It's quite a trick to land an AS on a target Superjumping through the zone though. Trying to attack someone while they're traveling to their destination (and feel "safe") seems fairly difficult to me.
Of course if you find someone who likes to stop and enjoy the scenery regularly, I suppose you could be in luck, but their info window isn't going to tell you that.
It seems to me that most people in PvP zones never ever stop moving unless their reading stuff from their contact, rezzing from the hospital, or engaged in battle (and sometimes not even then).

On the contrary, just as most of us stalkers do, heroes will scope a situation before charging in. If your in the actual battle already, you won't really notice this until they charge on in. They like to pick their spot just as much as we do (they will if they are smart anyway). When they're picking their spot, I'm lining up the AS.
Are you suggesting that the only way to stalk a hero is by attacking them in their base? Everyone has travel powers on all the time. If attacking someone with a travel power was that hard, we'd never get kills. Just pick the right spot. It's not that hard.

Sometimes I'd hang out near the BB and SiCal gates just to catch Stalkers doing it(If you think that "XX seconds to PvP" message would have spared you, Think again!). Lemme tell ya, some of them were quite the wiley lil sneaks almost turned the tables on me. But the same could be said for Heroes who exploited invisibility and teleportation powers to occupy areas they should not have been able to access either.

Warspawn, have you sent these via PM to anyone? I was in the zone the time you are referring to, and the trash talking by a couple of the individuals was beyond acceptable.
As for the Hospital camping... Why is it that the Hero hospital..
A) Has a drone about every 5 feet and the Villain Hospital does not?
B) The Hero is designed so once a Hero exits the doors they can immediately go in any direction, while the Villain hospital is designed in such a way that a couple Stormies can prevent any player from exiting the hospital?
C) Why are the Hero respawn tubes totally unaccessible to the Villains, but the Villain respawn tubes can be hit with AoE powers?
I was in Sirens Call this evening just prior to the server restart and was prevented from leaving the hospital for several minutes. All I wanted to do was cash out and log off before the servers shut down.
This type of Hospital Camping is griefing, and those who know me know that for the most part, I think just about anything is fair in PvP.

[/ QUOTE ]It's not exactly a secret. All it is is spawn/base camping. There's already been about 3 dozen different thread about it, and they haven't been locked/deleted, since the mechanics of what it involves are not hidden.
All this talk about stalkers being a weak AR. I seen so many stalkers drop off the map since 2day launch night. Why? Hardly anone knows how to play em. Well I luv the toon. I have over 50 kills so far and one death to show for it between my grinds. Simple reason....I am an opportunist...I hunt the permiter and StalK!!! Why we r called stalkers My E/N build with teleport foe and caltrops is pure evil. Battle doesnt start off well run for the hills:P Hint....carry lots of break frees! Anyhow my made my builds for 25BB & 30SC! Unless there is a nerf I have no reason to respec. My stalker pwnz and am luvin it:P

Those are some names I'll remember. While it is fun to successfully defeat an opponent in PvP, the type of harassment they supposedly did is just obnoxious. I can live with someone saying "lol omg owned!" and going off on his merry way after he defeats me, but constantly badgering someone just because you're defeating them is immature and crosses the line to bullying. Some people really need to grow up.

Perhaps I'm inferring too much here, however, if the change was to
prevent a perceived exploit, the inferrence (to me) is that there are
(intentionally???) no true safe zones per se... ie. if a player can still
sneak into the area (when an enemy player *isn't* present) it still opens
up the possibility of a fight, albeit the 'victim' has a much better chance
to see the attack coming if he's near a drone when he does show up...
Hmmmm.... That raises some interesting implications, I think...

I haven't managed to read through all the comments here, so please forgive me if I've restated something.
A buddy of mine who's a huge stalker fan was playing one for one of the Beta events (Bloody Bay, I think). He managed to sneak past the heroes' drones and into the hospital bay. He sat there and killed them as they teleported into the hospital! Talk about serial ganking.
So, I don't know about giving heroes buffs, but the drones themselves need to be able to kill stealthed characters!

mwghost probably didn't mention this, but you should never take his comments seriously. For one thing, Tribute definitely does not suck at PvP. We've been extremely successful individually and as a group since the arena first hit the Test Server.

Then keeping everyone bubbled, he put quicksand and earthquake down on the little respawn capsules, and when someone spawned, he'd Tp Foe them near his team in the hangar and they'd kill them. If one of his teammates died, mwghost would recall friend them right away back to the hangar. They had fun.
