in a debate between the two set up. i know ill/rad is a beast. hows dark/rad about the same??

ice just doest feal right with it.lvl 42 atm so gotten all the powers. i am rollin a nother ice as an ice/nrg blaster. but realy want to give storm my full go atm.
dark/storm sounds intresting. is dark/ troll good for dam.
the fire/storm sounds great for a the fast pass char i been wanting. i cna work around the end problem with cheap sets for small end recovery and carring a stock of blues. -
how does hurr and hotfeet line up(or is hurr just used as a clicky for the - to hit)

i have the basics of KB with /storm(currently runnin an ice/storm corr)
i just find ice blast a little lackluster. just not a good umph to it or feel of one with this combo.
so tryin to figer a good pairin to give me a nice bang(just the feal of it thanks to propel and lift i like grav for its feel of hard hitin)
only limit realy is no plant controll(have a lvl 50 plant/stone dom i love) and no sonic(have a lvl 35ish therm/sonic fender)
grav/storm troll has crossed my mine. just not sure how well they line up.

after lookin thew the sets. im hung up on cold/,therm/ or sonic/.. for my defender.. what probly the most useffull at high end content..(and whats more solo freindly,cant always find a team) -
atm my "mian" is a archer/mm blaster. slowly makin it threw the last few lvls to 50(47 atm) and im workin on an elec/fire brute for inf makin. but tryin to figer out a new char to roll. my brutes well be just a pure cash cow. my archer i dont plan atm doin alot with just a fun char to goof off on.
lookin for a good incar trials char. to realy invest time into(makin them a sudo badge hunter) and fully deck out in a few bil inf build. mian goal is to be very usefull on trials. down for anything.. what like the top 5 most usefull chars in trails.. a something/ tank or a good buffer/debuffer or a lock down char.. or dps.. -

So ill start by saying earth ctrl is not my thing.
Looking over the ctrls. Ice/ mind/ elec/ all look nice to me.
Assaults.. Earth/ psy/ ice/ and semi nrg/ all look nice.
Power boost is the main seller on them psy/ for crazy regain skill.
Lookin for fun char. What would be like 3/4 stromg combos from above. Plan on ice app for sheild. Plan on makin them all and lvlin to atleast 25 to find the one I like. -
Sorry didnt post a build got held up late at work. She ended up earth/earth fit her concept she came up with. Beter. Work late next few days but ill try and post a build.

after we did a server swap she wants to roll a new dom. Shes not full sure what thow. Shes not a min*maxer.she is just lookin for a good strong dom to play.
Ill give u the basics shes lokin for.
-smoth ride from 15-50 she plans on sewer runing first 15 or so lvls for all the buffs ut gives.

So atm earth/ mind/ elec/ all catch her eye. Assaults shes unsure. Dosnt want /thorn at all but open to the rest.

1) I'd seriously consider going with Storm and putting in the playtime to learn it, as it's going to be one of the best choices for solo play. Radiation or Time (if you have it) would also be decent choices, although really anything can work well and several other secondaries that aren't as well-suited to solo will really shine on teams.
2) Wormhole is an excellent power and I'd strongly recommend it as it is one of the main reasons to pick Gravity Control in the first place.
3) Dimension Shift is situational but not useless. There are actually certain TFs where it can be exceptionally useful. Not a power you want to be using on every mob, certainly but not necessarily a must-skip.
4) Knockback is only a problem when the player using it is careless or doesn't know what he/she is doing. Storm Summoning is one of the easier sets to mess up in this respect since a bad Stormie can make things rough on everyone, but a good Stormie is a juggernaut.

I know basics of grav like dont get demension shift. And worm hole ill use in a 2nd build for solo tell I feal I can use well on a team.
I know /storm is strong but alot of kb worys be. Just because a lack skillz with it but up for learnin. Whats a nother good set up. Lookin for good teamin solo play on 2/8 (would love higher but not a must do) -

A) how tuff would this combo be. I plan on io soft cap to s/l/e/n figer def cap+resist+-dam and godly heal well be insain.
B) cof and og are the two powers I alwats draw a ? With. What would work best for this co.bo was thing og to stack stun. But with power. Pool pick cof is posible two. Whats probly beter.
C) is t9 a good pick atm see it as a last power in build if thares noten beter
D) what ppp/app would work best -

I know it does stackable -dam. But how do power like power siphon work. What are the hit and misses of the set.. Realy want to make one but lack of info is stopin me.. -
Sr is probly the fastest bloomer of the tank sets. On its own its sqishy for itrails. But thare enof thermal/sonics runnin aroune getin your rest hole filled isnt that hard. U can also easly build for heavy recharge/hp leting u fire off siphon so often any dam that does make it throw is easly healed back grom your own attack chain.

I think d3 fender it is. With the solo dam boost it well work well. And in team ill jusr debuff tab throw bosd/luts to keep thare tohit botemed out

Lookin to make a non melee at for once. A d3 fits nicely into what I am lookin for. But its more or less down to dam vr debuffs atm.
so qs are.
1) what wwould work beter solo wize. Use a weak comp so tend to solo alot. Peps like bailin,on me when I first load into,mishs... Taks 3-4 mins but I gess thats to long for people.
2) whats the beter def to build for like range/aoe/melee or range/s/l I have no idea.
3) with all the -to hit whats a good goal for def. Was thing 30-35 so with the huge -20 to hit skill + one attack I am at incarn soft cap kinda. -

OP: you've left that very open ended so hard to give specific suggestions, but sounds like you want a Scrapper, Stalker, or Brute.
So a runic based char who is ranged. Goin to build for mostly rechargr and ranged/aoe def.want to stay elemental. So no mind/illu/psy/trap sets.
Pure dam not to big off a deal like to be able to solo at a good speedwhrn ioed on atleast 2x/8x.
He is based around the idea of tatooin him self with runes of the elrmental gods of the past giving him the abelty to tap into thare powers.he is a dark ninja like look. So a d3 defender has cross my mind but still unsure. -
So I have the rune body only aura on a char. Black/gold look with a ninja like feal. But cant figer out a toon to match it to. Any ideas prefur close combat. But still leavrs more or less all ats open... Ideas??
Looking for med to high dam. Good survival solo and on teams.,prefure early bloomer. Aoe or st doesnt mater. -

So time for a tank alt. Km fits with the concept,look for the char.
But armour is whare I donno. Fire/elec workd for concept the idea of gathing and using the super heated air his armour makes. Inv good also majin him strong and his power comes from some sort of magic.
What would be beter for a char that at best would get non set IOS for most off his life. -
