Our SG has same issue except the computer offers us a TaskForce from Silver Mantis (who is an arachnos agent) which allows us to start but never contact her since she's in Sharkhead Isle and we are heroes .
We are hoping that this will be resolved with next patch.

There's no resovling to do. She's a villain contact, you're heroes. There's no way you should ever be able to contact her. That SF showing up in the mission computer is a bug, and they have said that they are working on a hero TF, but don't look for it for a while.

So Villains can have an Item of Power but we can't yet? 
The IoP trial is the Cathedral of Pain and will be available to both hero and villain sides once it's moved off of the test server. (Hero groups on test have successfully completed this trial.)
The Silver Mantis strike force is a villain-only 20-25 strike force accessible only through the mission computer. Supposedly there is a comparable task force for heroes that has not yet been implemented in the game.
Heroes getting offered the Silver Mantis TF is a known bug and will be fixed.
The Cathedral of Pain is a special mission that is only available at certain times. The first of those times has not yet occured live.
Wow - cool - thanks for the response Lord Recluse. I have two other question for you regarding the Mission Computer if you don't mind - Will the heroes be getting access to a non-IoP TF like the Villains -and- Will both sides (Hero and Villain) be getting the oppurtunity to do other non-IoP TF's down the road using the Mission Computer?

Has anyone had problems with the Silver Mantis TF? We did it and the team was all killed when the end boss (Duvay I think) came out and killed us all (team wipe). We went to the hospital and when we returned he had despawned and we could not get him to respawn since alll defenses had been taken down.

Don't see why there would be a hero TF anyway. Bad enough that the 20-25 TF in CoV can only be done via a SG mission computer. CoH already has TFs for every block of 5 levels, starting with 10. CoV doesn't have a SF until the 15-20 range, and no SF exists for 20-25 other than the SG one.

He flies very very high in the sky. At least that's what my teammates told me after I logged out. I was to tired to wait for an answer to a petition.
We thought he had despawned also, but he really hadn't. I'm not sure if he was invisible or what, but we started clearing mobs that we had left alone (including ones around the burning ship) and eventually someone on our team found him.

Now, I don't mind that we need to spend more time to build our base than larger groups. I don't even mind that we won't be able to participate in base raids. But for goodness' sake, please don't exclude us from base-oriented PvE content as well.

While I haven't done this SF yet, I read on a thread about this that he can be found high up, SW of the platform you first meet him at.

accutly what i think he did was not Unspawn, but Parked him self some where in the Map in the Air, we had the same thign happen to us expcet we spent an hour killing tuerrets then we searched the map and found him parked 1/2 up in the air sitting there...

My svg has unlocked the mission computer and we can make the mission computer,BUT we can't make the mission computer on the basic arcane table.The instructions say to go to another basic table(my guess the tech basic table) any input of wiether or not this is a bug? Really didn't want to buy another workshop yet.....
The item named "Mission Computer" is the tech version of the mission computer. You should be able to craft an Oracle at the basic arcane table that does exactly the same thing. To craft "Mission Computer", you'll need to use a basic tech table.
As with all aux items, use the tech version if you use tech control items and the arcane version if you use arcane control items.

I've been wondering about this but haven't seen it answered on any other thread: If you have the mission computer, can you run the Silver Mantis task force more than once? I ask because we have more than 8 people in our group who would want to do it, and eventually others will be in the right level range. It seems like you SHOULD be able to run it more than once, but I don't want to assume anything here...
My CoH SG didn't get the badge for SKing yet (and thus unlock the Mission Computer) but I noticed it was available to us on the worktable recipes so I took a chance on building it and it work - we got it.
Only thing is when we went to check it out all it had available for missions was the Item of Power trial - wasn't there supposed to be a non-IoP TF on it as well? Is it not available to CoH SG's? Did i miss something or do something wrong? Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated - Thanks.
