I have constant flashing as soon as I turn on the game, from my login to any area in the game, its so bad i cant even play.

Im running windows 7 64 bit

I just came back after about 8 months, to try going rogue. Anyway during that time I got a new laptop, which is far better then my old PC (which played the game perfectly) But, as soon as I load up the game it is contantly flashing between the game and a black screen. It's so bad I cannot even play the game, please help.

I'm on windows 7, but I have set it to run like windows xp, and the problem is still there

How good are the ninja powers? The other booster packs had powers that were pretty useless, they were just fluff. But, if the ninja powers are almost as good as travel powers I think I'll cancel my subscription. Players who pay extra get bonus powers? That's ******** when I am already paying a monthly fee.

If the ninja pack just changed the animation of superspeed and superjump, I would be fine with that

While breathing underwater and being a good swimmer seem useless anywhere else besides an underwater zone, what if they were only the 1st two tiers of a pool power

The 3rd being a travel power that allows you to create a wave underneath your self and surf on it. (kinda like Iceman)

I would kill for a poncho costume piece.

I'll start off by saying I'm a bit of a noob. I want to play a toon with dark as a primary, I was looking at a brute or corruptor. Anyways, in both instances dark seems very under powered, compared to the other things sets I've tried.

Is dark meant to be more of a support role than a damage dealer?

Do it's powers get a lot better?

Or is it just a under powered set?

Problem = People can see me in PVP, as I understand it, this is generally bad for stalkers...

So besides hide what else should i be doing to conceal myself

Anti-Criticism

Criticism- Moves won't make contact with desired areas

Answer - When you fight half of the time your not even touching your enemy, you are standing 3 feet apart. I dont see why not making contact would be a big issue

Criticism - How can someone who learned to fight on the streets, compete with super heroes/villians?

Answer - How can a with a guy with a sword? Besides Luke Cage learned to fight on the streets, and he does fine.

I made a thread pretty much the exact same to this, on archetypes and powersets, but realized it belonged here. Dirty Fighting would be a melee powerset for brutes and scrappers, where your character does anything in his/her power to win. Your character is not above, concealing weapons, or hitting below the belt.

This is my half baked powerset for a scrappper, feel free to make some changes if you have better ideas


1. Sucker Punch - Melee Minor Damage

1. Kidney Shot - Melee Moderate Damage

2. Knee - Melee moderate Damage -foe -defence

6. Build Up

8. Headbutt - Minor Damage Stunning attack

12. Taunt

18. Character reveals a blade near his ankle and does a quick slash - Melee High Damage Cone

26. Groin Kick - Melee Superior Damage -foe -defence

32. Gun (customizable) Character reveals a small fire arm hidden in his ankle or by his side - Ranged High Damage, Foe: knockback

They should give the option for a broadsword or something to look like a knife, but i really dont see the need for an entire powerset. But, appearently my Dirty Fighting idea isn't very popular so what do i know?

When your fighting melee, 50% of the time your not even touching the guy your hitting, your standing a good 2 or 3 feet away. So I dont think it would be that big of an issue if the groin kick didnt always make contact.

I wasn't very specific, by knife in the boot I meant your character has hidden a small knife by his ankle and does a quick stab with it.

I would love a dirty fighting powerset, it would be melee for scrappers and brutes. It would kick so much ***, with head butts, groin kick, maybe a knife in the boot.

I'm just curious about these 2 primary powers, from what i can tell mind looks to much more traditional holds and stuns for a controller. Illusion seems to be the oddball power set. So could someone give some pros and cons of each, tell me how they differ etc.

Oh, and I should probably mention I really don't play PVP at all

I'm looking to make a stalker who can solo reasonable well, and contribute something in teams. (maybe I just suck, but I always find myself overshadowed in a large team when I play a stalker) I have no interest in PVP at all.

I am a very low level (only 9), but I am beginning to get concerned. When a I team with another corruptor he seems to dealing 3 times as me. Yes, I have been putting damage enhancements on. Is archery meant to be more of a support role like dark? Is it just a weaker powerset, or what?
