Arbiter Drones cannot see through Superior Invis, so it's great in the PvP zones. Also gives a base 7% increase to DEF and can be kept on all the time. The intricacies of how it works in battle will have to be explained by someone else though.
I think it's a bit messed up atm tbh. Tactics can see through Superior Invis, which arbiter drones can't... But tactics can't see Rikti drones...

No idea on its technicallities but anything that hides you is good in pvp 
a yellow insp will reveal you though.

My ss/inv brute with tactics can see through superior invis and at quite a distance too.
I was asked to do a trial for an ill/kin troller friend with superior invis and beat him 3 - 0. I even managed to resist his pets and keep him targeted 
The only time i struggle to see the target is a stalker with hide and stealth until they attack.

But without tactics?
would I be able to creep up on someone then eat them?

Ok, my bad. It's weird how you can see them within 10 yards though, as if they have stealth..

It works well against mobs, I can walk right up to turrets and arbiter drones without being seen. It's not very effective against defense sets with +perception powers though. Stalkers usually see me long before I see them.
I really should do something about this signature.
Basically if you're an Illusion Controller in PvP you're silly if you don't have Superior invis and keep it on all the time.

I started off with sup ivis then I heard good things about steamy mist + group invis,but that didnt turn out to be true so im gonna respec into sup invis.
i normally keep sup invis + group invis running while safely in my bubble.. this to prevent me from losing all my stealth powers when somebody manages to detoggle sup invis.
Also it seems that with sup invis + PFF, you are invisible even to ppl with perception buffs (or they just dont bother attacking lol)

Afaik different types of stealth and invis dont stack. In PvE only SS stacks with anything.
When you are invis'ed, you can stand on top of a player and he wouldnt see you. If you add different types of stealth, you only lower the range where he can see you.
So group invis + sup. invis = sup. invis
Invis + group invis + stealth = sup. invs + lowered range where you can be spotted.
I think invis and stealth are 2 different things.

Group Invis is weak,before my respec I had group invis everyone could see me now with sup invis I was in warbug doing the rocketman badge and several people were in there and I went right up to them sat in front of them and they couldn't see me
I can see straight through sup. invis with tactics.
I once fought an illu/rad with my own fire/storm troller. I could see him before he could see me. I used steamy mist (stealth) and tactics. He used sup. invis.

PS: when I was running group invis I was also running steamy mist and it mad not a bit of difference(well that I could tell anyway)
I suspect that once the new 38+ zone goes live most people will respec in tactics

How good is Superior Invisibility in pvp?
Is it as good as hide?,because group invis sucks,its practicly just a defence buff cause I am spotted easly by everyone in there.
