I wanna get in on this...my art seems to improve everytime I draw and this would be another good exercise for me. I'll start on it once I get home tonight.

Hey Pep, I do have something I could do for you, but I'd need to make a demofile of your costume data. Any particular time you're usually on?

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm usually on at night sometime between 6pm-11pm EST, and weekends anytime.

Today, I'll probably be in game off and on this afternoon until 8pm, then maybe from 12am-3am EST since I'm on vacation.
I could be in game at any time saturday, so let me know whens a good time.
In game, I'm @Pep_Rally. I forget if you need the underscore or its just a space.

This is so cool!!

What toon would you like me to draw? Please give screenies, bio, and personality.

I can't wait!

-Pep

Ok, I finished my Atomic Knight sketch. so now I have KidRaid, Dragonberry, and Hemily. Am I forgetting anyone?

I'm not sure when they'll be done. I'm going away to Maine with my parents, sisters, and 3 nephews from Saturday until Tuesday, so I'll be away from my computer. I'm gonna bring my sketchbook, but I'm not sure how much time I'll have to draw with my nephews attacking me.

Have a fun 4th of July everyone!

Thx loads much Pep!

Like always, you know AK better than anyone, and it shows! Fabulous concept and drawing. The attention to the detail is astounding!

And...I finally got my PepSketch (trademark)!

My plans to whip up a pixel manipulation of Pep have been sidetracked due to work, weather, and life in general, but I WILL finish it eventually. After that then I'll send you reference info and all that for your end of it.

You're just seeing this NOW?!! Jeez, ...slacker! I even put a subtle linky in the Legendaries forums.
Anywho, I'm glad you like it. Did you notice his chest reactor is in the unstoppable crash position?! I'm especially proud of that.

Jeez, I go away to Maine for a few days, and my thread ends up on page 5.
Anyway, I wasn't able to draw much while there, except for a couple nights after everyone was asleep. I did a couple quick sketches of kid raid (he was supposed to superspeed attacking foes then shadow maul the last guy) and dragonberry(with wings) , but I don't think they are good enough to trade.

Soooo, today, I made another Kid Raid which is a little more complete. I may try to clean up the sky raiders a bit, but I'm pretty happy with it. I hope you like it Greymist.

Next is the real Dragonberry sketch.

OMG Thats awesome!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you like my sketch of Dragonberry with scales or without.

I know dragons don't tan, but I figure if she's coldblooded she'd like sitting out in the hot sun.

I do? It must be my superior erasing skillz. I do spend about 49% of my time erasing what I drew, so only about 2% of what I draw actually ends up on the final picture. I feel like I have to battle to get every line to go where it's supposed to.

I was actually going to ask you how you get your rough sketches to look so great just by themselves. It looks like you did it without erasing at all, and it looks so awesome.

pshah im scared of backgrounds and you do backgrounds all the time .

I am also soooo stealing those scales you did was trying to figure out scales for A DB piece Earlier see no scales yet

anyways I usually rough out my pics to about that point then do any fine tuning while inking and then do any shading with my colored pencils .

still saving up for a wacom tablet so I can really start experimenting with photoshop

Posted

I really want to get a tablet, too!! I only have an old photo program named, Photo Impact 4.2 tho.

OMG, those scales took me like 2 hours. I think I went a little bit insane, and blurry eyed. Now I know why I don't see many dragon girls in comics, even tho they are really cool.

I can tell it likely drove you insane but it really makes the pic !
I have been playing a lil tiny bit with photo shop but its super mega complicated (to me ) but coloring with computer is cheaper than coloring with markers and pencils

Posted

AWWWW! Those are both so cute!!! Pep and the goblin is adorable and sunbathing Berry is great! Those scales are first rate! *steals that method*

Hehe, actually I think she's doing the most hideous of dances, the very one I did when I found that sweet drawing from her of Abby here on the boards. You shouldn't dance that dance... it's a bad bad dance. It's completely outa control! It stays out all hours of the night drinkin' and smokin' an' havin' sex... an' it talks back ta me an' don' listen ta me none 'tall. Ya gots ta help me, Maury!

Seriously, Pep, I love your DB drawing so far. The scales look great, especially on her right (our left) leg. The shine that you have on her thigh (looks like by erasing a little) is a wonderful touch. I love your neurotic commitment to detail (it really is a sickness)... even the chair she's laying in is excellent. All of those plastic straps are wonderful and you have them sagging in all the right places to really give DB some weight.

I can't wait to see this one finished... or DB's Pep Rally... she's really the perfect subject for DB

Whenever you want a tablet let me know. My work has them for under $100.

Posted

Er...Pep, what would you use one for? I'd love to know because mine isn't getting enough use from me.

Posted

Pep U can pick up some very nice tablets for 150 to 275 range depending on what you want/need. I nice bonus to the Wacom tablets is they include Photoshope Elements 3.0 (1 generation old), and a few other nice programs. The list price of the programs included (they are older generation full versions btw not stripped down demo stuff u normally get) is 150 to 200 to buy separately. Plus Wacom owners get discounts on new programs too!!! (and they are fairly generous discounts). Soooo long story short, you would get a tablet plus a nice program upgrade at the same time. Think about it.

Posted

Thanks celsia, thats makes a wacom tablet even more tempting.

Aaron, Im not completely sure, but Im thinkin it could help me color stuff.

And to Graver, I hope you're satisfied. I sacrificed what was left of my sanity to make more scales on my Dragonberry skethc!!!!mwahahahahaha .
And I did use my eraser to make the highlights. I told you my erasing skilz were elite! I can erase anything.Even watercolor. Go ahead. Draw Pep in watercolor and send it to me, I'll erase it.
