This supergroup was founded by a group of University of Michigan alumni in honor of their alma mater. The original heroes have since moved on, but the current members wish to continue the group's legacy. The group is similar to a fraternal or sports organization, with goals of philantropy, scholarship, good sportsmanship, bonding through friendship, and (of course) having fun. All heroes with similar goals are welcome.
((The Victors are especially well-suited for alumni and fans -- IC or OOC -- of the University of Michigan, but any hero with a generally positive outlook is welcome. Reluctant heroes are OK, but anti-heroes should not apply. Despite the fraternity-like atmosphere, female characters are welcome, and hazing is inappropriate. RP and PVP play are welcome but not mandatory. Likewise, players are encouraged but not required to wear the team's traditional maize & blue colors. However, characters under 25th level should play in supergroup mode full-time so that we can complete our PVE base as soon as possible. Guild Description: The Canadian Shield (CS) has been around for some time (right from the beginning of beta). The Mission of The Canadian Shield is to promote a strong sense of comraderie and friendship. We are a team. The CS is a Role Playing Super Group. With some well thought out RPing we can achieve just about anything, from Missions to Player vs. Player to Badge Hunting to SG Events. The Canadian Shield does a little bit of everything, because anything is possible.
