very very cool...always wanted to do a SG or common team pic like this....I will someday if I can find a stable enough group. otherwise I may just have one done of all my own characters...

in regards to time taking 5 months I can see why...yeesh...look at em all standing there. although this in turn also what makes this piece so friggin cool (imo).

I also like how it has a very [u]Kingdom Come[u] feel and look to it. these are but another portion of the younger generation heroes out there....

nope....more a statement about history and how it is portrayed. that...and it just sounds plain cool for a sig...heh

in regards to the shanara series...for all the fantasy fiction I have read, I have yet to read any of those books.~

man...took a hiatus from my lj...just now trying to get back into the swing. been a long time since I have written anything substantial...and to be honest kinda miss it. although, what I wrote about wasnt really as much substantial as misc ramblings...~

bad? I dont think so...remember, many of the people here have been drawing for years and years. personaly I think your off to a great start...so dont be down on your work to much. I still love seeing it. sides...you may be suprised what even experienced artists take away from work such as yours...meaning style possibilies, perspectives, etc.

I would assume because not everyone has test loaded on thier system. *shrug* although, I would think that it could be held in one of the PvP zones to allow villain types to play too. the down side here would be the ganking horror stories....

artistic license is ok in my books, especially when you are talking about Free art. since we are talking free work here I find it is ok to critique the artists and make requests but at this point the bottom line decision is his as he is doing the work and what inspires him for the piece in question. and remember...its you character...just think of it as an alternate costume your character will, or had worn. you said it yourself...why look a gift horse in the mouth...he could have just said "screw it" and opted not to draw the character at all...and that would be the real shame as then we wouldnt have great pieces of work like this one.

now if it was a paid piece I may have some issues but these issues can be quickly resolved. how...the artists presents the changes he has in mind. if there is a good reason and it doesnt "break" the concept of the character it should be good to go. although, if you are dead set on having you character portrayed exactly as in game then the artist should do his/her darndest to make that happen....

personally....I am pretty open with regards to my characters and how the artists portray them. I have made no attempts, yet, to control the posing and have actually only made one request to date in regards to actual costume used. (that I can recall). I have made a few suggestions here and there when asked...but for the most part I have told all the artists (whether commissioned or via free request) to draw what inspires them... I find that if you allow them open range and draw something that interests them it shows much more in the work itself. why? because now they care about the piece a lil bit...they are drawing something that they want to see. sure, they have guideline of the supersuit but everything else is just about fair game with me...

rambling bad...sorry...just something kinda feel stong about is all...~

when I was reserving names on the servers for my two characters...whiteperegrine was good to go, wasnt surprised. unfortunately, Citenik was taken on two of the servers...I was seriously bummed. he's literally my oldest super hero...his origin starts with Marvel Super Heroes (the yellow box...before advanced MSH)

I still go back from time to time to see if they have freed up...but no luck as of yet.....
...heck even my global is @citenik

...and just so we are clear it kinetic backwards, I pronounce it something along the line of ki-ten-ik. its not a variation on satanic....although I did get a chuckle out of that one. heh

anywho...if you know anyone with that name out there...see if they would be willing to give it up. I have a couple names on Champ I may be willing to trade for them. ~

....still find this a very cool and inventive idea. had I the skills I would offer up my services immediately. to be honest though, thinking you may want to go with some of the more polished artists here...hopefully one of them may be willing to donate their time and ability for this lil program of yours.~

as you mention...the right thing ta do is ask. personally, I love seeing the various steps but I can also understand artists not wanting to show their work until it is finished. either way...long as the art is shown in some fashion I am a happy camper. ~
