I made my first blaster fairly recently. Got him to level 50 (dp/mm). I plan on softcapping his s/l defense but that's gonna take some time since I'm not too well developed on hero side (mainly play villain).
So anyways I did an ITF on my warshade that I haven't played in forever. It made me sad because he felt like a blaster with 90% resistances (or whatever the cap is) in everything. Which made me question why I need a blaster to begin with.
I was hoping someone here could tell me in what areas blasters are better than warshades so I don't feel as sad. -
Note: I'm not saying that we should try to change player behavior but just add an option as encouragement.
Mainly refering to RWZ here but there should always be a Rikti War Zone 2 option. This way players can do raids in the 2nd map, leaving the 1st one for people who don't care about the raid. Raids have a habit of capping the map which can be annoying for someone that just wants to do missions and can't get to RWZ. And if they do get in then they're taking up a slot for someone that wants to do the raid.
Another related topic is when they spawn things like the zombie invasion or the rikti invasion that the game create a 2nd zone option for the zone it's in. And then have the invasion in that zone. That way plays can still play normally. I can't tell you how annoying it is when you have a "kill x monster in zone y" mission and that map is currently being invaded so ALL THE MONSTERS ARE GONE. Also it would stop people from going "get away from the black market guys the drones are kill them" "no I'm doing stuff and I don't care about the invasion leave me alone". -
Tanks need a buff to their inherent (whatever that buff is I dunno). When Going Rogue comes out there will be no need to make tanks whatsoever because brutes do just fine and do a lot more damage with fury (except in PVP cause good luck getting fury up to a reasonable level in PVP). A Brute with taunt and their taunt aura is good enough to keep your team alive. And most people I know say that even taunt is optional.
They should make the tank inherent a 2-parter like some of the other inherents. It should give some taunt and something else too. In City of Heroes where damage is king and everything else is just nice tankers don't shine very well. -
Lol. The devs aren't going to make more SFs. And if they do it's going to be like the barracuda where the heroes get an equivilent. Heroes will ALWAYS have more tf than villains have sfs because the devs think adding villain-only content will make people cry and unsubscribe. And the sad thing is they're probably right because everyone loves hero side so much even though the villain ATs are more interesting (in general).

Quote:I stopped reading after this statement because this statement is stupid.
Influence sinks do not solve the base problem of inflation.
Inflation is when there is more money coming into the system than leaving. Money sinks help solves this. Even if only non-rich players lose money it still makes prices go down. THE LESS OVERALL MONEY IN THE SYSTEM THE LESS THINGS COST.
Until you realize this there's no point in reading the rest of your post. -
Mainly focusing on merits but why not throw tickets in there.
There's no real reason to limit merits from being tradable. You can already just give people recipies and enchancements (which is especially easy if you're in a super group and have a base with made enhancements). Plus with the introduction of being able to trade via mail that just further proves the point that restricting merit trading makes no sense.
You could argue that you could give merits from a low level toon to a higher one. But that's precisely why I want to be able to trade merits. I always hate it when I have 600+ merits on a non-50 toon and so I can't do anything with the merits (except get recipies like numi recov/regen but there aren't a ton of recipes like that). It's like winning a sport in the olympics and them being like "gratz we'll give you the gold but you can't claim it for half a year. if you want a medal now then here take a bronze medal instead." In general IOs are only useful endgame since why buy the same IO multiple times (best to just get SOs until you can get IOs).
I guess you could argue that a toon doesn't deserve merits if it didn't earn them, but that's a fake reason that should be ignored. -
From my experience the damage they do isn't really worth using up a slot for them. I only use +dmg procs when I want a full set of a recipie like oblits.

A power that would be super neat, dawg, would be a single target enemy toggle that essentially perma-confuses them (it would not however be able to use confuse IOs as there's no real duration or accuracy check). Said toggle would have a relatively high end cost and would untoggle when you got mezzed and would have a relatively long recharge time so you can't just throw it up again after you get mezed or run out of endurance. And AVs and GMs would of course be immune to it. I guess you could argue to have EBs immune to it but at the least you should be able to mind control bosses or else it would suck ballz dawg. And the mind controlled unit should follow you around like a troller/dom pet because having it stand around picking it's nose would be no fun.
It would obviously be an AT powerset and not a power pool like fitness and not a patron/epic pool. Three ATs that come to mind that would make sense to have this power would be dom, troller, and mastermind. -
I am actually not to well versed in this subject, other then the loading screen telling me that teams get a better exp bonus and people telling me that it's better to get drops by soloing.
This is rather silly, since teams are encouraged by the fact that you can kill faster which gets you faster exp. Also it's silly for the drops to be different because now people can solo at x8 which means you're now penalized for teaming on the drops side. -
At the cost of having them increase the endurance cost massively? No ty. They really need to change the MM buffs so that they buff the tier and not everyone because it uses up too much dang endurance.

I heard that 2billion is the cap a player can have. That's not very smart and needs to be raised/removed. The reason being is then items on the black market can't sell for over 2 billion. Why is this bad you ask? Because it encourages back-door deals where players trade money for the item instead of using the black market/wentworths. And so therefore no money is lost in the transaction. Raising the money cap would result in more money leaving the economy.
In short, raising the cap would lower prices. -
People should be rewarded bonus merits for setting the difficulty settings. They shouldn't be too high though. 5 merits for 0 deaths is a little too much, for instance (a bonus of like 3 merits would probably be better).
People should also be penalized if they fail a challenge, but failing ANY challenge should only result in the lose of 1 merit per failure. Griefing can be easily be avoided by not using difficulty settings on pug teams.
This risk/reward system is the only way to reward players for taking chances and coming out ahead. The penalty is needed or else everyone would just turn on like no deaths and 30 minute time limit all the time. -
You should add the Reactor Core room as an arena map for PvP. Then have enemies come out occasionally like in the respec TF. Then give everyone those red bubble auras but make them permanent so they players stand out better. This would essentially be a PvPvE arena map which would be cool.

I'm hoping the tier 3 demon summoning pet is melee-oriented since the only other melee-oriented tier 3 pet is the bruiser.

Back on topic...
If you would merge BMT redside with another channel it wouldn't be BMT of Champion but probably rather Champions Unites. Why? Because of the free-speech philosophy behind the two channels. It's no secret that the mods on BMT of Champion aren't afraid to use their power (not that that's a bad thing). So merging BMT Redside with BMT of Champion wouldn't be a good idea.
For a simplified example let's say that the game Darksiders is BMT of Champion, Dante's Inferno is BMT Redside, and Champions United is God of War. All 3 are good games in their own right and do what they set out to do well. However Darksiders is a different beast than Dante's Inferno or God of War. So to argue that Dante's Inferno should go away because Darksiders already exists is a bit silly. They both offer 2 drastically different experiences (although are both in the same genre). You could though however argue that Dante's Inferno isn't needed because God of War is already in existence because the 2 are so similar. However you could just not care that Dante's Inferno is similar to God of War and get both.
I have all 3 channels so I don't really care one way or the other. I could see BMT Redside being used by people that only play villains and don't want to sift through hero talk. However though it seems the population of such players is really low. -
Quote:Would it be good to put that in Oni? Oni has Rain of Fire. Wondering cause I have a ninja MM.The existing +recharge proc isn't doing anything for you. All pets are not affected by recharge buffs/debuffs.
The soulbound proc is incredible in Assbot. It has a chance to build up every time it attacks for every target it hits. I've seen the thing double and tripple stacked. Good $deity the big orange numbers. -
I have a ninja/dark and it's enjoyable. The main complaint I have is the ninjas like to use shurikens and poison darts way too often.
-
I have ninja/dark misma and I have stamina and still have end issues lul.

Topic.
If you want to make them weaker/stronger than tweak their base stats don't just change their levels. -
Does smoke flash give your ninja a power that they use occasionally like the train powers or is it just a one time use thing? The guides seem to suggest one time use but don't specifically say if it is or isn't. I looked at the power and it says it grants smoke bomb to genin (much like the train powers say they grant a power). So I'm a bit confused.
-
I've always wondered this but never asked. What yields a better endurancy recovery over time, 3 end mod IOs or 2 end mod IOs and the chance for +end proc?
-
I don't really care too much about the EAT change. I think it's a little weird how it's level 20 though. If you decrease it it should be to like level 30. People are already rewarded for getting to level 20 by FINALLY being able to get stamina.
Also they need to release what exactly the Shadowy Presence power does (including things like endurance cost). I will not preorder the Complete Collection unless they say what this power exactly does.
