Pretty cool, Dinah.
I used to do those kinds of mixes all the time. It gets much easier to do stuff like that once you go digital and beat grid (and tone bank) all your tracks.

One of the links I gave her was to billboard (and at40, etc.).
I also mentioned that one of the things I used to do back when I toured was to go to the websites of the local radio station(s). That will tell you what's popular specific to your location and taste. That way you can always drop (or remix) something the locals love.
Just take a deep breath and do a little research. : )

I posted some links for you on the SG site, Dinah.
As for the "can't miss" tracks; I'll post a bunch of recent ones that I like for you.

I posted a reply on our SG forums.
I am a "club" DJ, not a weddings/events guy, but I know what makes people want to get off their butts and participate.
I just need to know some basic information: general age range of attendees, duration of event, "mood" of event (no Eiffel 65 or Cannibal Corpse at a funeral is a good rule of thumb), general musical tastes of the attendees, etc.
Let me know; I'm happy to help.

Quote:He tried to make observations on a subgroup by experimentation. His experiments proved that if you continuously piss people off, people will be pissed off. It was written in a way to make it seem like the reactions people had were exclusive to online-gamers, but its not.
As soon as he started to interact with online-gamers by annoying them, he broke whatever is "natural" for online-gamers and turned any reaction they have into something forced. So any threats made against him weren't for no reason, it was because he was digging for them. He wanted those threats so he can have something to write about, twist it, and make it seem like something specific to City of Heroes.
Try continuously cutting the same guy off on the road and that guy will have a similar angry reaction.
This.

Thank you for a good time, Penguins. I had fun; and even got free money for being polite.
How can you top that?
(Thanks again)

Be well and blessed in all your endeavors; hope to see you back soon.

MEGA!
Welcome back, dood.
Good to see you back and about...

I love your guides, dood.
The titles always rock, too.

I've reset Star at least 4 times; so I can't really say with any real accuracy any more.

It really has to do with how many people "narc" on you (for vindictive reasons or otherwise), and if you have a realistic reply and back story to back up your characters.
I have found NC Soft to be very reasonable if you honestly aren't making a copy or obvious name-take.
(And I suppose two people could have had the same name if they didn't add it to the filter. I didn't mean my reply harshly, either way. I like GP a lot.)

Not to "call you out" (cuz ya know I adore you); but you never had the name Phoenix on Champion.
How do I know?
Because I had that name and it got generic'd. (Still have the emails from years ago)
Perhaps it was on a different server.
-------
I even had CuppaJoe try and help me keep it. (Which was awesome)
He was a (male) Native American shaman with a bio that was totally unique.
And you can't copyright a mythical creature like a Vampire (or Manticore). You can only copyright it as the title of an offering.
Long story short ---> that name is long gone. I understand why; and this was during the time when Marvel was all up in arms about that stuff (years ago - before they dropped their case)
I do miss that name, though.
