  1. Would be good to join you, but my closest at the mo is only 47.7.
  2. Arbiter Drones cannot see through Superior Invis, so it's great in the PvP zones. Also gives a base 7% increase to DEF and can be kept on all the time. The intricacies of how it works in battle will have to be explained by someone else though.

I think it's a bit messed up atm tbh. Tactics can see through Superior Invis, which arbiter drones can't... But tactics can't see Rikti drones...
  3. Personally I will follow the fight until there is a victor or I lose track of one of them, then attack the one left in my sights.

    Energy/Fire ??

    [ QUOTE ]

Very detailed, but it's flawed from the first sentence because aim and build up don't take Damage enhancements. Only Recharge, End, and ToHit Buffs.

    [/ QUOTE ]

He means 3 damage SO's in your offensive powers, not in aim and build up.

    Edit: Oops, double post.

    Energy/Fire ??

    [ QUOTE ]
Based on the fact that Power Boost doesn't seem to affect build up, aim or the DoT damage of the fire attacks, is there any real urgency (or point at all?) for my fire/energy blaster to take power boost?

    Skimpy

    [/ QUOTE ]

Power Boost also increases speed. With 3 slotted recharge and hasten on, it's down time is ~5 seconds (it's on for 15), so it is very useful if you use either Hover or Fly in PvP.

Also I assume you will be taking some kind of epic hold, which it is obviously also great with.
  7. Ok, never thought much of the end recovery power as my troller doesnt need it but obviously very useful.

Again, my hero planner has a higher brawl index for psi tornado than fireball, and the higher smash/lethal resist on mind over body. But that could just be a dodgy hero planner throwing me off.

Edit: Just so you know, I dont actually have either of them. I went stone for character concept.

Nothing beats the fire epic, in PvE imo.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Even though the question was not about PvE as hobo said, I disagree.

Aoe immob + psionic tornado = dead bodies.

According to my hero planner, Mind over body also gives more smash/lethal resist than any other epic shield, not sure how accurate that is though... Then ofcourse there is the mez resist..

    RE: pvp rocks

    [ QUOTE ]

Come to test and I'll show you that MA/regen can kick a /nrg blaster's [censored] any day of the weak.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I cant remember the last time I was killed by a scrapper... especially one that isn't spines.

I cant get my test server working at the mo, but trying to before 8pm tonight.
  10. You do a good Nekomimi impersonation..

Kinda wierd post you have got there But yeah blasters aint good in pvp Ive never played CoH but the blasters ive met in PvP usualy goes down realy fast, They do good dmg but lack the skills to stay out of range.

    [/ QUOTE ]

A good pvp blaster will have no problems taking down anything except controllers in a 1vs1, and possibly a spines/regen (but only if it's that pesky chives or knight stalker!)
  12. If any PvP oriented corrupters would like to have a test fight in the arena (at any level) or in a PvP zone, I'd be more than willing to bring Gat along.

    Energy/Fire ??

    [ QUOTE ]
So to wrap it all up neatly for you, keep your primary power pool, pick something else for your secondary

    [/ QUOTE ]

Or switch them around. Go Fire/Energy and have the most destructive combo on the game.
  14. [ QUOTE ]
Ok, as an Mrg/Nrg, I can see a few problems

Hasten will cripple your End use unless you have some End Regen and is not really useful that early.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Hasten will not cripple end use in pvp without end reducing enhancements. As this is his level 50 build, it does not matter that it is chosen that early (I take it at level 6 on all alts anyway).

    [ QUOTE ]

Bonesmasher is ok but no better; Energy punch is dire (imho).

    [/ QUOTE ]
Bone smasher and energy punch are both fantatsic. There is only 2 attacks in my elec primary that do more damage than energy punch, zapp and thunderous blast. It is also a vital toggle drop for 1v1 pvp.

    [ QUOTE ]

Two travel powers? I always thought that was a little wasteful, but if you're taking Hasten anyway *shrugs*

    [/ QUOTE ]

I have 2 travel powers on Gatling, and feel for a fully PvP oriented blaster you need both fly and ss. Unless ofcourse u want to pick up tp foe in which case u would have to drop fly.

    [ QUOTE ]

    Only 2 epics?

    [/ QUOTE ]

There is no need for any more.
  15. Always run, but never to the safe zone. It's a pride thing.

I do hate people who run to the safe zones in warburg though. What's the point in being there to fight if you're gonna do that whenever you're losing...?
  16. I would personally drop stun, pick up conserve power at 24 and boost range at 35.

Boost range is nowhere near as useful a it used to be in i5 (it did give an 80% boost but is now only around 40%(maybe even lower..)) but I think it is still more useful than stun. I found stun only to be useful when fighting a tank or scrapper 1vs1 in the arena.

Boost range is also still easily perma with 2 recharge rate and hasten.
