Drawing for my son

Hey all you amazing artists. I have what I hope is a small request. My 8year old son has done a pretty cool job of writing a comic book story. He has fashioned it after the new cartoon 'Ben 10' in which the main character has a watch that grants 10 alien powers. Well my son's character is able to morph into 13 characters with different powers. Their names of course signify their power.

Is there any chance of getting someone to draw up 13 quick sketches that he can print and paste in his comic? I can post the list of names and see what happens or however you want. I could probably offer a little cash as a incentive.

Let me know what you think. I am not looking for anything as detailed as some of CB's or V's work. Just a quick sketch that shows a little of what the character is.

1. Ice.E (ice)
2. Spike
3. Speed
4. Stretch
5. Flame
6. Shape (morphing powers)
7. Strength
8. Tackle (rhino type guy with Horn)
9. Fangs (walrus on steroids)
10. W.W. (Water works)
11. Spark
12. Smart Guy (the brain)
13. Telly (teleporting guy)


And just for giggles. A boy drawing would be cool.

Maybe he could make 13 different characters using COH and showing their powers, instead?

CoH and CoV combined offer a good range of outfits and costumes. And moving them around offers enough screen shots. Also maybe some folks would be willing to alter their characters to fit your sons's description and show off poses that fit the comic.

Just an idea, a way for you both to make those characters together. or have the community help ya.

I actually considered this, but because he came up with a Water Guy, Stretch, Smart (big head). I couldn't think of a way to do them and then turn them into a cartoon type drawing. If there are any ideas on how to use a program to morph a screenshot into something cartoony please let me know.

I am so artisticly challenged it isn't funny. I can draw a cartoon that I can see but can not create one from scratch.

So these are supposed to look like cartoons and not comics then.

I would have to say along the line of a cartoon superhero. Not as much detail as we find in the comics. Like maybe the way Batman or the Justice League is done.

I knew this might be a shot in the dark, but it really goes into the Daddy Bank when you try something like this for your kids.

Having a son of my own I know where youre coming from Static so Ill see what I can do. Ive never really drawn in this style but hey Ill give it a shot. I have alotta work to so my time is a bit limited but hey here goes.

WOW. Gill, that would be totally awesome. I was actually showing him some of your work last night before we posted. He loves what you have done. Cool. My son is gonna be so happy. I will post the comic story when it is done. He is writing it like a book now and wants to turn it into a comic. Thanks again.

I have to say, it was so much fun just watching you sketch these. Ahh to be a kid again, lol!

Not bad for someone that never drew cartoons before. As many people here in the forums have said many times, you are very talented. I used to draw cartoons alot before I got into drawing comic style. If you want you can print it out and give it to your son as a gift. I would have drawn the characters for you but I am so busy with school.

Yes ! I'm really amazed myself by these sketches.

I think if someday I order a drawing from Bill, it will be a cartoony style, it's really refreshing.
