I don't know if something like this has already been posted, but I wanted to make something like the "Rude Tells" thread, but with a different kinda topic.
So here it goes.

What are you most ridiculous AE stories?

I guess I'll start with one of mine that I had posted in another AE related thread.

Boy oh boy do I have a treat for you all ...

I was in PI on my lvl 50 Fire/Kin taking out some Rikti Monkies for the Zoo Keeper badge when I got a random tell asking me "Have any room on team for a lvl 49 blaster?"
I was in a pretty good mood and the tell was actually in english as opposed to that damn "1337 5p34k" junk, so I said "Sure " and invited him.

So he joins the team and I say that I'm in PI hunting monkies for the badge. I tell him to make his way over to PI and take out some with me. He replies with "Okay."

So I'm sitting on the docks waiting for him to zone.
Five minutes pass.
Ten minutes pass.

I start to get a tick in my neck and I see he hasn't moved from Atlas, so I decided to ask him if he was coming or not. He replies with, "The mission won't let me in."

O.o

Thinking it was an error in reading, I tell him that I'm in Peregrine Island, not Atlas Park.

Once again he aknowledges and says he's on his way.

Another 10 minutes passes and he still hasn't budged from Atlas. I assume he's AFK or helping a friend or whatever so I ask him again, "Hey, are you coming?"

He then proceeds to go off at me saying that he can't enter the mission and that he'd been trying the entire time. I explain once again that I was in Peregrine Island, not Atlas Park. More of his clueless banter and me trying to explain to him. He doesn't listen so I just tell him good luck and quit team.

I thought it was over.

Wrong.

He abused me via tell for the next 20 minutes calling me a noob and many other racial and insulting names.


If thats not a perfect example of someone who isn't willing to learn, then strap a crayon to my head, dress me in drag and call me Rayne's thrustpuppet.

I agree with everything that has been posted above.

If you're ever looking for a helping hand and you've decided to roll a character on Liberty, you can always find me either hanging out under the giant statue holding a globe in Atlas Park or inside the City Hall.

Keep an eye out for Teuila, Mystic Fusion or Teuila and say you're the guy from the forums, I'll be more than happy to help out

From what I know of, I don't think you can bind their level/class, but if the bosses of that faction had certain names, like Hellions have "Damned" and Vahz have "Eidolon" then I guess you could target them like that.

I actually saw a few people in the AE building bragging about how quickly they got to 50.

Please, Paragon. Advertise in places other than Chuck and Big Bang Theory. Non-geeks LOVE superheroes right now. Why aren't the numbers swelling?

First off, when I saw the amount of CoX stuff in the Big Bang Theory episodes I squealed like a little girl, nice to know someone else saw that in the show and it wasn't me.

Secondly, when you mentioned that WoW was everywhere, the WoW commercials with Ozzy Ozbourne and Mr T. came into mind. Then I thought of CoX doing something similar.

But I couldn't get the image of Woody Allen doing the same style commercial, just for CoX hehehe...

The way I see it, I kinda like CoX not being in everyones faces, saves the game from being over populated with jerks and keeps us out of the news seeing as how people haven't died from playing it 651273 hours straight without eating.

I'm still having trouble connecting to the server, yet the page says that they're all up?

I connected fine just before maint but now its acting up.
Its giving me the thing that says I can't connect due to it either being blocked by a firewall or the servers are down.

I disabled my firewall and it still won't let me connect.

So I decided to try my hand at writing an MA arc related to my supergroup and was wondering if it is possible to have no enemies in a mission until a trigger is activated.

The reason I want to do this is because in my mission the player will walk into an abandoned warehouse and find nobody, but when they get to the back room they'll see an ally being held captive, once the surrounding mob is engaged, they will "radio in" some back up (Spawn the enemies in the mission) and they player will have to fight their way back out.

Think that mission in Croatoa with the guy with the bow and arrow, except no enemies at the start.

Regarding the i16 color customization I was wondering if anyone knew whether the colors were linked to the character themselves or to the costume?

It'd be awesome to be able to go from a regular red flame throwing hero to a demonic looking version of yourself spewing black flames.
