Adrenolin Boost: the disorient effect needs to go
Umm, how does it affect Fortitude in any way? Empaths have *no* natural toggles (unless one of the secondaries has one). I can see how it hurts leadership and pool buffs, but it works fine within it's own set.
It works fine in emergencies. I pop a discipline, and then cast it. I don't mind having to use an inspiration for emergencies. Emergencies aren't the problem.
Tough fights aren't the problem. I don't mind waiting 20 seconds before a tough fight to cure my stun.
It's only in regular run-of-the-mill encounters that I don't use it that much. But then, how often do you use Unstoppable or Moment of Glory or Novas? I feel like my AB has roughly an equivalent drawback to my Blackstar, so I don't think a one-slotted AB has big problems.
That said, I'm not slotting it up much any time soon. It works now because I use it infrequently. It could probably take a 2nd recharge (to go with my perma-hasten), just so it's more typically ready when someone Novas... but I'd still have to have someone else in the party to use it.
And most other defenders/controllers don't seem to do a good job of keeping me mez. free. FF, Kin, and Storm can all cure my disorient, but I only tend to use it a lot when I'm with an FF, and can just follow him or her around after using it. But that's not the power's fault.
I think this power is roughly ok the way it is. It's not fantastically amazing, but it's a decent power.

I think the disorient effect is no big deal as long as the pwer does something spectacular. As it is now it does nothing more than add additional endurance, health and a minor increase to recharge rate. How about keeping the disorient effect, but add some more to it like Fort, incresed defense, massive increase in recharge or something of that line.
I would like to see AB be something that other heroes would be clamoring to get you on there team for. It would be a power that your team would use when battling the arch villians or really tough bosses.

Thank you for looking into it. Bottomline: this game is based on risk vs. reward or in the case of this power reward vs. risk and it just doesn't even come close.

Pop a discipline before you fire off AB, it has a good chance of stopping the disorient effect =)
Use Medicine/Aid Self (includes Disorient Protection. This was added in ish 4 I think, when Health got Sleep Resistance).
Yes, that's two powers to get, but Aid Other will speed up your heal badge.
Also, is AB's disorient mag higher than the mag 1 mez protection of Acrobatics?
AB had the disorient removed ages ago. Serious necroposting.

The disorient for AB was removed a long time ago. It's one of the best buff powers in the game.

10-20 seconds of no natural endurance recovery... RA and Catch a Breathes would still work (as they do with Psychic Wail... except Psychic Wail knocks out the toggles too which is why I think a reduction to base 10 Endurance is better than 0 Endurance - gives you a few seconds for RA or CaBs to work).
And in regard to using AB as a battle starter only... well it's not just 30 seconds of disorient and toggle re-enables, but also impact on your other buffs that are running (invis, Fort). I suppose it's do-able in a way... but it's kinda of whacko to have an empath knock themselves out trying to buff up a team member.
Now that I know about the Disciplines workaround I'm tempted to just shut up and go that way (!) but it just seems wrong!
