  1. but thats 5 slots to get under 10%(hypothetical) defense. thats not very attactive. those 5 slots can go to my offense to kill them before they kill me.
  2. sets are supposed to be balanced within each others archetypes, right?

    wellll, we dont' really seem to be balanced to stone. while we get our energy drain. they get earths embrace. plus earths embrace has so much more utility than energy drain. since rooted + health + earths embrace. they're playing a regen with 'solid' defense. far eclipses us having energy drain and no other real benefits.


    i think i chose the wrong secondary! while EA is fun, i'd hope for something closer to 30 def. at least then its a 20% chance for a minion to hit us. not flooring anything, but still nice. it'll be nice to get overload and conserve power though. at least then i'll be a damaging beast!
  3. sucks that i have run my brute with a tray full of purples. so even con minions have a 1 in 5 chance of hitting us? given that you can go into a 3 man team and be expected to take the alpha. we're gonna be hit almost every 'round of attack'

    sounds crappy.


    how much DEF does stone armor have?

  8. i've been on a team where everyone was either sonic/sonic or arrow/arrow
    i was an odd man out with a dark/sonic

    we were ripping groups up in perez park. 5 seconds flat and the entire mob was dead. kinetics is a must though for the endurance part of the equation. transference will be a godsend.


    would this be on freedom as well? i'd be interested if my current coalition of SG's doesn't do something similar

  12. this trial was extremely EASY. the guide is pretty dead on for the most part

    the beginning. just skip on past all of the first lairs. till you get to the rock wall "lair."

    we went and killed everything in the room, along with the two quarrys(monsters). we started attacking the wall and some boulders appeared. killed them extremely quick and took the wall down.

    i(a scrapper) started to herd up all of the boulders and we would kill them quickly. then went and farmed the bridges(cause i heard we would need to). killed everything in that room just fine.

    went up against the mold wall. there was like, what, 6 snipers? the scrappers just jumped up and killed all of the snipers and the lichens. no problems, hell, even the blaster and support guys were up there killing. killed the mold wall with no problem. the ambush spawn didn't damage us.

    the main room, this was fun. tons of guardian-ish enemies. we had the invuln scrapper herding them up and killing them. was quite a nice site to see. killed everything in that room just fine.

    went up against the boss and destroyed him in no time flat. done in at least 20 seconds. only 1 ambrosia was used for us. and i had farmed 9 of them. haha!

    some things to note.
    trial build
    scrapper - katana/regen
    scrapper - broadsword/xx
    scrapper - ma/invuln
    controller - illusion/xx
    controller - xx/xx
    defender - kinetic
    defender - rad
    baster - energy
    we absolutely blew through any force apposing us. it wasn't even hard. our life bars hardly dropped we were killing that fast. it was a complete joke at times. everything got debuffed, the fulcrum shift dropped, then we killed.
    i feel this is the IDEAL make up of a team. a tank isn't needed. i have provoke and never had to use it except for herding(which was purely optional) they need to make this trial MUCH harder. the sewer trial is over the edge. this is wayy under the bar.

    other notes:
    badge was not recieved
    the SO reward is broken. i cleared out slots for it and had recieved a dual power SO. sweet! except for the fact that the SO was catered for the person who had dealt the last bit of damage. in my case it was the illusionist which dealt the last bit of damage. so my SO came otu to be an ACC/MEZ SO. not cool! i am still holding onto it in hopes that a GM will change it for me.

    but this was definately THE FUNNEST mission i've done to date. we breezed through it with like 2.5 hours left on the ticker. had a blaster killing everything. hell, i think our team would of even gave the sewer trial a nice run.

    Just killed Babbage in mission with several other high 40's and 50's, no exemplars. None of us received any badge.

    As a side note, please do not add any more badges that you get by killing a single-spawning outdoor creature (Kraken, Adamaster). It screams "I HATE EVERQUEST" in burning lights in the sky. You want kill stealing, mad players all hunting in one area trying to crush the spirits of each over a single creature? Keep CoH unique and fresh....please don't use this horrible, terrible design method

    As for the kill stealing... several groups can get "badge credit" off one monster... just like several heroes can get defeat credit off one villain.

    I was killing the kraken and a blaster ks'd me. I got the first blow, and dealt a sizable chunk of damage. He got the badge, I didnt. We were both about 15 levels over the monster (I'm 27, he was 29ish). Perhaps the badge is only awarded to multiple groups if they get exp from the kill, and awarded to the person who deals the majority if no exp is gained?

    i ks'd a guy killign adamastor. we both got the badge. dunno what happened there. i got no XP for the kill either.
  14. i completed the numina task force right before update 2 had gone live. like a couple of days. i was also the leader of the group, and we also killed jurassic. i understand not getting the badge for jurassic. but i have not recieved the badge for the taskforce, but everything else i have recieved(bastion, sister psyche, etc..)

    also, i beat the sewer trial the other night. i was also the leader of that group. i did not recieve the badge for that. i also did not recieve the enhancement that it gives. and i did not recieve a badge for standing next to the hydra head. bah. this is one mission that i will NOT want to do again. it is very hard, awesome though, but very hard.
    OH, and when i went and talked to the contact, she wants me to do the mission over again.

    is that because of the "invasion?"

    cause if it is, the invasion isn't even over. they were just scouts. a DEV even said that reinforcements were coming.
