Heh, yeah. The hair was mostly just a quick scribble, as that's the part I'm least worried about. I spent the most time trying to get the body and face right, seeing as this is the first time I've drawn something below the neck.
I think the body's fine, but the hair needs work, yes, and I would say make the ears bigger... Like, from the top of the eyes to a little under it.

Ink
Changed up the hair. Made a few little adjustments too. All I had was an inkball pen (didn't want to use ballpoint), so the lines are a little shakey because of that.

I like it a lot better inked too. However, I'm a bit worried about shading it. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to shade with ink, and what I'm supposed to simply use dark colors on to get a comic book like effect. =\
Personally - and remember, this is just my preference - shade nothing with ink. Shade it all with colors >.> It creates a more 3d effect imho.
I grant you - that won't achieve a "western style comic' look exactly, it'll be a twinge more ... well something else <,< But it looks nice imho <. .>
If you want to know about ink shading though - I recommend PMing Crimson_Jimson. Because he's freaking awesome.

Hmm... I still can't figure out what would be the best way to color it. I want to try to go digital, as colored pencil looks too grainy and washed out...
I have a tablet, but I stink at trying to color it... Anyone got any suggestions or whatever? I'll take anything at this point...
I might try shading it though...
Whee double post. I feel so naughty...
Anyhoo. I took the rough sketch that I made first, cleaned it up a bit, inked it, shaded it, and attempted to draw a background... I hate perspective.... ugh...
Anyways, suggestions are still welcome, but I'm most likely going to keep the hair where it is :P

lighten up the eyes....she has no "whites"....otherwise I think it looks great!
definately should look to coloring in some fashion. only way to get better is to just do it....~

It's my first time really shading (except for with little doodles) with graphite in about 6 years, so it was a little tedious.
Looking at it small now though, I think I might even out the hair a bit on the right side, it looks a bit lopsided. Also, I made a few mistakes when I was inking her right arm, so it's a little off as well.
still not a fan of the eyes...they look bloodshot to me completely shaded in like that.~

I think the eyes are fine. They're not completely shaded, there is just not much shine.. Just another way to draw eyes.
I was gonna mention the eyes but I think this is looking really good other then the big eyes lol.
Lush is a bit older too I believe but I am sure thats not an issue!
