Standing next to the Hamidon tank is in general bad for your health.
Perhaps I forgot to mention that the hamidon tank moves around, if he gets bored of waiting for people to exit to bubble when the raid leader gives the order. -

I really want to try a new setup where we dont have AT limits. Im pretty sure trollers arent all that compared to a balanced team.
Would anyone be interested in 4vs4 with no AT limitations? -

That isnt exactly true. Thaw enables you to run through quicksand like it isnt there. We have found thaws slow protection to be quite good.
We havnt fought that many CoT's, so our PvE testing is quite limited. Our main tankers for against the Baracuda AV (yes, we [censored] the sucker for SO's) have always been our stalkers, and they say the difference between thaw and no thaw is very big. They even say thaw is probably just as good as SB, maybe better. -

He would hit right through it with little problems. The idea of stacked def grants you something res cant give you. Protection from mez effects.
If a troller cant hit you, he cant mez you.
About therms in pentads.
Bringing any other corr than a therm would be plain stupid, if you are gonna fight heroes. They add almost as much res as a sonic, they can grant mez protection the most common mez effect, they are by far the best healers villains get, they have one of the best single target buffs in the game, they give +acc, they have nasty debuffs, they can give slow protection. -
I find the key to arena fights with villains lies in corrs. 5 corrs is prolly the best combination, you can have for villains. This is very unlike heroes, who can do very well in pentads.
Let villains freely choose AT's instead of restricting them to pentads. You will prolly see very even fights. -
Loose the slots in barrage. Slotting brawl has more use since brawl can knock toggles.
Barrage is too low damage to bother with.
Use the slots in hurdle/cj instead.
Chilling embrace cant taunt in PvP, so dont bother with taunt duration.
Stun has little use. Drop it.
Get body mastery instead of fire. -
I would choose aid self over tough. Less end use and just as much surviveability unless your team has a healer.
In fact I would get it on my tanker, if I had another pool choice. -

I don't actually know too much about MM secondaries but one thing I have seen is that some of them heal for double what my lvl 40 Thermal does. I've seen MM's doing group heals over the 400 mark compared to my Thermals 200-300.

You're talking about /dark MM's.
1) It requires a hit which isnt always that easy without tohit buffs in the build somewhere.
2) You cant really heal anyone but your self. It a small pbaoe heal based arround you. Its no good with a moving team.
Its not simply how much you heal, its also how easy you can do it. /dark fails on the latter. -

8 CC = perma-lockdown, add grant invis and there's not much chance of any mez or alpha-strike if they never saw you nor get a chance to try to hit you.
Unless Longbow have lots of AoE mez effects before lvl 30+ too, and I must be lucky because I've never got hit by it.
Don't get me wrong, I've played a rad sg and there were deaths... because people would get too confident, because half of the team was afk/chatting, or simply because it was so easy it'd get boring and someone would aggro 2 or 3 more groups to break the monotony. Certainly not from mez effects that last a sec with all the AMs going, or alpha-strikes hitting at 10% damage with a 5% hit rate.

CC comes at lvl28. Thats a long wait cause I think the purpose is fast lvling.
Secondly the lower values debuff of corrs compared to defenders really shows.
In a team with all rads its no problems killing +5's, but surviving is.
Yes, we did have grant invis on the team. Didnt help much.
Rikti and lost have AoE sleeps which can cause everyones RI and CC to drop. When fighting +5's they have a real nasty tendency to hit unless you have stacked loads of RI. When you charge the mob only 1-2 will be active before the retaliation. They are gonna hit, and it will be nasty.
Running in with CC doesnt change this as you wont hit unless RI is down.
A sonic would add shields and perma mez protection. CC wont ever drop and leave you with 10-20 secs where you cant use it.
Its much easier with a few colds/sonics. -
You cant SK in the arena. Only exemplaring works to any extend.

And you are wrong. The diferrence between the stealth cap and the perception cap is 10 yds. It doesnt matter how many cm's they have when you can add grant invis on the other side. -
I saw one hero vs. villain match; Retribution vs. Violators.
This is what I saw.
Heroes; 2 support builds, 3 dmg dealers.
Villains; No support builds and poor synergy.
A bubbler is great, but without a therm rad backing him, not so great.
Rad/rad. Rad has low dmg compared to ice or fire, but thats not the problem. Rad is another attacking build, when you need support. Villains only have one good buffer AT, and thats a corr.
A fire brute without acrobatics? What would he do against knockback?
A plant dominator? Great in PvE, pretty gimped in PvP compared to Ice or mind.
Do you expect a balanced fight with a team without synergy, without buffers, without somekind of mezprotection (allowing rages instead of break frees)
Did you think you were gonna fight immobile targets who would allow them to get debuffed, hit by assassin strike and so on?
Thats not even counting your biggest problem. My grandmother moves faster than you guys. You stood still and almost waited for the tanker/blaster to total focus you.
Heroes are better in a pentad, but not as much as you say.
One of the best (if not the best) AT for PvP is found on the villain side. Its called a corruptor, and untill you learn how they support the rest of the team, you are gonna loose. -

Uhm fulcrum shift is lvl38, so the last 2 lvls are fast. Thats kinda the problem. -
