it's just double damage when a stalker crits from hide. Unresisted means you do the same damage, regardless of the target's damage resistance. AS is unresisted, as is 30% of blaster damage, and scrapper crits.

I read somewhere on the forums that unresistable damage was given to Blasters because that's all they do - deal damage. Since other AT's had some kind of way to deal with incoming damage (def, res, debuffs, buffs, etc...) Blasters had no place on a PvP team.
[/ QUOTE ]
Well, all AT's are supposed to be fully effective when mixed with other AT's. support toons don't do damage or have defense, they do their work through classes that do. Defense based toons get their damage from support, Damage based get their defense from support, melee have support debuff the opponent to keep them still, etc. The balance for blasters getting through defense should be teaming with debuffers and the balance for their own lack of defense should be buffers, not unresistable damage. In a nutshell, the other AT's still need teammates to be fully effective, but for some reason, blasters and stalkers got a free pass out of that basic tenent of CoX in pvp. -

If they had complete resistable damage, for one, one team could load up on Sonics and give each person on the team an insane amount of resists, and scores would literally be 0-0 or 1-0, 2-1, etc.

first off... yeah, if you had a full team buffing, it would be great, just like any full team doing anything. It's common practice to have dmg res debuff in team pvp, that's what it's for.
unresistable damage turns noobs off to pvp because they don't understand why their defenses don't work, and I can't blame them. -
the ability to toggle between two different builds so you can pvp without gimping your ability to play with your buds in pve.
I think unresistable is good for scrapper crits because it happens such a small % of the time. For AS, it makes sense but the level is too high. For blasters, I just don't get it. They rule in damage anyway, why do they need 30% unresistable damage? I just can't figure it out. -

One thing with the inherent is no bonus grouping with other khelds. Easy way is make Dwarf = tanker, nova = blaster, human = controller for bonuses when balance checks ever 10 seconds, or can create new ones for them.

Damn, that's a great idea. Wish I had though of it -
Attention these warnings are annoying in Steel Canyon. Please be advised this is really not getting any more tolerable!!!
Attention I really can't handle these warnings anymore in Cap Au Diable. Non-Combatants are warned not to login or they won't be able to read any chat!!!
Attention, how did this spam fest make it past the test-server bet nazis in Grandville?! You are advised to please find some way to turn these off or I will be forced to go insane!!!
Attention, are you starting to get the idea in Steel Canyon?! There's only so many of these you really need to see? At the very least roll all the current attack zones into one message that only goes once every 10 minutes or something. I really can't stand it!!! -

I'm sorry but I just can't fathom why people are complaining that our new auction system will work like an actual auction does.
It's not designed for you to transfer stuff between your alts.
If you use it for such, your doing so at your own risk.
[/ QUOTE ]
First of all, that isn't our only concern. I don't much care about transferring between alts. I will continue to do that the way I always have. A more general concern is that WW's will not faciltate the circulation of items in a fair manner.
Specifically, those who want to sell their items for a fair price will be easily undercut by those who reduce their price. Now, in direct trade, this will would be naturally balanced because the seller would only receive the paltry sum he offered it for. But, in this system, they are rewarded with the highest bid! It is madness.
Second, it does not work like an auction. In an auction, multiple buyers compete for a certain SPECIFIC item. You don't bid on a type of car in an auction. You bid on a specific, individual car in an auction. There aren't multiple sellers because there is only one item. Likewise, there are no such things as buy orders because there is only one item.
In this case, there are multiple buyers and sellers and you bid on a "class" of item. Meaning, the listing is for a "lvl 50 health SO", not "Mr. Jones' lvl 50 health SO". This is a subtle but important distinction. For one thing, this means that there aren't multiple bids which drive the price up on that specific offering by Mr. Jones. I don't think it is necessarily a bad thing that this isn't an auction. In fact, I think it is much better in my personal opinion. Whether you agree or not about which is better, the fact remains, WW's is NOT an auction. A consignment system is a better description.
The fact that people are not allowed to purchase specific offers or sell to specific buy orders in the WW system is what complicates this issue. For whatever reason, the devs are blurring the lines by taking elements of "blind auctions" and inserting them into the consignment system to create WW's. I can't think of one issue with direct purchase consignment trading that the proposed WW system fixes. The only one it seems to even address, not fix, is the inf transfer system but that's like paving your garden to get rid of weeds. If that is their only concern with a direct trade system then they should address that problem directly by disallowing trades between characters on the same account. -

Software to match the lowest order to the lowest offer is not a bad idea
[/ QUOTE ]
I suspect that's the way it'll work. Otherwise, no lower level folk will have the slightest chance at all of getting that rare piece of salvage or IO they need because of the multitude of 50s out there constantly putting up Buy Orders with extravagant prices.
[/ QUOTE ]
Except Posi already said that wasn't the way it currently works. I agree that matching the prices makes way more sense, but that does not increase its likelihood of getting implemented. -
Transfering aside, I think that the method of going to the lowest offer is not a good idea. The purpose of the blind auction is to maximize the benefit to everyone involved. People end up buying things for what it is worth to them. The way it is supposed to work, however, in the case of multiple suppliers, is that you end up paying what is closest to your offer without going over. It isn't to give undeserved profit to someone who undervalues their selling item. In the science of Supply Chains, people bid what things are worth and they offer prices of the perceived value and are rewarded for this, not punished for it.

It may seem off topic, but bear with me. I think suppression is worse now with the new changes.
I love the changes to the claws attacks but the constant stream of attacking guarantees that I never go anywhere in PvP. Can we lose travel power suppression now? Its worse now than ever and sets based on more, faster attacks are penalized more heavily than those based on burst damage
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
10 points for attempting to make this NOT a threadjack, -2billion points in that it still IS a threadjack. Slot up swift and quit trying to use your travel powers in combat.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, sorry. I don't know how to express it without jacking the thread but I think its now a bigger problem for claws because they are at their best when they have a solid attack chain now. I was able to bear with it when I basically had a two power attack chain (focus+eviscerate) in pvp. Now, I have to move like molasses constantly.
And just because I don't use travel powers when I attack doesn't mean that the blaster/corrupter I'm trying to catch won't. -

Finally, Yay!!!! too bad I'm at work!

Can we just get a full accuracy equation please? ... or a link to the post if it is already there.

What about the SSOCHS or whatever... the "crafting" system. Will that make its appearance in issue 4 or after?

I agree this game rawks!!! Its my favorite thing to do these days. I am neglecting all other games big time.
I tried WoW and came back to this within 36 hours. And I REALLY wanted to like that game because I am a big blizzard fan. You guys are pros and made a fantastic product and just keep on improving it.
I think you should take all this criticism as a compliment. People only complain so strongly when they really care about something.
