Even though that is extemely interesting, and even with the option to convert that to a native iphone app, for now, im not aiming for that as my javascript skills are below ... anything.

I just had an awesome brainstorm session with some CoX vets on how to achieve both apps and we instantly started creating some wireframes which shows what goes where and what the used needs to do to create a build from scratch or edit a curently opened build. Even tho it was a bit of a strugle at several points, im happy to say we got a solid and userfriendly wireframe which holds all requiered data every step of the way without the (tiny) screen being cluthered with tiny icons, text and buttons.
I has a happy, lets get to work!

After you have the reference part down, I would start working towards a builder with actual stats displayed. (being able to add slots and enhancements). About the mids part; mids creates a data chuck containing all information on the build. Once im at a point of wishing to do similar ill look at contacting the mids builders for agreement and advice. i DO think it would be a good feature.
For the very basics a forum export and a simple textual (email ready) export will be availible

I'm having a (skype) brainstorm with some CoX Vets and and another designer to see how best to get started with this and get the best result out of the small screen of the iPhone.
Little side note; we'll be discussing both the build creator as the idea for creating a costume creator to see how we can best solve the issues we could encounter. As of this point, i think both are optional and I already have idea's on how to accomplish both of em. Most likely as separate applications.
I will keep you posted with any progress ^^ -

Anyway, as i have stated on there; I'm not really a hardcore developer that can do multiple coding languages. I'm a interactive and interface designer that got into iPhone development as a bet to a coworker. So at this point,i will only be able to write this in iPhone code as that is the only script language I know. So that answers both the first as second comment I guess; as an interface designer, I'll make the small screen interface work.
Now ive got a new question; is creating a forum export or even a mids build export something you would highly enjoy? -

Good coding practices should help with that, but some less experienced programmers (I'm strictly generalizing here, not saying anything about you as we've never met) forget that a language/environment like Flash might not clean up after itself properly. It is always better to do your own garbage collection, something I've learned from C++.
Yep. The amount of data and stats mids has is insane. My question is in that case,how much of this data is a MUST in the first version of the app assuming I keep expanding it. Other then all powers, enhancements and available sets (probably even power set comparison), are all the detailed statistics and calculations mids does really necessary in the app? -

That's on my wishlist aswell. It brings several issues with it though. For one, obtaining the images and having them all in the same angle/size/height and transparency, the option for changing the color without having to save EVERY costumepart in EVERY available color as a seperate image would be VERY heavy for the app -

But before I start and waste numerous, Id like to knew a few things..
1: Is there even enough interest in this?
2: What features would you like to see in the app?

About the Luck of the Gambler global recharges; thats actualy an enhancement i already have on my current build, 90% of these are.
The 4th Numina's in Health is purely for its HPbonus(iirc) but ill take a look at the RegenTissue +Regen
Idealy, asuming i already have all these enhancements and a budget of 600milion to spend on it, and if you have the time, could you show me in a build how yoou guys would suggest making it better? -
Hey guys, I've just recently come back to this game after a year and a half break. My favourite character back then was a Willpower/Stone tank called "Hatian." on which I had put some sets just before I left. Now that I'm back and a few things have changed, I decided that I should update the guy a bit. I'm a bit of a traditional tank, meaning that my teams and my survivability are most important even at the tougher TF's.
Ive made a build and I would like to hear some feedback on it before I actually take it into action.
Note: I've already got most of these sets except for the ones on Heightened Senses and Maneuvers.
Note 2: The Alpha slot I have at the moment is "Spiritual Radial Boost" (For all powers: Increases Recharge Rate and Healing by 33%)
Note 3: The described totals lower in the post include the effects from the 4 always-on hero accolades
Note 4: The enhancement slot levels are important at this point. I will get into that once ive gotten to the point of respecing

Im playing mainly on union. But since that server's character slots are all full with mostly 50's, ive started playing a little on defiant aswell.
I recently spoke to some people and they convinced me both a energy/reflex stalker and a ice/kin corruptor (alot of slowness) are good in pvp. So ive started one of both.
For a beginner in pvp and a lover of awesomeness, what would you advice me to make for pvp? (new AT's allowed, got access to pb/ws and [censored]/widow as well) -
After 44 months of playing a proud PVE hero, i've finally decided to give that PVP stuff a go.
At the moment my fav toon is my lvl 50 willpower/stone tank so I was thinking to drop him in the pvp pit to see what happens.
I got butt whipped!
Couldn't hit anyone and then a stalker and a bane ran up to me, both assasinstroke me and I was pretty much done for..
The fight took about 40 secs.
So I realized i should use that 2nd build thing, (which I never use anyway) to make a PVP build from it.
Knowing I didn't hit [censored], I focused on the acc improvement compared to my PVE build.
But then i started wondering.. is a wp tank any good at all in pvp? since it has nothing capped.. will i just be weak no-matter what i do with it?
I've tried playing Mids a bit to see what i can push my WP/Stone tank to both acc- and resistance-wise and this is what i came up with. (see a cpl lines down)
NOTE: It has no sets in the build. was just trying to see what i could improve by swapping and re-slotting powers.
ATM i got 120 million inf on that char, but im sure i got another cpl hundreds shattered around my other toons coming to around 300 million i guess.
Is Willpower / Stone tank worth slotting for PVP? If so, what should I be looking at? Or is it a lost cause?

It's been a while since i played a villian (last time was in i7) but ive decided to give it another go.
Back in the days there was this issue with the Ancillary powers, once you picked them, you wont ever lose them again.
I know thats fixed by now, somthing a Ancillary respec or whatever
My question is tho...
If i have 2 builds, can i have 2 different Ancillary sets?
Will i have to do one of those Ancillary respecs to do that? Or will that replace the Ancillary set on the first build aswell?
Ive asked a few ppl in-game but they didnt seem to know the answer.

when you make a screenshot ingame it automaticly saves them to a folder in your coh drive.
[ C:\Program Files\City of Heroes\screenshots ] by default.
you can set and change the screenshot button in the ingame settings. You can make a different button for tga and jpg screenshots and even make a button to disable the ingame UI.
It saves the files in that folder, with the date and time as file name -

Have no clue what to take on 49 though.
Since i had fire mastery, i could take consume.. but thats kinda useless..
I read about stone mastery, where u get ... whatever its name is - footstomp, rock armor and then earth embrace at 49. That would be a usefull power. but i think damage resistence is more usefull then defence in my case. therefor i picked fire.
The footstop looks like an amazing power with the knockback and stun...
Ofcourse thers always the posibility of getting psionic mastery. that has damage resistence aswell. though im not sure about the other powers, Psionic Tornado deals alot less damage then fire ball...
