content wise it has been lacking for awhile and let's face it ...less than stellar design decisions that has changed the game for the worse, yeah AE i'm looking at you.
I haven't purchased going rouge ...i'm in the waiting and seeing crowd things haven't been fully explained, but i know this if the max level you can get is 1-20 i'll probably pass it entirely since getting to that is a walk in the park. -

That's what it reads like you're saying. And if that's the case you can still do that.Or, you can go through and then go back on any mission badges you passed up along the way.
Not only that, but Oro gives new content as well. So, it's win win!
in the past it use too take planning on what contacts you wanted to get certain badges for accolades and most of the times multiple deaths getting exp loss so you didn't miss a certain contact .
the way contacts where set up you would miss some missions unless a friend had them ...which was a good thing.
social interaction,teaming,challenge,missed content.
issue 11 ruined that .
it made things easy
it made the content worthless because you could hit 50 and go threw all the arcs and get rewarded with "oreo badges".
no longer was there any planing on what contacts you would hit up ,or discussions with missions or challenge in any way it made badgering worthless ...now getting badges are just a number back then it was "oh wow how did they get that".
and this is just with "issue 11" i have had gripes all the other issues all the way up till issue 17 but with the other i don't have a deep a gripe because in all actually not much has been really added to the game far as content the one good thing though with issue 17 is they have excellent mission arcs .
"edit: i know task force's have been added ,but i don't consider that content same goes with AE i don't consider that content either the on going game lore didn't progress fan fiction doesn't count"

i'm just saying the quality of life couldn't be better ,in fact it maybe too good !
now if development would work issue's that revolve around something that resembles a comic book and do that for atleast 10-12 issues i would be happy.

really the only way your gonna fix AE is to take exp out of AE .
but that's not gonna happen since it would affect sales of mission slots . -

i'll break down ...both issue faults
issue 11
added absolutely nothing to the game in fact it took alot from the game itself previously you had to take certain routes to visit certain contacts if you wanted certain badges or you would miss out i remember visiting red tomax's site trying to do the best course of action to receive certain missions.
which made not all contacts available on one play threw on the path to 50 ...you needed either to shout in zones or talk too friends if they had certain missions which added some challenge to the game .
also note you didn't have access to all the contacts or missions you had actual variety plus hidden contacts..
when issue 11 dropped all that went away missions and contacts could easily be re done what made it worse is they actually gave you badges for doing the flashback missions
inadvertently doing all the content available in the game ...nothing was new anymore .
issue 16
adds nothing either far as content being able to change the colors too powers ....and that's it .
and the Enhanced Difficulty Options which itself just alienates teams more and is basically only good really for someone that's farming .
for real go back and check the issue's and you can see a trend in the quality of issue's

issue 10 was awesome ..then it progressively got into the realms of more detail went into costume packs than actual issues.
but like i said i expect going rouge to pull people back into the game. -

10,000 people dropped by when issue 17 hit the 28 of april ....i'm guessing people are waiting for going rouge because well it is actually something new for a change .
but for me, i resubbed today because of boredom ,not because of the new issue last time a new issue actually did interest me was issue 10 invasion. -

i resubbed a couple days before i16 was released and noticed the zones that less people where in it.
.....and when i16 was release a time when the zones are usually packed when a issue is released, i didn't notice much if any changes in player numbers .
there just wasn't many people on....and haven't been compared to the way it use to be .
i don't know why people are giving you a hard time with this,it's obvious player number are down. -

stuff like that would get me excited ....the mission architect didn't and hasn't appealed to me ....because it's just using the same maps "office building,cave,sewer," you can't make something from scratch your just using the same maps you have ran threw hundreds of times already.
you mention issue 10 and i for one loved that one it was awesome i been waiting for another issue like that...the invasion when it first happened was really fun ..collecting merits to get costume pieces,badges ...missions ..

that's what i'm talking about and totally turned me off playing this game.
i'll explain i play on villain side and i was excited about finally being able to get the troll badge

because the only way you can get it is well paper mission from 10-20 with a team size of 8.
ok so i repeatably did the mission solo and got the badge and that was it.
was the experience fun?
not really and then i started to realize that i was plotting what badges i could obtain next now that i was able too set the team size ...and i stated to think ....do i really want to level a toon just too collect badges again.
not really.
collecting badge's can be time consuming ....but i can honestly say fun never actually factored in it.
more like "it was something to do"
that's why i say i hope they add some new content soon ....yeah this stuff they added in this issue is ok ....but in hindsight is the stuff added worth spending a monthly fee waiting until another "soon" content laden issue and or expansion comes out ,no not really.
when that happens i'll be happy to shell out the fee.
edit: cough or if pvp was changed back before it was issue 13 -
i resubbed too check out issue 16
changing power colors is nice for someone that's interested in that sorta thing but sadly i'm not that someone.
the only real thing i'm happy about is the disable "mail feature" ...and in a way that's sad.
hopefully going rouge adds new content maybe then i would keep the sub for than more than a month at a time.
mainly i'm just seeing what the issue is about other than that...i lost all interest in pvp after the changes in i13 and don't see much for sticking around with the content light QOL heavy issues that's been the norm for the past couple of years.
i don't see much worth too actually stick around for. -

thanks for posting this i didn't know info had dropped on issue 16.
far as the question i like this alot ...those can you fill tells are in my mind worse than gill sellers.
i get them alot.
also on redside when i work on badges say like trolls you need a full team to get certain mobs to spawn people aren't interested in that.
and im not gonna ask hey can you fill?
out of i know how it is.
i thinks it great but ...if you step back and think about it ...it does seem abit off.
so in a way prob great for badgers and "can you fill" tells... but it raises questions too.
issue 16 info -
meh i still say something's wonkey with the arrow keys ....plus using the wasd directional keys together.
you know like if you hold down the rightside mouse button for a period of time and let go then your character continues too run .
it's seem like it screwing up the chat if you use to many inputs to stear i'e the arrows plus the awsd keys while use the mouse.
edit also im not replying to jeminks ...just replying to thread. -

i noticed a couple issue's ago that if i used the arrow keys to navigate my char and if visit the black market and would start too type ...
what ever i type seemed to get in a loop of what i typed in the black market ...that goes for the mail system too like it would get stuck 1 if the first thing i type was 1111111111111
i would exit the black market log out and not use the arrows keys and i would not get this looping of last keys i pressed .
it was fixed and i didn't play for awhile
since i just came back recently i noticed this qqqqqqqwwwww stuff i'm guessing people are using the arrow keys and the regular keys they have binds too or use to control but instead of the black market typing looping it's looping in the text box.
what i do is either hit backspace or enter a couple times before i type and i don't get the bug when i type...also when i don't use the arrows keys when i navigate. -
