    Sorry, meant cavern, yes.
  2. I had never used Beast Run before this week. It seems awfully fast for low levels--does it continue to be useful? How does it compare to a "real" travel power?

I even mean Hess and the Hollows Sewer Trial

    Unlocking TFs

I always knew that you could unlock TFs like Katie Hannon through the arc, but then a player in game said that once you do the TF, it unlocks for you even if you haven't done the arc. Is this true/confirmed?

    Thanks.

It's silly. You only need as much support as you need to keep people alive, to keep the enemy debuffed, or whatever. Beyond that, heck yes you should blast! Think about it. Even if you did only a THIRD of the damage of a Scrapper, don't you think if you asked that Scrapper if he'd like to be able to do 33% more damage, he'd say "Hell yes!"?
Either I was not clear (probably) or you missed my point (maybe). I didn't say I would never blast as a defender as much as I don't care if it is an ice blast, or a sonic blast, or a ______ because no matter what I choose, there is not much difference.

No, you are right, I am not looking at the combat tab. And you are very possibly right that the numbers change a little if I am not looking at orange numbers. At the same time, if we are talking about 2 tenths of a point of orange, is there really a noticeable difference then? If I can, with 3 attacks, ALMOST get one point of orange, am I really happy with the -res? Someone else might be, but I probably don't care that much.

OK, but if I am not seeing my numbers change with -res and there is nothing I could do to increase the -res, what could I do differently?
  10. I am not seeing any link to where I can download the NCsoft Launcher for Mac. I have looked and can't seem to find it. Someone help?

I appreciate the input. I know the descriptions say things like -resist and whatnot, but never see much of this in practice. Just the other day I was on my /sonic and I was testing it. My power would hit and the next hit with the same power produced the same numbers. I did this throughout the trial and never saw any change in numbers. Is there something I am not recognizing or doing wrong?
  12. This is clearly just my opinion, but I feel when I am making a defender, it doesn't really matter what I choose for a secondary. It seems like the choice will not make or break my toon. My primary is the reason I exist as a defender and any damage I add is purely icing on the cake.

I actually feel the same about *most* blaster secondaries. I do see how the flavor of them is a bit different and can impact some, but FOR ME, the choice doesn't matter much. I won't have much issues liking the primary regardless of my secondary choice. I have some blasters (fire/fire, for example) that I use literally ZERO powers from my secondary.

    Am I the only one?

  14. Does Triumph server have set Mother Ship Raids in RWZ like other servers?
  15. Anyone know anything about Triumph, Justice, or Champion?

I was laughing when I first read this, "Long time Traps player". The reason I laughed is that my first thought was that it was a new set, how can you be a long time player. Then I thought about the one traps toon I have and she is pretty "old". Time in this game goes so fast. I still think of CoV as "new". It's crazy to me that it is so many years ago.

Isn't the benefit that you, as a defender, for example, do not have to aggro a mob to add the debuff. By being able to put it on an ally, the mob aggro doesn't happen until your ally attacks, and then the aggro still doesn't go to you. I don't think that is "no benefit".

Waiting for respecs seems to make sense. Thanks.
  20. I am wondering if people could tell me when their server has set times for MSR. I believe Liberty is Friday and Sunday at 9:30 EST. I believe Victory is Sunday at 8:00 EST.

    Where else?
  21. I haven't touched some of my character rewards yet. I am wondering what others are doing with their Enhancement Unslotters and Boosters. (Yes, I know, unslotting and boosting!). How are you making your decisions as to not waste them? That is the essense of what I am wondering.
  22. I went on an Eden run today and brought my sonic/rad defender. They said we would go fast because they had 2 Time corrs (which I will admit are good). Then the guy says, "Oh and we have a kin, too." I mentioned that I was a sonic so I could contribute to the debuff, to which I got a "Sonic? Meh" and that attitude prevailed throughout the trial.

I understand why some people think sonic (and bubbles, too) need an overhaul, but they are hardly useless, but on my team of 8, I seemed to be the only one who thought that.

Speaking of Street Justice, what do we know about it? I haven't seen any official information (did I miss it?). Everyone seems really excited, but what can anyone tell me?

The dots have to do with server load and not how many people are on (so there is a relationship, but it is not as simple as red is a lot, and green in none). So in that sense, you were not tricked, but perhaps misunderstand server load. At least that is what I have been told over the years.
