< Her solution? Necromancy <'x'> So now she's got an undead horde of dead presidents, congressmen, mayors and other historical figures <,<;

I don't play her much though - I'm afraid of what you mentioned above; even though this character isn't meant to be a political statement of any sort >.> Its just a funny thought.

There is a Superhero Group on Triumph called Global Heroics... They have 3 SGs for their Elites, Academy, and regular players... and those memberships are virtually full.

Pretty good stuff, and really organized. You have to have a country and be named "Mr/Mrs/Miss [your country here]" and be in the countries color scheme. Like I said, very well organized. Look them up in Triumph.

United States Army, Special Forces = Green Berets, so he can get away with a blue beret and still be American

I've made the Canadian Shield, but I was waiting for the Shields powerset to recreate him to play.

THAT is one damm fine suit. Seriously.

To the OP, I don't have any nationality themed heroes- (Yet) but I might make a villian named "American Made". Yes, it would be a politcal statement. Get over it.

I had an entire Supergroup of International Heroes designed long before I played CoH.

United Nations H.E.R.O.S v1
Canadian Shield (leader)
American Revolution
Chinese Dynasty
British Intelligence

United Nations H.E.R.O.S v2
Canadian Shield
Big Ben
Mighty Mississippi
Great Wall
Red Square
Autobahn
Outback

All of the heroes in it are normal people in Super Suits that do various things. The first version of them is considered the "True Heroes". They disbanded when Chinese Dynasty died fighting a Super Villian called "Alpha Supremacy". British Intel retired because she was to heart broken about it and American Rev was hospitalized for a year when during the same fight against Alpha saved an entire city from a Nuke that Alpha sent. Canadian Shield went off to form an Intergalactic UN.

When Shield came home after a year and a half he tried to reform the team but Rev had already decided that he was more effective when he went solo as just "Revolution". Shield became the new head of the UN and formed a new H.E.R.O.S with a brand new Canadian Shield.

Like I said...I designed them long before I played CoH.

PS: The full name is...

United Nations' Highly Elite Regional Operative Squad
