    Which Server?

Defiant. It's just where I started, plus GG is there. I wouldn't even consider another server anymore.
  2. [ QUOTE ]
Yeah - I'm like 5 feet 5 and a half/five feet 6, but I had to make my avatar over 6 feet just to look normal in this land of giants

    [/ QUOTE ]

If I'm making a 'normal' sized toon, they're six and a half feet tall just to look normal, since that's the same as a ganger or cop in this game.
  3. Don't give me that nonsense, you know my global is @Khorak. You don't want to meet me at all!
  4. [ QUOTE ]
Yes yes... busty Amazons with bracers and ropes to tie you with. Hoping they follow the rule of the less the armour, the more protection it affords female characters too.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Uh...I was actually referring to their flying around on winged horses shooting down jets with a bow and arrow.

The bit about ropes and tying though, that's a-ok. Probably not the way round you're thinking either.

Although, the funniest moment in comics came recently when Hercules caught up to Amadeus Chos kidnappers. He looked through a window and found him sitting with an amazon, believing his 16 year old companion to finally be about to score, he just grins and gives him a thumbs up instead of rescuing him!
  5. Hmm, I'll have to try coming to this. I need to start stamping myself all over everything so people can't escape my horrific influence.
  6. *shrug* I wouldn't know if any of my costumes are truly inspirational, but what I do make sure of is that they're solid designs. No jarring mismatches of parts and complimenting colours.

Unfortunately the costumes I make don't seem to matter much. I seem to be the only person who creates eight foot tall women, so they're too busy commenting on that instead.
  7. Doing shadows properly in this game would, bar me and a very small percentage of people on the face of the planet stupid enough to have bought a load of otherwise useless computing power, utterly crush your PC like a US Armoured Division encountering a bunch of half starved Iraqi militiamen armed with rocks in open field combat.

It's not just real time rendering of realistic shadows of at least an entire city block around you, it's real time rendering of realistic shadows of at least an entire city block around you whilst the light source is moving through its day cycle fast enough for you to watch your own shadow moving around you. That's not just difficult, that's utterly, utterly sick. The entire citys shadows would be moving all around you, non-stop. Morrowind managed to beat every bodily fluid imaginable out of computers just by being dumb enough to always be rendering the water at sea level you couldn't even see below you. Constantly moving realistic shadows whilst running through Paragon? The game might as well be presented to us as a series of comic book panels.

You surely can't have failed to read a comicbook where heroes travel back to ancient greece/rome? Please tell me it ain't so!

    [/ QUOTE ]

Stuff Rome, Ancient Greece is where it's at as far as comics are concerned. Hercules and the Greek pantheon are gonna get shoehorned in somewhere. And amazons. There's always amazons. Although in the case of DC, they're even more ludicrous than normal expectations.

    Have you been....stalking my girlfriend?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Where would I find the time to stalk Golden Girl AND Stasis? No, I like staring at the games on the shelf in the desperate hope that one will be enticing enough to buy, and thus give me some respite from my girly need to buy things. She just seems to hang around the place stopping me, along with all the other people in those matching t-shirts, from just taking whatever I want.
  10. [ QUOTE ]
I think what Stasis was trying to get across was that retail workers, at least, work too late to get any 'last minute' shopping done.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Pretty sure I've seen her now. I didn't get much of a look though, because I sneezed and have no idea where she landed.

You need to feed that girl some burgers.
  11. [ QUOTE ]
So you hit 50 just by fighting street mobs? Didn't you want any variation?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Actually I've hit 48 with a Scrapper and 42 with a Brute without any variation. And think about how that applies to relationships; chances of me getting bored of you? Nil.
  12. [ QUOTE ]
It's legal to kill a scotsman who walks through York City holding a bow and arrow......but it's not like anyone is going to do that is it?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Only because they refuse to hold the bow when I ask them to.
  13. [ QUOTE ]
Evil overlord? I thought you only played CoH and not CoV?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Brutes have a lot of power sets Scrappers don't. Like Superstrength. It's an irritation since I then have to write up a bio explaining why I'm referring to everyone else in the Rogue Isles as a piece of scum. That I don't bother going on missions and just street rampage my way through every level makes it a bit easier.
  14. [ QUOTE ]
You should offer a reward to whoever has the name, so that they might change it exchange for Inf.

    [/ QUOTE ]

'Khorak' as a word exists in only three permutations. It is a town in India. It is some sort of food in what I think is Iranian. It is the name of my lunatic 'evil overlord' alterego who exemplifies a fair few entries from tvtropes.org.

And I should pay someone who sat on it? I don't think it's a great precedent to pay people to have your face back after they've torn it off your head love.
  15. [ QUOTE ]
    Don't encourage his fury

    [/ QUOTE ]

No need at this point. If I ever get my hands on whichever one of you actually used the name 'Khorak' on Defiant, I'm going to feed you into a wood chipper feet first. And pull you out when you're only halfway down.

The lunacy of this thread, again, is like a bright light to a moth. Or an unsmashed building to the Hulk.
  16. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RRRRRGH!
    *starts randomly smashing*
  17. Share Pain is excellent. The heal is massive, in all cases you'll turn a pet from having no limbs and an ounce of blood, back into a jolly green giant (it's just over double the heal of Soothe). Even better, the endurance cost is pretty much absolutely nothing. All you're using is what is a tiny bit of health to a Mastermind. If you're playing it properly you should have so much health you won't even notice the cost, and when the 'no heal' affect wears off from you, your spamming of Nullify Pain makes it all better.

It's even better when you're teaming with others. Well the heal is good, but the best part is being horribly creepy and asking if you can taste their pain, like some lunatic masochist.
  18. [ QUOTE ]
However that such un-intuitive (and expensive?) a work-around is required just to get it competing means there's something definitely worth revising here.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Sounds pretty simple as a solution really. Raise the damage of all Mercs attacks by a good third. Not a full half of course, then we could cram in those Inventions and be gods, but the issue seems to be the kitten soft nature of their bullets.
  19. [ QUOTE ]
You a winner! Ha ha ha. You a winner! Ha ha ha.

    ...What's that from?!

    [/ QUOTE ]

The Simpsons. Bart frauds his way to a load of credit cards in the mail and kits his room out; he has an imported Japanese game machine that does it when he wins. It's a pinball machine or something.

*eats any remaining cake and leaves*
  20. I went through all the effort of collecting 25 damnable canes at level 6, which wasn't easy with all the high level cowards swiping the presents in Atlas Park, and I can't even have the halo!
  21. [ QUOTE ]
You need new glasses mate. The desktop looks TOTALLY different without Aero and all its transparency effects. I can't STAND it like that.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Nothing changed when I moved it over. And I did it just now to make sure. Aero is just the 'Windows Vista Basic' colour scheme with some pointless whizzbangs like the switching between windows button. Which still works with Aero off but in a massively more efficient manner.
  22. [ QUOTE ]
Pffft... Twice last night on the new drivers...

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah I got one after hours of burning Rikti to death. Then I turned off Aero and so far haven't had a problem. Either way, it's now a long time between problems for me, so if nothing else the game is playable again.

I'd recommend turning off Aero anyway, the desktop doesn't look any different in any way, and everything runs faster. Computer boots up a hell of a lot faster as well. Aero is utter trash.
  23. Shivans are not confirmed as the scouts of the Coming Storm. The Shivans are merely confirmed as having attacked Atlas at some point in the future.

Mender Silos already has zero credibility even without his proclamations about some sort of Coming Storm being explicitly thrown into doubt in the very missions Ouroboros sends you on during the initiation. There is, in fact, no evidence that Ouroboros itself is not the Storm.

  25. [ QUOTE ]
Last I remember of Stasis, fat she was not.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That's where most of the amusement comes from for me. It's always way more fun to call someone who blatantly isn't fat, a complete fatty.

Except with GG, but I love our porky little American friend nonetheless.
