Sr/Dm Decent?

Speaking from a scrapper point of view, my DM/SR, back in the heyday of the buzzsaw build was a thing of beauty. Even with that gone, it's still a solid set.
DM compliments /SR with it's -to hit and it's heal. It's a very synergistic combination, like chocolate and peanut butter!
I haven't tried it on a tank, but I'm sure it's just as good as the Scrapper and Brute versions that I have tried, and I have capped 2 /SR Scrappers and 1 /SR Brute in my day. The Brute is long gone (this was before side switching and I get bored of Redside real fast,) but it was a fun run.
EDIT: to add, yes, /SR is viable at end game. My claws/sr runs +4/x8 smoothly.
SR/ on a tank is probably the epitome of 'Decent'.
You'll never reach the heights of layered survivability other sets can reach by tossing influence at the problem, but you can and will reach the softcap without even trying.
/Ice sounds like a good companion set, since it adds some different types of mitigation - slows and the knockdown patch - to the defense of SR/.
Other solid options include /Dark for the heal, /Axe for many knockdowns, /SS for general offence and Rage/Footstomp, and /MA if you have something against putting enhancements in your powers.
(SR/MA can softcap without any enhancements by level 22...)
Sr is probly the fastest bloomer of the tank sets. On its own its sqishy for itrails. But thare enof thermal/sonics runnin aroune getin your rest hole filled isnt that hard. U can also easly build for heavy recharge/hp leting u fire off siphon so often any dam that does make it throw is easly healed back grom your own attack chain.
SR seems really good on a tank I watched a video on youtube a guy had SR/Ice and wasnt getting hit very much at all. I have never tried SR but dark melee is my favorite melee set in the game and the heal in it would help SR lack of self heal. Also SR is really cheap to soft-cap compared to other sets.
So is it viable for all around play and endgame incarnate trials
