I sympathize with those folks trying to make stuff better, but if you look at some of the other in-game powers, it's kinda hard to buff the Presence Pool without making it better than somebody's primary or secondary.
Take a look at some of the stats on Cloak of Fear, here for scrappers:
Level: 28
Mag: 2, 7.45 seconds
Accuracy: 0.67
Endurance: 2.6
Radius: 8 feet
# Targets: 10 max
It's going to be hard to make a power "slightly less good" than that and still have it viable at all. Just the fact that Tier 3 pool powers can be taken at level 20 instead of 28 is a big advantage imo, and then which stats do you make worse to balance this out? It's a pretty hard call imo.
I'm not saying "don't try" but I'd like to see how to make a power "slightly less" good than that. What would you actually change?
Edit: the above stats were copied from Red Tomax. In game, CoF is listed at 0.52 End/s. Just thought I'd clear that up. -

May also being for story or "vision" reasons. I.e., the Menders are part of *this* dimension and its timeline. Praetoria probably should have its own version of the Menders (and maybe they do, in the story bible, and it's just not implemented yet).

Quote:Example: Lets say you want to bring up the vault with Ctrl-V, the bind would be
/bind Control+V vault
^ This is what most folks mean by "keybinds." Literally binding a function to a single key stroke.
There are also macros, which are buttons like powers that you can put in your tray. When you make a macro, it goes in the first slot available, which might not be in a displayed tray, so you might have to search around for it
/macro Vault vault
Will make a macro with the label "Vault" that goes in your tray. After it's made you can drag it around where you want, remove it from the tray (which I think deletes it also) or also right click and pick Edit, which will allow you to correct spelling mistakes if you make one. -
Not true. If the distribution is "top heavy" (many people wait a long time) or the outliers we throw away are on the low side, then the value displayed will increase, not be less.
-
Quote:Both the common IOs and the IO Sets work like this. They still work exemplared. Their values get reduced slightly, however, depending on the level you exemplar down to.
10joy
The only thing you loose from the Sets is the Set bonus, not the Enhancement value itself. That value for both common IOs and Sets stays, albeit at slightly reduced values as mentioned. -

That's actually a really interesting point. What value is really the best to use here? By now I'm pretty much convinced that it is not the average, no matter how you calculate it.
Why not use the median? Or maybe some more sophisticated calculation. Throwing away outliers might be a good idea too. Also, is the time calc including people who enter the queue, and then leave with no result? It seems like they should count too, in some way.
(Also, supposedly, the patch notes a while back said that pre-formed leagues would no longer participate in the "average" calculation. I have no idea, however, if this is working properly or not.)
EDIT: P. S. I still think Poisson is probably the way to go. -
Right. You can left click on a player's name in chat (any chat, afaik), or you can right click on the player themselves if their character is on your screen. I usually find chat more useful, and easier.
You can also left click on a person's name in chat to invite them to your team, send them a private message, etc. It's one of the more handy features that have been added to this game. -
GR is a great addition to a F2P account, the TIP missions and rewards are worth every penny spent on that Pack. Plus, you know, ... going *rogue*.
But I can't sympathies with you about the Incarnate thing. It's absolutely everywhere that incarnates are VIP only, and if you'd just asked *here* you would have got correct information. Can I ask who told you to get GR? Someone needs a talkin' to. -
Right, you don't need to buy anything to go rouge.
Just visit the tailor and turn your costume red. Done. -
Just a quick aside: you know you have a second build you can select now, right? You can have one build for soloing and one for teams if you like.

Quote:I am terrible at slotting dividing up slots between powers. I would like some advice as far as what powers to keep and how to slot them and which enhancements I should use.
Here is what I have:
The entire Invulnerability set
6 slots for the toggles
2 slots for each auto
Six slots in the toggles sounds like way too much. Three is fine at lower levels, and even at 50 I doubt I'd go more than four.
Can you be more specific? What powers do you have, exactly and what did you actually slot (Endurance Reduction, Defense, Resistance, etc.)?
Same with the Axe set, please specify what you actually slotted, what level, and also any other powers too (Stamina?). -
Yeah it's cruelty to vegetables not to eat meat.
-
There's also a "backup-radio" power from the market that you can just craft and have 5 charges of temp pets.
Either a PPD Hardsuit or Crab spider, for hero or villain respectively.
Also: Vanguard HVAS for vanguard merits. Not useful until level 35 though. -
Don't forget that you can also auto-complete missions that are just too hard. Maybe that's what you mean by "abandon" but I thought I'd point it out.
What server are you on? Usually it doesn't take much to get someone to help for a quick battle if you advertise over the global channels. -
While on Hero side (Paragon City) you should have no trouble being invited to teams or doing Task Forces (Forci?). I did an absolute ton of TFs blueside with my Rogue mastermind before I converted her to full hero.
Just do a quick run through RWZ or Pocket D to Paragon City and try it. You can't get contacts in Paragon City but if you visit a detective you can get radio missions and do those. Give it a shot to test out your Rogue status. -
Do you have one or two lore pets?
Mastermind pets spawn at level-1 when you get two of them. I wonder if the code is confuzzled.
I say bug it, worst they can say is WAI. -
Good point, I forgot that F2P can purchase those arcs too.

Quote:This is what I would recommend. If you like the game and want to play it, and are going to drop $200 on it, then buying it as a VIP membership is the way to go. You get the most that way, reward tokens and 400 points per month to spend, as well as as much content as possible. I can't think of any "free" content where it's better to be premium instead of VIP.Looks like I'm best off grabbing a VIP month and trying it out, finding out whether I care about Incarnate content or not. If nothing else, I'll get one of my tokens out of the way.
Also: Signature Story Arcs are VIP only, and I didn't see them mentioned.
On Incarnate Trials: most are PUGs, and usually put together with your server's global channels. Ask on your server's forum (here on these forums) or just mention here what server you're on; folks will let you know the best channels to be to use. -
Quote:No, they''ll just stay at -2 to your level. At level 50, they'll be level 48. On incarnate trials, they'll match your level (50, 50+1, 50+2, or 50+3).I've just hit level 23 as a demo/dark mastermind.
After leveling with Ms Liberty, I popped the demonling
triplets and my ember demon to head off to battle. Like
always, the Ember demon is my level and yellow. The
triplets, however were 21 and blue? Is there a level cap
on the demonlings?
Thanks
Your demons will eventually be -1 to your level. The demon prince stays at your level permanently. -
I keep reading "Celerity" as "celery" and wondering why people need to slot it in their build. Doesn't it normally go in the bread stuffing?
