Rage doesnt triple stack. It will look like it doesnt but you didnt get it to triple stack. But even if you do have enough +rech to make it triple stack (which prolly wouldnt be TOO hard on an SS/SF) im 90% sure you dont end up getting those numbers.

I dont understand why you hate the new rage crash. But im a little biased i guess, ive got several SS toons and rage is one of my fav powers in the entire game.

Um, having more HP doesnt increase the strength of a heal. So the dark heal wont actually be doing a 20%ish heal on a WP toon or perma DP invul. It would do even less as far a % after you get some sets and the accolades. Im not sayings its a bad heal though, its still sweet REALLY sweet.

FS does a little bit more dmg than tremor does but has a slower rech. In the end (after sets and stuff) FS comes out of top as far as DPS even before rage. And then after rage FS can have almost twice, if not more, DPS than tremor.
Not to metion tremor has a slower activation time. -
damn you all for being right >.< (since all i had was meh gut feeling wasnt really suprised)
Just tested out stacking rage and reds got about 2:50 average.
I was however suprised by just how much it helped my time. I dont even think i ever ended up using more than like 4-5 reds in a run cuz i would only pop them when i dont have AoE up and that actually doesnt happen too often.

I don't get it what reason is there NOT to get temp protect if what you are going to be doing is an AE fire farm? (or am i completely lost and you are talking about something else?)

But later today i will run the mish a few times without stacking my rage and then i will run it a few times while stacking my rage, then see which is faster.
I think he ment during the rage crash, and durning that time yeah. . . ghost slaying axe(i like sand of mu more though) > KoB. -
Not sure were ppl seem to think that having rage up more will slow you down, but i guess it might if you dont have vet powers or something. But ive actually got it so in my AE farm most of the time i can hit the ticket cap in about 4min so once i get that second crash i just leave.

Not to mention that its crazy easy and cheap to make a good SS/fire(/mu) farmer for at least the very limited application of farming an AE fire map.

OP was on a /fire brute and when you say cap your res at 90% that kind of sounds like you mean all dmg types. So I think thats what dersk ment, as that would be impossible on a /fire brute.

Well, I like to know what someone wants to do on a toon before i make any comments on the build. So what is it you plan on doing on at toon phase?

If you wanna do just about any normal farm you will be eaten alive as you have no KB protection.
If you plan an AE fire farm you dont need all that S/L def (unless you found one of the bad ones were the dudes are EXTREME and not custom).
If you wanna farm quicky dont get one of the hero APPs get mu, fences and ball is just sick AoE. I guess pyre is ok too i just dont like having to get 2 other powers to get 1 AoE. -
For a secondary i recomend you get Willpower, specially if this is your 1st brute. I'ts really great for lvling up and rather epic right out of the box.

Not really, the biggest weakness it has is its lack of KB protection which is pretty easy to fix. But you have some nice (not great) res numbers and one of the better (faster) self heals out there. But its not sure not the best defence set.
Also, what are you doing tanking on a brute? :P -
Without doubt SS/ is the best out of the 4, believe it or not its got insane AoE, prolly some of the best out of all the brutes sets (if it beats elec/ or not is debatable). Anyway, I’ll try and keep this short:
1. Rage: +80% dmg and +20% tohit ALL THE TIME (well, there is the -9999% dmg thing but if you got vet attacks you can use those), not to mention it is possible to get it so you are stacking rage really easily.
2. Foot Stomp, imo this is the best AoE attack brutes can get. It's just that good (I didnt believe it at 1st but its true). -

Traps offers the first and the last easily. You'll need minimal recharge to keep the -regen of poison trap up full time.
Bots are a full range who will even buff your shields even further meaning you don't need to slop for more defense but can instead focus entirely on recharge or worry about them getting hit by a pbaoe.
Bots traps can probably solo more varieties of AV's then any other Arch in the game.
I think merc could prolly be really good as you can slot the -res proc in them but ive never tried that out. -
Dogs would be sweet (even werewolfs like we already got would be interesting i guess)

Bots is actually pretty good at taking down AVs, my bot/dark gets AVs/heroes/GMs down to 0regen really easily (so he could solo some of the "easier" ones with just SOs) and most of that is from the plasma things on my bot. Not to mention you got +def and also some -dmg. (which AVs don't resist making it affective pseudores) Also if you got immobilization(which most AVs dont have any resistance too, without there god mode that is) you can keep them from running out of the assault bots burn patch thing.

I don't get it, i dont really remember having any trouble maintaing fury from group to group. Infact it feels worse now, before the changes i would be running around with about 75-85% fury in mobs then dropped down to about 65% at worst. Now i have trouble even getting up to and staying at 65% in mobs without running at x8. But that said i don't see THAT big different as far as my kill speed. It just sucks that my fury bar isn't as full as it used to be, which just isn't as rewarding feeling.

Yeah, a claws/WP brute would prolly be the best early on.
