    Fastest STF times?

    I think one thing that slows people down in speed runs is a tank.
    All our sub 35m runs (including the 29m one) were all tankless.

    Honestly, with Illusion trolls that know what they are doing, a tank is kinda redundant on a STF.

    Last night I had a PuG'er come on a team who claimed they had just done a 20 minute STF. Of course, apparently after doing a 20 minute STF, "no one" on the team even thought about taking a screenshot.

    So I am a bit skeptical about the 22 minute masters run, I've heard about it too.
    It's just that no one seems to recall a screenshot for it or be able to point me to one.

    Fastest STF times?

    So after one week of STF's, our team hit a few new numbers;

    . Fastest time: ~29m (0 deaths) - Screenshot

    . Fastest time (with MO settings): ~38m - Screenshot

    Wondering if anyone has managed faster than this yet? Would love to know the team composition and chat about the strategy you guys followed.
    (Our runs are always with no temp powers except ATT and Jetpack)

    Our estimate is that without temp powers, our teams can 'maybe' touch 25 minutes, but most probably not lower than that. Considering we kill Recluse in about 20 seconds or so, every other AV in lesser to much lesser - not really sure where else we can cut down on time.

    Been more than 2 days since I sent in my petition; mails not back yet.
    I got a response that it was being escalated, then a request for info on the mails from a GM - but that was all 2 days ago now, no reply despite my posting requests for an update - nothing.

    Anyone else have similar issues?

    So I'm a big fan of ranged def on trolls/corrs/fenders/blaster. Every ranged toon I have has capped ranged def.

    What I am trying to figure out is, why would you not just get to capped ranged def *and* perma-PA?

    That way you can let the PA's handle reichman (or any other high end AV's for that matter) and let your range def take care of all his other cronies.

    Trying to tank from a troller this way seems, wasteful.
    If you can give me a good reason for this build, I'll have some context and probably be able to give some useful suggestions.

    Doubt if you can find a more pro build than this. I call it the super endurance/super recharge build.

    You can thank me later; I'll just be happy seeing you play this toon at 50 and pwning all others with the crappy _non_ pro builds out there!

    So thinking about this a bit and getting a really good reference build from a alliance board, I came up with this build.

    .) I have still slotted in holds in Dominate since I really want to have a really powerful hold for LGTF, Hami, STF/LRSF AV's, etc.
    .) The aim with defense is to have melee and range at the soft-cap with mind-link is not on; that way I can use mind-link when going into big battles and buff myself and team mates, otherwise I'm good with non-ML defense [I am assuming a suppressed Mask Presence ~3.7%def to all]
    .) I added in poison dart to add another DPS power; since the build is at over 200% recharge, I can afford to have a longer attack chain, having another DPS power should help my DPS to go higher than what it would have been with just Subdue->Dominate->Gloom; now I can do Subdue->TK Blast->PDart->Gloom (throw in dominate if I want to, it still has decent damage)
    .) I understand procs really add to damage, but I subscribe to the entire "not reliably - since they can waste chances on already dead enemies, misses, etc", so I am sticking to using procs ONLY when I have extra slots, which I don't have too many off :-\
    .) I have with a heavy heart let go of aid self and taken leadership instead; I may respec this later in case I find that I am needing to guzzle down greens

    Kinda silly to call the AoE damage immunity to the mines as a 'nerf'; they were not supposed to be targetable - that kinda makes it clear that they don't want players destroying them with firepower right?

    AoE attacks were, hence it was a bug - they fixed it.

    So I am a bit confused by the lack of hasten in several of the builds given here; doesn't the lack of recharge hit your DPS?

    I have 197% on my fire/rad corr and I still feel the need for more recharge - ideally, I want blaze to come up over and over and over again


    Also regarding the team buff things, I do agree with that to an extent; generally people don't care too much for PBAoE buffs and run ahead - till they are about to have a really hard AV, in which case they tend to stick around Either way, I'd like to buff people but it's not a major priority.

    Also, Dominate is the Fort's only major hold - if I slot that for damage, doesn't that mean that her hold ability is kinda, uh, gimped?

    Changed my build around based on input from you guys
    So I'm a recharge freak, so I've still tried to keep it fairly high.
    Also, tried to get melee/ranged def to stay at close to max (Ranged more importantly than Melee) even when ML isn't on, will give me a lot of flexibility with buffing the team with it rather than using it for my personal use (assuming a 3.7% buff from suppressed Mask Presence at all times).

    I am not very sure about procs; I'd like a lot of damage but it's as much of a priority on this guy as recharge - that helps both damage and holds. If could find a slot for them, I'd add the procs as suggested.


    I _really want to take leadership pool, but my pools are all used up.
    Speed: *need* it for Hasten
    TP: for stealth/tp
    Fly: For hover (my primary combat movement)
    Healing: Without Aid Self, I would be lost (didn't realize I hadn't slotted it earlier). I tend to uh, rush into stuff and run out at how hp often

    My first time with a SoA; I had a few requirements
    .) Need Hover for easy combat movement
    .) Need Stealth/TP
    .) Want to get into melee range only for very short periods of time and only when needed

    I have a decked out set of 50's and cost is no object; I don't care if the build costs 20bil, hence the large number of purples. Only thing I skipped on was a glad's armor, since I couldn't see much use for it considering the already ridiculous defense.

    Also, I slotted MindLink with Hami's to reduce it's recharge since I want to leave ML on auto and hit Hasten manually when needed.

    Since it's my first time with a SoA; I am sure this build is lacking a lot that people who actually play SoA's could tell me Also looking for Alpha slotting recommendations.

    Wow, I don't really read the boards often, but a 2 page thread on this?
    So, I do really appreciate your not revealing my name, but yeah, I was the one offering 40m/level for powerleveling.

    My reasons are quite simple, I've played _several characters up to 50; and there are many, many that I abandoned between 30-40. I have experienced almost every TF in the game, a majority of the story arcs and hundreds of other missions.

    All my actives are fully slotted up, maxed in def (ranged for squishies and all def + resist - psi for my tank). I have every item in the game I've ever wanted except the gladiator's armor, which till my latest build, I never really felt I'd get a major benefit from.


    Other than this, I regularly do about 4-6 TF's every day, and about 10+ on each weekend days along with Hami raids, MSR's etc; my collective wealth is now over 7-8billion. Other than that, I regularly lead TF's (usually half my TF's I lead), have masters badges in most of the more common ones except a MoSTF.

    To say the least, I am not exactly a 14 year old who is just so impatient to get a super powerful max level character! Have I experienced 'every' piece of content in the game? No. Do I enjoy playing the way I do? Hell yeah.


    So tell me again, what 'exactly' is wrong with me not wanting to take this new AT that I had ALREADY played to 28, gotten a good sense of, and not want to do the grind yet again to 50 - considering I had more money than I know what to do with?

    Note: This was red side - I don't have a single friend who is red side; if this was blue, this would not have even been needed.

    BTW, my builds; my Fire/Fire, Fire/Dev and Arch/MM are already at 50; I'll need to build a Fire/MM if I go that route.
    Same question - in a super tough mission, like Hamidon or Statesman's run, which of these will be the most use to the team.

    Almost all of them use GA and a few of the cheaper purples - I can afford to slot up only *one* of them, hence my indecision :-\

    I also *really* like hasten to be almost perma and would like a high slotted teleport (I

    For the right build, I am willing to invest a bit more, but I am pretty capped out at the rare IO's I've thrown into these ones.

    Any suggestions are welcome and really appreciated! I've pretty much maxed out what I can think of :-|
    Plus of course, the super important question in my mind - for super hard missions, which will be the most useful.
