And I said nothing about gearing everything to level 50s. I said that the tech exists to make the same content usable by characters of all levels, so they should make use of it.

And there is no rule that says people who don't like something have to shut up either. If it's a voting thing, then we all get to have the same vote. Something that benefits more players is better. Remember, we are talking about something that will cost people real money in the future.

I do. I played the sig arcs on a 22 hero and a 24 villain (so as not to lose anything). I will likely not play them on any higher characters. It is still feedback to point out that by requiring such drastic exemplaring, the content they are producing is of limited value to me, a paying customer.

That is a relatively recent development. I agree that incarnate powers are a problem, but the same could be said of level 40 as of level 20 - 40 is just better.
-
Then call it level 20 if you want, but still give me all the powers and options I have gained that make the game more enjoyable. It's not the number slapped on the character that matters so much as it is what you can do with them - and a level 20 character has a lot less they can do than a level 50.
-
No, but I also didn't gain those last 30 levels in order to not be allowed to use them. I have never had a character that was more fun at 20 than at 50, so any time I'm reduced, the game is intrinsically less fun.

I was just talking about the mission up until that point - "Quick! We're getting attacked by ineffectual rocks - run thatta way!" You're about as heroic as Suzie the secretary, except you beat up 5 things before running. Epic heroism there.
-
I have a fire/fire blaster that was created during the first week this game existed and is my second oldest character that hasn't been deleted or remade by this point. She's level 24.

My 22 stone/stone tank couldn't kill the ambushes on the signature fast enough and I ended up having to purple it and rely on luck to get through a glowie with 4-8 things pounding on me, so I learned pretty early that these aren't missions for anything squishier than that or with low damage.
Those are missions designed for level 50s that they subtracted 30 from for no good reason. -
I went to dragoncon this month and paid $50 for a leatherbound comic book. I also paid (several times) $10 for a mai tai in a plastic cup. The stupid prices you will pay on vacation at a special event don't translate well to what you will do while at home and mostly sober.

Quote:Yes, we have been put in the same conceptual demographic hole as purchasers of the flowbie and the slapchop. In other words, "But if we threaten to remove this option from the store for the long term, THEN how much would you pay?"
"For a limited time only, you get it at this special sale price!!!"
Here's an idea. I'll pay 400 points for someone to slap whoever wrote Ghost Falcon's post. -
You'll never be more than +1 in Pocket D. For the boost the OP is talking about, you have to be on an active trial.

Quote:I assume he's talking about auras not being included with the other costume pieces in the costume packs - and there being no way to determine this in the store before making the purchase.Um..what? Breaking the backs down and you dont get the bit you wanted? Not sure which bit or pack you are talking about..but I wanted the mystic fortune and sec mutation powers..and got them, without all the other junk I wont use. That sounds very much like..getting the 'thing' you want to me.

The contact alert thingie appeared for a new character when I went from 9 to 10, so I'm guessing 10.

So, I get that after a month there will be another one, but will you still be able to do this one.
It would be nice to wait and play it all boxed DVD set style instead of having it stretched over a half year until I stop giving a crap what's going on. -
Well, recharge doesn't work on pets, but it will work for hell on earth, so it's not like you are getting zero bonus from that 9th power.
Also, I'm pretty sure temporal selection does not add +heal. It just has a special connection with the other time heal powers so you get healed for more if you have the accelerated buff running, but it doesn't spread to any other heal powers outside of time. -
Quote:Right, so a strong secondary can compensate for a weak primary. That doesn't mean a bots/storm wouldn't be that much better.Anecdotal evidence is anecdotal. My mercs/storm takes +2/x2 at level 39 with no issues: I think they issue may be /pain in your case, though: I've tried many /pain MMs and they run almost as bad as the old /poison... there's just not enough damage mitigation (as opposed to +res in /therm, -toHit in /dark and /storm, etc)
-
Quote:Yes. It should appear immediately after "Pirate Costume Power for 600 Paragon Points! "yes, yes I did. I see only words. Is there supposed to be an image or something?
Is that what you're implying?
It's being hosted on photobucket (why, when you have your own forums), so if you have that blocked for whatever reason, you won't see it. -

And in the Christopher Eccleston season credits, unfortunately.

In my experience, yes. It may be down to secondary, but at least you can play ninja by leaving numbers at X1 and increasing difficulty. My ninja/therm has had no trouble moving along at a decent pace, even though he's only at 40 running on SOs except for the 1 pet special I have. My merc/pain is still painful to play at 50 with a billion inf sunk into her. She can't take numbers because they have no survivability and can't take hard targets because of the anemic st damage and useless control.
Maybe some secondaries work and maybe tankerminding does, but the experience was so different from my bot/ff and DS/pre-buff poison that it's like night and day. Just to repeat that last part differently, even with a good secondary they are harder to play than mixed melee pets with pre-buff poison as a secondary. -
Reading that again, it looks like they might give all points on the 1st, then ... no, that still doesn't make sense. Someone needs to explain this better if it's not the simple, obvious "you get points on your renewal day" that we assumed it would be.
