I would actually like to see a Hakama option similar to the Tsoo Sorcerer.

[/ QUOTE ]

Likewise. I've been holding out for the option for a while. At least the new stuff will better capture what I -tried- to do with the current options on my katana scrapper.

Here's the real question; is that jacket/T-shirt combo a SINGLE costume option, or is the jacket an extra on the top of the t-shirt.
I pray it's the latter, because that means I can finally wear a jacket over my Chitin skin.

From the looks of it....

Miki is wearing the basic motorcycle jacket with matching t-shirt, pants and sneakers. From there, the combinations are limited only by personal taste. Change the pants. Add boots and gloves. Change the shirt. Mix up the colors. ItÂ’s always going to look good.

[/ QUOTE ]
Quite possibly Yes, you will be able to change the shirt only

Ahh! Good detective-ating!

I'm still rather disturbed over the Stuffed Shoulder Kitten though,

*Wonders how many sailormoons are gonna be running around now*

If they included the scarf and big ribbons, more than could be comfortably concieved.

Looks like they have the makings of the stereotypical tough Japanese schoolboy also. (as in Yuusuke or Kuwabara)

I'm kind of hoping they have a vest/coat thing kinda like This guy.

Edit: Oh yeah, also hoping for Left-Eye Eyepatches

Can serge fit one of those robes over my robotic arm? I know we're a little hard to fit, but I'd recommend his place to everyone if he can pull it off.

Man...I...love...you guys.

Oh, and you guys will be ruining my life when I4 hits Live. I already spend way too much time that my friends make fun of me for it! With the advent of the new styles, this is just gonna make me a complete Icon [censored].

Ok, the teasers for I4 have official worked out the knots in my shoulders. I'm ready for my 'happy ending' now. Patch the test server.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES!

We're all still missing the key issue here: Stuffed shoulder kittens.
Best costume option ever? I say yes.

Posted

Stuffed shoulder kittens make baby Jesus cry. And then implode.

Posted

Yes, but how do they make *LaserJesus* feel? I'm more interested in that, if we're speaking of *Jesuses - babies cry a lot anyway.

I want man skirts sooo bad. You know...like kilts and the tsoo sorcerer's robe.....not any girly skirts or anything like that..........

Posted

i saw some "man skirts" in the PVP trailer

but it was more like a realy long shirt that was tied to gether at the waist by a belt/sash

I also wish they would put an Icon in King's Row, and also a Hero Corps vendor so I can sell my enhancements.

As it is, I'm having to use my second account to port my character to Icon in steel when I'm level 8 and realized "my mask makes me look stupid" or whatever.

I know it doesn't excuse the lack of a Freedom Corps rep in KR to sell enhancements at, but the Independence Port franchise of Icon is just a few hundred yards west of the KR gate, and there are relatively few baddies between it and the gate.

Regarding the costume options, I'm very pleased. Open leather jackets and sneakers for men are both going to be very nice additions to my heroes' casual wear.

I do second the hope that we can have other skin types under the jacket - I have a big orange beast who I'd love to have be able to wear a jacket without compromising his funky torso.

Easiest Icon to reach with a lowbie is actually the IP one. Go to KR, and walk to the IP entrance. Then carefully navigate past the 1 or 2 groups of mobs and you're there.

With some sort of stealth power, its a cakewalk.

I just noticed Lin's trousers - they're all ragged and torn up on the cuff - I can finally create my homeless sewer-mutant in full glory! God bless you Cryptic!

Posted

Eep! I use the IP-KR connection all the time on my higher level characters when they have to go to Atlas but I never actually thought to use it on my lowbies to go to the second tier Icon Store. I just considered it "beyond my means."

Duh, my bad. And thanks!

Is there a vendor in KR I've missed?

Nope, no KR vendors to my knowledge... but I always use that Icon if I need to change a lowbie's costume.

I also noticed about her and Miki that they both have faces that I could vaguely interpret as Asian. I knew they were adding some controls to the faces, is that going live in this feature too? That would be nice, my Katana Scrapper looks like he could be a member of Iron Maiden, but in no way does he look Asian. I've not found any passable face, I'd look forward to some customization.

Yeah, the facial (and body) reconstruction is coming in Issue 4. From what I've heard it's pretty impressive too.

Posted

Yes, quite impressive. I was able to play with it at WonderCon. So many freakin' sliders, it's insane.

Posted

Face sliders? Like... SWG type face stuff? That's the only thing I really miss about that game. XD

Posted

Oh yes, my friend, face sliders. Lots of em.

Sigh, still no trenchcoats for my DM/Regen gumshoe Phil Noir...I may give him the leather-jacket outfit for his as-yet-unused third slot for a more casual street look. (His first costume gets him mistaken for Family. :-)

And it would be nice if we could get jetpacks some day. I dimly remember Statesman saying somewhere that wings weren't going to happen for technical reasons, but I'd think jetpacks would be a good bit easier.

Still, new costume options are always appreciated.
