  1. I have kind of ignored First Ward (well, actually, praetoria for the most part). I have done the new GM event, but that is it in the First Ward.

Now I am thinking I should jump in and at least know what everyone else is experiencing. Is there anyone willing to give me a few quick pointers?

Here are a few things that would help:
    1) Remind me how to get there.
    2) Who are the contacts and where do I find them?
    3) What lvl is it for?
    4) Anything else that isn't intuitive?

    Thanks in advance.

Ran your mission with my level 50 incarnated scrapper, so Savoy was not too tough.

Enjoyed the look of the custom enemies, would like a bit more backstory (for example, upon finding the book), and I'd recommend giving a background description to the contact as well.

Again, thought the enemies looked great , good dialogue, the mission elements went off well.

I think in my comments to you, I suggested you run arc #144416, Shadow of Grime Alley, and send feedback.

If you like that one, my favorite is 200411, Exploding Planet. But full-disclosure, the planet often explodes in the final mission.

    Best regards,
FF--your arc is on my desk at home to play. I just haven't been on much. It is coming!

    THIS!

I only have a few toons with purples and not because I can't afford it. I would rather have defense on so many toons than the bonuses I get from purples. I tend to stick purples in my blasters or my trollers, but hardly at all in my tanks/brutes/scrappers.
  4. Thanks all. I will take the advice, dive into the story a bit, and go from there.
  5. I haven't actually tried him on a "squishie", I would imagine he is hard unless you had something like [force of nature]

    Great!
  7. I have written two arcs in AE and they are not farms. I think they are good, albeit short arcs. One is not available, but one, if I understand it right, just needs 2 players to do the arc so I can get a badge. Would there be two of you willing to try #138891? I would like the badge, but would also love any feedback. It takes about 10 minutes, so it's short.

I'd be happy to run your arc if you do mine.

    Thanks in advance.

Can someone confirm that Rogue and Vigs cannot get them? I assume they cannot, but just wondering if there is confirmation.

And there's SO MUCH 20-30 stuff now that it's impossible to do it all. Which is fine. But then you get to 30, and suddenly there's next to nothing.

At 20-30 there's, and I'm probably missing some:
    - 5 original story arcs/ sets of contact missions (Not sure if they're all proper arcs, ages since I've done the original stuff).
    - 4 arcs in Striga
    - 2 arcs in Croatoa
    - 2 arcs in Faultline
    - One signature arc.
    - Seven or eight arcs in First Ward
    - 2 doppelganger arcs (The ones in Talos)
    - Roy Cooling's arc
For a total of 20 or so arcs in a ten level range. That's two arcs a level, which I suppose is doable if you solo all the time and stealth through anything that can be stealthed. And then you get to 30, and there's next to nothing. There's the five original contacts, the tail end of Croatoa, and the start of the Rikti Warzone. And that's it.

In short: Lower ranges have enough content, more 30-50 content please.
I will agree and disagree with you. If any more content is added, I would love to see the 30-45 range get it. There is less (or, at least, it seems like less). At the same time, since I can exemp and do nearly all of what you just listed, I don't feel like it is much of a detriment. I'd love to see more 30-45 TFs, though. I do find that once I hit 35, I tend to always do an ITF or 10 to get my levels, even though there are other options.
  10. Exactly. There is always something that you haven't done for a while.
  11. I was reflecting last night on how many options we now have while playing CoX. This is NOT a complaint. I love it. It's very hard to get bored because when I am bored of one thing, I just move onto something completely different. The only difficulty is that I have to be careful not to outlevel too much. I know I can ouros important arcs (like ones that open up TFs like Hess or Katie Hannon), but I don't enjoy those arcs so I prefer not to exemp down to do them.

I figure when I am on a toon, I have all the new low level arcs, the new (and new-ish) itrials, the new sig arcs, mothership raids, regular story arcs, any AE stories (not farms), newspaper missions, alignment missions, new Monster to fight (besides all of the old ones), SST means you can do almost anything with your friends, there's PVP (OK, yes, that was a joke), but when you are tired of all that, there are a myriad of TFs (how often do you get around to the Cavern Trial..?).

    Just my two cents.

    4) Chill.
    THIS!

The arc is so short, it's not that big of a deal that people might do it without knowing.

The fact that one has to reinforce, well you don't have to like it, but it does have a plan and some sense. Just as you are not given the hero power just for creating a hero [call to justice], you have to reinforce before you get it. It is the same with this. I don't see this as a big deal.

That *is* what I was asking. Thank God! My fingers are safe. I haven't been sleeping! : )
  14. I am playing Street Justice/EA Brute. I think I will skip Hasten until later, but maybe not altogether.
  15. I see the recharge bonuses with Energy Aura now. Is it ok to skip Hasten? Will I still be ok?
  16. Blue--I agree that the new trial for lowbies is great xp, but I was actually asking if perhaps you need less xp to lvl or maybe get more xp these days. Something feels particularly easy now. I used to have a bunch of toons stuck in their teens (yes, I alt a lot), but now I don't even seem to see the teens--even when I don't use the trial.
  17. Did they make it easier to lvl and I missed it? I do mean RECENTLY, too. (I know they leveled it out a while back). I have created 3 new toons recently and am shocked to get to my 20s with NO PROBLEM or time really.

    Bombs on MSR

Oh! A glowie. See, I never knew that part. Thanks both of you.

    Bombs on MSR

I have done a couple of dozen raids, but simply as a follow the leader toon. I follow everyone and kill. I haven't figured out the bomb part, yet. I often hear, "all teams set a bomb". How do we do it? Where are the bombs? Where do I get one? How and where do I set one? (I know we blast each grate, or something).

In addition, I have heard about setting a new bomb mid-way. Is this to extend the raid with shields down?

    Thanks for any help.

I said defense because it would keep my -tohit toggle from ever being interrupted. Maybe I am seeing this wrong.

So I just need to start hitting the trials with her and I'll be on my way? Cool.
  22. LOL. I appreciate the response, but my dark/ must not be cool at all because perma haster wouldn't solve my problem. Maybe you gave me one piece of the puzzle...I feel like Sherlock Holmes now!
  23. I have to admit I have one dark/rad fender at 50 (and a dark/ice corr at 25ish), so I don't have a ton of experience. My fender hit 50 maybe in i6? At that point, I left her to sit mostly (she is alpha unlocked with no slotting). But here on the forums I have been reading about people saying their dark/ can do +2/8 solo and mine doesn't seem to be able to much of that kind of thing.

Is there a trick to making your dark/ super uber? How are people getting such great performance? I know I need to IO out my fender for at least some good range defense, but my damage doesn't seem to be that great.

I should say one last thing, I don't think I have even tried a fender solo since they buffed the damage when soloing, so is that it?

    Thanks for any insight.
