I posted this in the defender thread as well. Any thoughts on the idea?
I tell you what would be amazing. Add a power called Empty Quiver that become available once you hit level 8 or so that essentially unloads all your target style debuffs at the same time. So say for example that Glue Arrow, Poison Gas Arrow and Flash Arrow were charged and you click Empty Quiver and it makes all 3 powers activate at the same time. The tech exists with DP select ammo to have more power icons appear with just one power choice. It would also give Trick Arrow something no other set has. This power would also alleviate complaints that Trick Arrow has to spend more time to accomplish what other sets do with less powers and give players more options. -

Can't we simply add an additional pseudopet to ice slick that would do a short duration hold, something like 5 seconds. Enough to break an initial alpha without breaking the game. Add a chance to hold to shiver and Ice control becomes the controller/Dom king of holds.

I've got a tribuild SOA, first build is Bane, second is Crab with pets and tons of range aoe, third is a melee oriented tank style build. I just thought Bane of Pain was to good to pass up.
My other SOA, Whyte Spyder, is just a duel build. Don't care for the name as much but love the character. -
I've found my Plant/Psi Permadom can handle most mob types at +4/8 as long as domination is up. Doesn't really matter, since I can confuse all bosses with a single application of Seeds. I will say that it's like playing tennis on a razor. Look the wrong way and you are bleeding out. An outlier really though, most of my other IOd guys will struggle though +4/8 with heavy inspiration chugging.

I'd suggest Plant/Psi or Plant/Fire. May want to give plant a go again. It is one of my favorite control sets in the game.
When Domination is up, or you have a permadom, Seeds of Confusion is a thing of beauty. It recharges quickly, increases kill speed dramatically and makes fighting most groups of enemies very safe.
Put it with Drain Psyche in Psi and you are a killing machine. Fire of course is the damage king, but there is something to be said for survivability.
Plant also has a sleep along with the confuse, spot for healing, and assorted other places for incredibly easy to aquire high recharge sets if you plan on getting an IO build together. Mind has two sleeps and two confuse powers of course, so is even easier. You get Seeds of Confusion at level 8 on a plant dom, which is arguably better than Minds level 32 if you dont mind eating a little aggro. -
Stone is pretty beastly on the old blue bar.

Why not do go both routes? Make a solo and team build. The team build could drop AS. I've never had an issue using it on teams, but I do roll only defense builds on my Stalkers. I'd suggest the only set that you shouldn't drop if for would be Elec since it is lacking in strong single target attacks.

I have a Ninja/Traps, once I got the S/L shield from my Epic and Provoke, it was smooth sailing. A lot of fun, and Oni can really dish out the AOE, much more than I expected. Of course traps can make any of the pets sets awesome though.

I have a Plant/Psi/FIre (well second is Plant/Fire/Ice) on Virtue and have just a few comments The new signature story arc is a pseudo-tf that brings you down to 20. I'm thinking most of the arc is going to be sub-50 and therefore lacking in a lot of powers. I'd rething completely cutting Psi Scream completely out unless you have another build for low level play. If it's a set mule, the Targeted AOE can go into Fireball or Rain of Fire if you don't have them there already. I've got about 143% recharge on mine before hasten even kicks in and Spiritual T4. Of course, it was more about seeing how over the top I could go on recharge.
Plant is a bit different since I have to align myself for Seeds of Confusion and can immediately follow with Psi Scream before rushing in to Drain Psyche and PSW. Psi Scream still does a good chunk of damage but I'd say remove it if you don't like it or it goes against the "center of the mobs" play style that /Psi really pulls off like no other. -
I would kill for a power that summons 4 clones of yourself that all hit the target with Knockout Blow at the same time. Perhaps this powerset will be similar to Storm, in that it will have straight up damage attacks at the end of the power set.
Also, one power called 88Mph that leaves a two fire trails behind and is an AOE attack like Shield Charge. -
Thought Planter is a plant/psi dom on Virtue, definately one of my favorite characters and names.
Down Right Fierce is a SS/Fire brute also on Virtue. Couldn't resist having a flaming uppercut.
Bane of Pain, which started as more of a Crab build, eventually became worth the name.
Last but not least from my Triumph days is Frosted O's a Ice/Emp troller that couldn't solo a mission to save his life but was one of my very first characters. -
I noticed you like to do TFs. Might I recommend an Ice/Kin corruptor. It's one of the few sets that can drop their Teir 9 damage power (blizzard) and refill their end bar instantly to keep the fight going. Seriously, dropping an Aim/Soul Drain/Fulcrum Shifted Blizzard is a thing of beauty. I took Ghost Widow for PBu/Veng on my team build. I use Psi Epic and 3 holds on my solo build. It's pretty versatile to say the least.

I was on the middle team, I was using a rad/rad. There was also two other corrs both fire/dark. I cannot stress how important having the darks mass rez was for the group. I also focused on using my own rez to keep either of the darks up or the brute if he fell.
The storm AVs powers were brutal and would blast us straight through venge and stacked def buffs. I can't add much to the discussion other than the noticable difference adding more buff/debuff to the mix did for kill speed on the AV. Xeaon did a great job keeping us focused and totally deserves the credit for the raid. -
Have you considered a plant dom instead of mind? You still get a sleep and confuse. In this case the confuse is AOE and recharges really quickly with just SOs in place. A plant/stone for up close and personal or a plant/fire if you would prefer a full ranged option. Incinerate is a great melee attack for fire though.
If you are dead set on mind, I'd suggest fire as a secondary as well. -
Yeah, I'm trying to stay safe over here. Elections are coming up reaaaaal soon. I miss playing with you guys more than I miss the game though. When I come back we'll have to do Tour de TF for old times sake. Nothing like our sub 30 minute LGTF and ITFs.

I'd join, but I'm still in Iraq. *It's Thought Planter*
Good to see you are still playing Drek, tell Rhea I said hello. -
Actually, that isn't the type of recharge that is unaffected. The recharge time affecting a pets personal attacks is what can no longer be enhanced. Your pets, including your patron pets, summon time is still affected by global recharge time.
-
I have an Axe/SR brute softcapped for all, a Elec/Shield Brute soft capped for melee, ranged and 36% aoe, and a SOA crab built with soft capped range. I'm working on a War Mace/Dark brute right now with 40% melee, but should be able to get to soft cap in the near future. War Mace and Axe are great since they have a lot of PBAOE that can slot obliteration sets. 3.75% melee and 5% recharge, what a great set.

I like going after Malta with my Plant/Psi. Seeds of Confusion is just so great against them.
-
Mind/Nrg is really nice for solo play. A hold, confuse, a sleep and stun from your attacks will make handling small mobs fairly easy. Powerboosted Aid Self can make the self heal very worth your time as well. I'm working on mine as we speak and the I15 changes have made Nrg a solo powerhouse.
-
If you are on a /Psi with Drain Psyche, Power Surge makes you incredibly difficult to kill for a time. I have a massive amount of recharge on my dom, and usually get my endurance refilled shortly after it is drained. So your milage may vary.
-
My global is @frosted o's if you would like to get one done. We usually have a core of 2 to 3 IO'd out toons and can pretty much PUG it from there. Most of us roll redside, but we'll gladly take anyone with us.

I'm pretty sure blaze isn't getting modified. Castle is rebalancing the /Psi set for Dominators and possible /NRG if I've been keeping up properly.
