    The difference is that in FF, it was very likely your animation would be used (and by many). In COH, more likely than not, no one but you will see the animation, as its probably not going to be put into the game.
  2. Is it a bug that there is only one type of trenchcoat (leather)? Or am i just missing something. I was thinking of getting a trenchcoat, but no way would it be leather.

  4. The thing that disappointed me most about the trailer was when the truck blew up next to 2 civilians. Not only did they not got blown up, or blown away, they both were relativley calm about it.

    If i blow up a truck (or dumpster) next to a civilian, i want to see them get knocked by the blast. And possible die.
  5. Right. What some may not realize, is that saying "I hate you" can be taken wrong, even when the artist in question knows that the other doesn't really hate them.

    Is the person jealous of the artists talent, or the years of work in developing the talent? The artist may take it to be the former, while the person may mean the latter (or both).

    And as being born with a gift is nothing to be proud about (imho), the artist may view this as shallow, even demeaning praise. hereas the person saying it may not realize the negative implication it may have.

    (edit: Its especially easy for the artist to take it wrong when the quote mentions talent, which i forgot while writing this reply).
  6. I just wanted to express my disapproval with the level 8 power sound. This sounds a bit like a train, and it trails on for quite a bit. Its annoying to start off with, but then i realize that it lasts so long, i'm effectively making 2 sounds at once when i switch to another power. Do i have to voice boxes? Could we shorten the length of the level 8 power? Or make it so our sounds don't overlap each other?
  7. Bah, capes shouldn't have to be earned. It shouldn't be a 'prove you are uber' type game.

    One of the trickinesses of having a largely "loot free" game is trying to make rewards interesting for such things

    As fun as this game, it is just a one dimensional game. And xp/levels is that dimension. The simplicity is also a drawback it seems.

    However, if you want rewards, i would say temporary powers. That will bring people out in droves. It makes the fights easier, thereby lowering the risk/reward ratio and then you'll have people visiting those zones.

  10. One of the recent scientific americans had a bit about the six degrees idea that works right in with this. Like and phrase can be manipulated concept by concept to fit another in 4 links or less.

    Note, this isn't friends to friends, but concepts to concepts, so it can be much more liberal in its linkage.
