Yes. I would like shoulder/forearm firing options and more choices for rifles. Very good suggestions. :-)

Quote:Hiya. Welcome back. Thanks for all the posts!
Fitness I see was removed from the game, that's a curious change.
Actually, Fitness was changed into Inherent powers. Your older toons that have the Fitness Pool can respec out of that pool and take different powers. If you respec out of Fitness your toons will get Fitness as Inherent Powers. You do not have to respec out of Fitness if you don't want to; the advantages may outweigh the disadvantages for respeccing though. YMMV.

I have read that you can find Proc info in your Healing Applied Chatlog. Edit your Pet Tab to display Healing Applied and it should show when a Proc has been fired. Hope this is correct. :-)

Quote:Hiya, yes, there are more control buttons you can put into your powers trays to help command your Henchmen. To get these buttons you need to go into your Menu-Options-General(Tab)-Pets-Advanced Pet Commands-Enable/Disable.I didn't quite understand this. Are you saying there are more advanced controls for managing MM Pets? I just use the ones in the tray>
When you toggle Advance Pet Commands to Enable and summon your henchmen the command buttons displayed in the Pet Pannel will have changed. Instead of the 3 buttons you start with in your powers tray, you will see two buttons.
The first button will probably be a red colored button with a yellow stirke of explosion symbol which will display the tooltip Aggressive when hovered over.
The second button will be a Silver and Gold Arrow pointing right that will display the tool tip Follow when hovered over.
Both of these buttons can be clicked on to provide even more buttons.
All of these buttons can be dragged to your powers trays by Menu-Options-General(Tab)-Miscellaneous-Lock Powers in Tray-Enable/Disable.
The most important button is from the first Advanced Control and is called Defensive. It is a blue button with a yellow shield symbol. This button puts all henchmen into Defensive mode which is the unbelievably useful and important "Body Guard Mode" which makes your henchmen and you share and distribute incomming damage with you.
Another helpful button you can drag to your powers trays comes from the Follow Button drop down. This button is the GoTo Button, it is silver colored and has a swirly pattern to it.
The GoTo Button when clicked on will create a summoning circle similar to the ones you get when you summon your pets. You can then hover this circle over your screen to a spot you choose then click on that and your pets will GO TO that spot(they may not stay, but there is another button for that). The real help this 'GoTO' Button provides is for map travel with your pets. If you have your pets follow you almost invariably they fall behind you in some way or another. If you right click on one of your pets and click Follow so that YOU are Following your pet, you can use the 'GoTo' Button to direct yourself and your pets to all move together at the same speed and 'mostly' not have them fall behind while you wait for them to catch up.
I hope this helps.
Yours,
Red
Edit: Slow typing, ftl. Still, I hope this helps. -
I like it all. Resonable enough that it could be made into the current game. Good thinking Claws. I like the name too, but maybe that should be for a new Purple TAoE set
Perhaps Exterminate...then we could have Extermination, Annihilation and Destruction...XD

I agree with the OP, we need recipe storage units for our bases and improved storage capacity from our existing storage solutions. I recommend a wall mounted ATM looking thing or CAD Printer-like thingy for TECH bases, and a Scroll rack or Scrying Pool for Arcane bases.
Would this affect the market? Things are selling for INF cap. The MARKET cannot get worse than that. It just can't. You can't offer more than INF cap and you cannot pick up more than INF cap. So, it is already as bad as it can get. Would it become like that even for the less desireable stuff too? Doubtful, because who really wants that junk? --Well then everyone will just trade off market for HUGE INFS over multiple transactions(payment plan?) then and nothing will be sold on market--Yeah, until someone finishes a mission and needs to dump their stuffz quick-like. Or, someone with a kind soul could offer something for less than INF Cap(O.O!).--Yeah, yeah, I know it's the buyer who purchases for that amount. Whatever.
With the numbers Forbin pointed out(and I nearly always have agreed with you Forbin, but this time...), you think there isn't hoarding going on already? How would adding recipe storage make that any worse? The market already is dealing with having nothing available, then getting some available, then having nothing available again. It goes on constantly.
Why I want recipe storage is for CONVENIENCE. I want to be able to set a supply of recipes for my current alt going for their crafting badges to access when I log them in. Yes, I know that mailing helps with that but 20 at a time, while necessary for RMT limiting purposes, wiffles. And logging and re-logging and re-logging ad nauseum is tiresome and wasteful of my gaming time. Then you reach a daily mail limit, again a RMT limiting thingy, and your efficiency goes right out the door. Also, if your current toon is loaded up you could dump into a base recipe storage for later crafting and get to the next mish on the fly(or the jump,tp, or super speed) and not get slowed down so badly trying to balance your inventory. This is very important to working well while on teams, so you don't slow the team down.
Other people's game time is important too(to me anyway), it's difficult to deal with the slow down involved with crafting and storing rewards while part of a team, and I find, more often than not, that I have to delete a recipe or other reward in order to open space for more. I should not have to delete a reward because I can't carry enough or store enough without stopping to craft even shuffling through all my current options. I would not have to if I could hit my base between mishes and drop the recipes into storage for later crafting. It would also be helpful between alts in your SG and between SG mates who might be working on their crafting badges or IO'n out their enhancement slots. If you crafted the recipe then your alt or SG mate wouldn't be able to use that to get progress for their crafting badges. See, it's a CONVENIENCE and a helpful courtesy amongst SG mates.
tl;dr= I would also like recipe storage solutions for our bases, for CONVENIENCE, please.
Thank you,

Quote:I can understand your feelings. I had the same feelings when they announced Daniel Craig as James Bond. What cured me of my ill feelings was finding a movie he had been amazing in, LAYER CAKE. That movie changed my attitude toward him and allowed me to accept him as the new James Bond, before seeing his awesome performance as James Bond. He's one of those actors I can't stand. Almost made Inception unwatchable for me.
Curing your feelings toward Joseph should only require you give one of his best movies a chance, THE LOOKOUT. Joseph was superb in this intriguing film, give it a view.
I actually like Joseph though, I have always cared for him as I see him as an everyman and find a connection with him through that. -
I can log in but all the servers are greyed out. I have heard that that means the Devs are testing their patch on the live servers...O.O! I'd love to get in there and game with them.

[QUOTE=Wayfarer;3440636]Because if you were to design a robot to play the ultimate villain in someone's high priced Wild West fantasy vacation you'd be sure to give him a British accent.
Er...correct me if I'm wrong, but the Gunslinger never actually spoke did he? And, even if he did, didn't Yul have an accent? O.O -

Jason Statham in the Yul Brenner role...he's already mostly bald.

Also, you should open your mini-map and select options. Then put a dot on the option Lounges. That will put an indicator on your mini-map of where the entrance to the Studio 55 Lounge portal is.

As for my question, I'm curious about Blue Steel's Praetorian counterpart. Does he not have one? Was he accidently overlooked? Is he dead?
<.< , >.>
Isn't Noble Savage the Praetorian Blue Steel? -
Try a Corruptor. The damage scale they do will make the pistols useful and they get Scourge. They're weakness comes from mezzes which they have no work-around for like Blasters get, i.e. Tier 1 and Tier 2 Primary Powers and Tier 1 Secondary Powers are still useable while mezzed for them. Corruptors don't get that, so carry LOTS of Break-frees. I enjoy this AT Combo and you will too. Happy gaming :-)

Quote:HiyaOK, skimmed through the whole thread and don't think I saw this expressly addressed: can Vigilante/Rogue collect teleport beacons on both "sides?"
Yes, Vigilantes and Rogues can collect the Teleporter Beacons for each zone. BUT, Teleporters for a Hero SG can only have Beacons to Hero Zones, AND Teleporters for a Villain SG can only have Beacons to Villain Zones, WITH the exceptions of the Rikti War Zone and Pocket D, since they are Co-Operative zones. Now, there are some awesomely glitched SG/VG's out there that have glitched base rules that glitchily allow them to glitch the Beacons of the opposite side into their glitchy base Teleporters. But, in case you missed it, this is a glitch, and is not working as intended. Will, at some point, the Devs make it so we can have Beacons to both sides? Perhaps. ::shrug:: Good luck with your base creations.

Quote:lol, had me laughing, i love General Aarons, he's the Chestie Puller of CoH. Para-phrasin' "They got us surrounded again. The poor bastiges. That'll make it easier to find them and kill them."But i thought the game had established that Aarons will almost always find a way to get himself defeated in any potentially hostile environment. This "fix" contradicts de facto canon.
"One of the base's power cores is unstable!"
"Which one?!"
"We're not sure, the fluctuations in the power grid just appeared!"
"General Aarons has drawn his pistol. Follow him!"
"And tell the hospital to prepare to treat the General. Again."
General Aarons is sort of like a suicidal canary. -

Quote:I agree. I was just soft-selling to certain, reluctant and overly-stingy types, who may or may not read this and may or may not(as has been the case for far too long) do something postive and useful with the idea of improving Targetting Drone and/or /Devices as a whole. You know, if they ever get the time.
Samuel Tow [Snip](Good Stuff Good Stuff) [/Snip]
As far as I'm concerned, JUST a flat damage buff if respectable quantity in Targeting Drone has the potential to not only vastly improve the power, but make Devices not suck, to boot. And this is coming from someone which a 50 Devices Blaster, so I'm not speaking theoretically. -
Quote:We are of the same mind about this. Here's to hope springing eternal.I always thought that Cloaking Device and Smoke Grenade were both junk powers that never gave me a compelling reason to take them (and I still took them anyway
), so any improvement to either would be very welcome.
Personally, I wish Cloaking Device either cost less or did more. Or both. I'm still in favour of adding stealth strikes when cloaked, even if they're not for double damage, just because it would make the cloak ever so slightly more useful. -
Quote:Defiance D e f i a n c e Defiance tyWhy the bloody hell would Targeting Drone offer defence? And why do you keep insisting on 5% defence for everything you suggest when that's so out of scale with what Blasters power do?
Targeting Drone is probably the best power in Devices. No, it's not Build Up, but it's still very strong. I do agree that it could do with a constant damage buff on top of its to-hit buff, though. Trading burst damage for a constant damage increase, as it were. -
Quote:Is there some kind of unwritten limit as to how many suggestions a player/account can make? I am making suggestions. Each one I have thought of over time, but Seebs ' desire to make a /Devices Guide has encouraged me to finally post my ideas. After five years I have finally found something I want to say. I have suggestions I would like discussion of and perhaps action for. I don't belive that my suggestions or the way I am proposing my suggestions could be offensive nor deleterious to this thread, nor is that my intended affect. Please ask a mod to condense these threads before you get smacked for this.
I have always liked /Devices. I would like to see it improved, either individually or as a whole. Breaking down the discussion of /Devices powers into individual components allows for concise judgements on the merits of each suggestion for each power, keeping it simple and readable allows for greater focus. -
Quote:Each power deserves it's own discussion. And I did not want to create an unreadable wall of text which would subsequently be ignored due to TL;DR-Syndrome.I like it how it is.
And shouldn't you just make a thread about upgrading the devices set as a whole as opposed to making individual threads for each power?
Also, taken individually, there may be a better chance for improvement on a per-power basis than stating, /Devices needs some love. Because, /Devices need some love, and at this point, even individual love is an improvement over NO LOVE. -
Quote:Each power in the /Devices deserves it's own discussion thread. Also, this segmenting prevents the TL;DR wall of text from occurring. I want my suggestions to be discussed, not ignored. It is well beyond time that, improvements, to each power in /Devices, be discussed and hopefully, Devs Willing, be made. So, 3 threads that all have to do with a power in devices. Maybe you can get a mod to move them together. That is how they belong. Also, the damage from putting a targeted aoe set in caltrops wouldn't raise the damage enough to even worry about it.
And providing access to additional IO Sets can help the power be more useful for Builds. If the IO Set does not make Caltrops Over-Powered, then, it should not have been removed. The removal of capability is detrimental to creativity and utility. -
Quote:Ok then, but, why does the Master Mind's Web Grenade have a 70ft. range? Like powers should have like abilities. The 50ft. range for Immobilizations is not very good in practice. It should be improved. Immobilizing the target directly just as it gets directly in your face is counter-intuitive. ALSO, most other blaster Immoblization Powers do DAMAGE to your target. Web Grenade does not cause damage. This is another reason why the /Devices Secondary Power Set is frowned upon publicly. The lack of damage, alone, is enough impetus to allow the power to have an improved range. Again, I warn YOU(and you know who you are) that normalizing to 50ft. is bad for your Karma...O.O-->Bad Karma looking right at you...50ft range is standard for all Blaster single target immobilizes despite that fact that the controller equivilents have 80ft range. Personally I think it's fine. I wouldn't object to 80ft range for all of them mind you but I think the shorter range is useful for balance. The shorter range encourages blasters to use them as immobilizes rather than attacks (obviously this is aimed at the ones from other sets).
No argument from me regarding slow IO sets.
