Quote:Honestly, Dual Blades is a set that can be somewhat customized to the player's preference, so what one person finds useful in the set, another may not. With that said, I took it at 32 and haven't looked back. It's a great big cone that does a lot of damage, albeit of a type that is the most resisted in the game. I tend to mostly solo on my Stalker and I still get lots of mileage out of the power.Dual Blades
- One Thousand Cuts, the damage is nice, but the 3.3sec animation is LONG! I see it as more of a team power, but is it useful?

Pardon SatHam, he has a prejudice against Stalkers. He should totally join up and see what he's missing.

I'm up for it. I was about to do some Fake Nam hunting on Green Apple Soda today myself. Unveiler is the last defeat badge I need for the accolade.
-
I should be able to make it that day. I have a Dual Blades/Ninjitsu I can bring.
-
They ARE! I was checking out the resists at level 3 with the first shield and was impressed at the range of resists Zombie Horde has. Add 20% on top of that from the Pet IOs and I'll have mini-tanks!
-
If you're impatient and want to try a set you currently CAN customize the colors for, try Necro. Otherwise, please try to be more grateful for what we have.

My highest-level Mastermind is a Thugs/Storm, and I love all of the tools it brings. It's also an EXTREMELY active set. If you plan on going for IO sets, you'll want to go mainly for recharge, recovery, and defense bonuses, in that order. Ordinarily Storm requires an emphasis on Recovery, but as a Mastermind most if not all of your attacks are concentrated in your pets, so you don't have as much of a constant endurance drain as a Controller, Corrupter, or Defender. The set can still be a bit of an end hog at times, though, especially when you're furiously spamming your single-target heal to help your poor minions that insisted on running through some caltrops.

For Bots, Mu is usually recommended to help keep the mobs in your Assault Bot's Burn Patches.
Oppressive Gloom could be helpful in the heat of battle, but if you're planning on sneaking up and laying down some traps near a mob, you'll probably have to toggle it on and off frequently. -
I've been thinking of making a Fire/Rad/Psi for the HF+CC+WoC combo, and Local Man mentioned Bonfire. Is the -KB in Fire Cages is enough to use Bonfire beneath the spawn without scattering it all over, or will it move the mob around anyway?
Also, I was thinking of just saying "forget it" to trying to get more defenses through IOs and instead slot for recharge, endurance modification/reduction, control, and damage. Do you think I'd still be able to manage without faceplanting all the time? -
I want to make a Mind/Dark most of all, but pretty much anything goes well with /Dark.

I'm saving a character slot for if the Devs ever port over Dark Miasma to Controllers. It would be AMAZING!

Just grab the new one from http://www.cohplanner.com/

Are Purples still barely dropping as well? Y'know, more than usual?
It used to be that most of the time, at least 1 person got a purple on an ITF. I've been on several during the past couple of months and haven't noticed anyone get any. -
How about a random event like this?

Seriously though, I'm hoping that we get lots of great improvements this year. Like i said in my original post, I want some snow in other zones! -
Maybe I'm just kind of a freak, but it's only September and I'm thinking that the Halloween and Winter events can't come fast enough. My favorite is the Winter Event; we doesn't get much snow in Phoenix, so it's lots of fun getting to play around in it without having to worry about frostbite. Plus, we get the holiday jetpack, arguably one of the best jetpacks in the game. I hope that next time the event rolls around, we get to see snow in more zones.
Anyone else anticipating the events, or am I just weird? -
I'm thinking of trying the combo myself. Below is a Rad/Ice/Cold that I put together. It may not fit everyone's preferences or be entirely min/maxed, but I'm satisfied with it, and it may give you some ideas, Sagamemnon.

Yay, we have 3 west-coasters at least.
Regarding a meet-n-greet, do I have enough time to order the wrestling pit for SatHam and Voodoo? -
I'm in Phoenix, and thus a horribly-out-of-place West Coaster of the group.
-
Yes!!!!!
Too bad I gotta work until 8PST tonight. Fortunately, I got all of my grocery shopping for the enxt few days done already, so i can just come right home.
Notice any bugs yet? -
I watch stuff on Hulu or boot up one of my dozens of games that I've never finished or even played once. Heck, the only time I DO play most of my console games is when CoX is down or I'm taking a small break.

Ham, next time you're running something redside, I'm bringing Icepick. You need to be around someone who knows how to play the AT.
