More likely that Cryptic thinks no-one can finish it, in the time allotted.
But this way they get people to attempt it, and can confirm that there are no bugs along the way.
The most interesting point of all this to me, is that it really sounds like I7 will be pushed live next week. -

How the hell is this any different from a Blaster sniper squadron.
who as you admit can do slightly more damage, and doesnt have to wait for hide, and can follow up with more high damage attacks,
(unlike stalkers who's DPS drops dramaticaly after 1 attack.) -
So can stalkers now start up a petition to get EM melee powers or Cloaking Device nerfed for Blasters ?
cause you know ... we OWN burst damage melee attacks and stealth, so its not fair that any other AT has them.
Perhaps you can make a new scale (like the 'range' scale), um let s call it the SUCK scale, and we can put these blaster attacks on it ... you know cause we are insecure and cant share our toys.
Castle: How about some options here,
1) Remove snipes completely, because everyone is too precious about that, and give us a goog utility power (Focused accuracy, or power boost would be nice), this might make the PPP's at least 80% as good as the APP's. (as an aside, do any of the developers =there really think PPPs are better then APPs?), if that is unacceptable give us the lvl 32 blaster nukes instead, then after the outcry switch it back to the snipes (with melee damage).
2) Change the snipes to be on melee scale, but change the powers so that they are like a long range spines/Impale (then apply your normal formula for end/act/recharge). This means snipes are still apparently the property of blasters, and stalkers will end up with some long range attacks that dont suck in comparison of damage/end/act. -

um, i think your melee mod is the same as your range mod, cause they are a 'Ranged AT' and dont suffer the handicap, the only classes that were being handicapped were stalkers and brutes, but they have now been brought into line with Scrappers and Tanks. -

Mu Lightning must be bugged. Or the info on the power is horribly wrong.
It says it is High Damage(Energy). However, its damage comes in at just between Jab (Minor Damage) and Punch (Medium damage). It's *nowhere* near Haymaker's or Hurl's Damage (both High Damage attacks), but its recharge is exactly the same as Hurl's, it even has the *very same* range.

It was like this for the APP's as well, but half way through testing the Devs realised that the powers also to actually be worthwile in and of themselves (otherwise you would just like ... run up and hit them) and not just novelty acts. at which point they based the APP's off the classes damage modifyer.
Hence a Scrappers Dark Blast does more damage then a Defenders Dark blast.
that they havnt done this for the 'better' PPP's is just retarded. -

Specifically:
Melee AT's have a considerable lower Ranged Damage modifier than Melee Damage modifier. For Stalkers and Brutes, the Range modifier is 2/3 the melee modifier.
So, if a Melee attack rated at 'High' does 100 damage, a 'High damage Ranged attack could be expected to do 66 damage before slotting.

That might make sense with scrappers having a 112% damage modifyer, and you dont want scrappers better then blasters ... but with stalkers it really puts the CRAP in the the craptacular PPP's.
Seriously who here remembers the Dev comments about how PPP's are 'better' then the APP's. At this point i am pondering if they really do play a different game to me.
Hows this for a suggestion, scrap every one of the PPP's, give them to heroes as extra APP's, i dont care, then go back and make a bunch of real PPP's that actually build on our strengths and dont 'bring the suck' as it were.
Remember when you released the APP's and everyone was really excited? the fact that no-one likes the shite selection of powers on offer should give you some clue as to how badly you have misread your customer base here. -

The regen value for stalkers and scrappers is the same because regen is based off your total health. (with stalkers having less health).
Hence you can use the same regen values for both ATs and still have stalkers at 76% effectivness of scrappers.
The actual numbers for defense and resistence powers are not a function of your health, hence they need to have different base values across the ATs. -

I just wanted to remind everyone the _Castle_ created and submited the design brief for Stalker dark/dark (i remember it mentioned in Beta)
(he did this *after* the 'stalker techno defence set' was supposedly going to be released next issue)
As such it is my beleif that it has probably been changed to really gel with the stalker playstyle.
Who is to say that Dark Stalkers doesnt have CoD as their number 1 power ?
or that Oppresive gloom is now placating minions ?
I think that dark is going to have some very interesting 'utility' powers, and maybe something we havnt seen before, possibly building off the new stuff we saw in ninjitsu -

Recluse and Mako were in the kind of position that give the coders more work to do.
coders are the guys that squash bugs.
If anything, those guys leaving would have 'sped up' coding on outstanding issues. -

Well, i hope you liked it, i think its pretty good for a 1 person SG with an under 20k cost. -
I made a 2 gig video of fighting in breakout. the largest miss sstreak i found was multiple 3 miss streakis, but no 4s (where the streak breaker kicks in to convert to a hit).

My Current Belief is that Accuracy (and the streak breaker) is working in the correct ranges but that ...
(a) The rand function is very streaky and should be replaced
(b) Various bugs are effecting some encounters
(i) Streak breaker not kicking in until you hit once
(ii) Effective Auto-miss on disorientated foes
(iii) Effective Auto-miss on cone attacks -

Have you done the Manticore Task Force ?
He is all about borderline illegal methods, hell he even brags about it in his pep talk at the start.
Manticore definetly set Wyvern up, and in the End of beta event he had a bind that said "I wish i had MY Wyvern along for backup" -
or here is another test to show that something is broken.

Overdose on accuracy via - TargetingDrone + Acc SOs + Aim + Buildup + Focused accuracy + Acc inspires.
If you ever miss twice in a row after that then something is broken. -

If everything was 'working as intended' that would not be possible.
Take a lvl 1 single target attack and brawl.
both have 75% accuracy.
in order for a 10 miss streak to occur, Prisoners would need to have 65% def.
