Orlando has some great convention facilities. One is even down the street from my office

Vorpalkreep, Lil_Red_devil and Zarwer are right, Orlando is definitely where it should be! (And I say that even though there is a very good chance I will be living on the west coast by then...)
Even better, I wil give a genre relevent reason: Marvel Superhero Island at Islands of Adventure.

Boston area has 6 flags with Superman, Batman and Nightwing and other sick sick roller coasters.
But O-Town is good to. Havent been there since I moved.
Islands of Adventure is awesome - the Spidey rides rules all others!
I vote for Atlanta
1) Hyatt and Marriott are used to the Dragon Con and we'd be a piece of cake after that.
2) mini mall and cheap food abounds
3) $1.75 gets you from airport to hotels via Marta
Lets see 6 flags, Dave and Busters, Zoo.....
Woot! Must start work on my War Witch cosplay outfit...
...says the 6 ft, 275 pound man with scruffy beard.

I, for one, want one. Realistically, it would happen during the summer - so next year is a better target.

(Intro Music)
City of Heroes Presents
Unknown_Hero: Bet you regret making that promise!
Statesman: What promise?
An NCSoft and Cryptic Production
Unknown_Hero: You know... the FAN FESTIVAL...
Statesman... Uh-oh...
In Association with Unknown_Hero
Statesman: We promised the customers a Fan Festival, but we don't have the time or the money to give it to the customers!
CuppaJo: Well, there's that WoW Festival that's happening this summer...
Statesman:...Really? Hmm...
Stealing the Fan Festival
(End Music)
Coming this Summer!

Yeah .. they are currently in the process of nerfing fans .....
...event canceled
He never promised, he just said he wanted one and that it would realistically happen this summer.
But you probably know that and used it as a pretext for your funny post. Which it was. Funny, that is.

my house, this weekend!!!
bring something for the potluck, ill provide plates and utensils.
I vote for Las Vegas.
I want gambling, and booze, gaming on massive scale, and fire trucks!!
I vote we wait until they finish building the first hotel orbiting the Earth, and we hold it there. That gives us time to plan...
I have an idea! No wait...it's just gas.
Hellscorp
i dont think it would be in the best interests of the developers health to meet with fans of this game atm.
i think they are going to continue this cycle of nerfs till they outnumber the players of the game and are confident they can overpower them.
A better question than "where" is "what". That is, what activities would you expect to participate in at a CoH fan fest? Who would you have as hosts and guests speakers? How much of it would be strictly City of Heroes and how much of it would be comics/superheroes in general?
A fan fest will need at least two days' worth of activities as well as some kind of banquet or party affair. Some panels, some participation events. A costume contest/dance? Other contests/competitions?
What activities would make you willing to spend $25 - $50 to register and a couple of hundreds or so to travel to it?
I second the vote for Orlando.
