Defeat fails the mission. Makes sense. Teams can ressurect fallen members, but if you're solo or the whole team wipes, you lose.

Encourages teaming by making soloing more risky in a reasonable and realistic way, and teams will care more about falling back and regrouping (and using 'phase shift and leg it' powers) instead of hanging on to the bitter end because it doesn't matter and you might as well lay out all the DPS you can before coming back.

Even better when there's only one guy standing, who goes freaking nuts with inspirations and Tier 9 powers to save the day, or your blaster heroically detonates himself to stop everyone getting scrubbed.

I solo. I go one on one with this game, it's like a duel, an epic battle between me and the code. I'll beat seven shades of fun out of this game. I'll hack its head off and bathe in the fountaining geyser of warm joy. I'll disembowel it and watch it try to hold in its own gameplay. There'll be severed merriment everywhere.

Come to think of it, the only buff Regen really needs is some animation tweaks so it doesn't cause redraw. The exact same animations would suffice but with the weapon arm remaining by the side. I refuse to believe we live in a world of 3D animation so utterly cumbersome an existing one can't be modified.

That's about the only reason I don't play Regen (though the ruinous Integration aura helps), because I can't be bothered with the redraw, even worse considering the Scrapper primaries are laden with weapons.

So in other words, we have to arbitrarily remove Invs massive self +HP and Heal Buff so that Willpower can just keep on regenerating and Inv can't. Colour me unimpressed. Why don't we try dishonest statistics with Regen as well...

And for Scrappers, fifteen seconds respite can be more than enough to make absolute mincemeat out of the most annoying enemies if things go bad in the middle of a fight. With Regen doing what it does, that respite also means you'll blitz right back to full health again.

Many times I've watched /WP completely collapse in the face of a heavy attack. It is not overpowered, it is merely like Regen, it will always look completely indomitable at all times until something goes wrong, when it will go from awesome to dead in the blink of an eye. Other sets are quite capable of going up and down their health bar as part of their normal operations; Willpower shouldn't, because once the enemies manage to make enough stick to you to actually make your health start going steadily down there isn't really anything you can do to stop it.

By which you mean of course, "Willpower has to get Tough just to reach the same level of S/L invuln gets without it". There's no 'almost' about it, Invulnerability dumps all over S/L damage compared to Willpower. It's much bigger S/L resist is backed up by good defense, since Willpower deliberately gives very little S/L defense while Inv does, the gap gets even wider.
