When you say slower are you just talking about set up time?

Force Field Generator definitely seems really cool and is one of the things that is drawing me toward traps.

But if the set up time is long, how does that work in teams generally?/How easy is it to find teams at higher levels as a traps fender?

So I've never managed to take a defender past 20...(shame on me I know), but after seeing some great ones in action I really wanna join in on the fun!

So I'm mainly deciding between Rad/Sonic and Traps/Dark. I tend to favor more active play styles and prefer never having a dull moment. As a defender, I just want to completely debuff my enemies into the ground. Like, fetal position while my team kicks them over and over. Radiation seems like it might not have enough active powers for me, but the traps powerset doesn't look that impressive overall, least not on paper, but the forums seem to really like these two combos, so I'd be more than happy to hear reasons about why I'm wrong ^_^

Is the new /EA at all competitive with /nin? I was thinking of making a new stalker with electric melee as primary and was originally looking at /nin, but some of these new changes to /ea look really yummy....

Does anyone know if you can still use Lightning Rod with Hide up without breaking hide? I remember you used to be able to use LR to blink in, then follow up with an auto crit Thunder Strike from hide.

So I stopped playing a month or two after GR came out because of school and other commitments taking over my life, but now that it's summer I have some time to get back into the game

Anyway, I wanted to start a new toon but was having trouble deciding on what to make. Previously, I leveled a scrapper and brute to 50, but also really enjoyed my fire/fire blaster. I know I definitely want to try a new powerset, so I was mainly considering Kinetic Melee or Electric Control. If I go Kinetic Melee, I'm pretty sure I'm going to go KM/nin stalker, but I am slightly worried about the viability of that build in teams =/ . In terms of Electric Control, I really have no idea what I'm going to do since I've never really played either Doms or Controllers, but I'm definitely willing to give it a shot. I was maybe considering an electric/psi dom.

It seems like there's more to do in the late game now so I'd like my toon to be viable for all of that stuff too (I'm still kind of fuzzy on the new late game and incarnates and what not - does CoX have raids now or something?)

I downloaded the 3GB .dmg file, but my macbook pro refuses to open it! I just got this laptop yesterday, so maybe I'm missing a certain program?

For my next project I want to level up a /MM blaster but I'm not sure what primary. And I'm going for highest possible AoE damage.

The consensus seems to be fire, but I am somewhat reluctant to use it since I already have a fire/fire and a fire/em, so I was wondering how far behind Radiation Blast and Sonic Attack (with Shockwave) are in numbers?

Or if someone could tell me how to run the numbers myself, I'd appreciate it greatly.

Which powers can you use to make sure Tornado doesn't toss mobs around all willy-nilly?

Is anyone else having a hard time logging in?

I just got back from a long hiatus and am jumping back in with my fire/fire blaster and I had a few questions.

Why doesn't anyone take Combustion? Is it just the slow animation time? And I don't see too many people with FSC but I like it (I'm more of a blapper kinda guy).

Anyway, I've never tried IOs before but a friend convinced me that they were a worthwhile investment so I was wondering what sets I should look into first?

Any help would be appreciated thanks!

Can ELM/FA out damage ELM/SD when the scrapper is completely IO'd out?

Completely IO'd out, what would be the best SS brute farmer?

I'm mainly looking at /wp and /sd but would consider others too.

Anyway, I read Plasma's awesome guide but was having some trouble with my binds.
