Whatever man, It's a "situational" power move on. I have a grav/ff controller and he has lots of "situational" powers.

I think the main reason people are complaining is because the seem to give into all the crybabies that are simply jealous because they lack the social skills and/or intellect to gain easy access to groups and because of this they want revenge on the people who are actually having fun.
That's my opinion anyway. -

Do you remember how he would debate people about different powers and say he tested the power and would post totally bogus numbers?
Edit:
Oh and I remember when a bunch of people in my sg discovered you could get tons of xp by sniping mobs in bricks from the tram and letting the drones kill them.

I totally agree with this statement. I've been expecting it for a while now actually. Now do you think a change like this would be made because it is considered "unfun" to fight purples or because people are leveling too fast?

Well that's why the purple patch came out right? Because it was "unfun" to fight +10 mobs.
I remember being level 10 and with a group of 9-11s in steel canyon and fighting (and defeating) a couple of level 20 family. That was completly "unfun". -
Yeah happened to me today as well. While all my teammates shouted with joy I just felt sad.

Yay I can do the respec and the manticor tf now. It was impossible to get or keep a team together after the changes.

I had this situation happen today. I was playing my level 32 scrapper and was teamed with a friend who is a level 30 empathy defender. We had two friends with us both level 16 blasters sidekicked.
We went into one of my missions it was a freakshow mission and I had my difficulty set two levels above hardboiled. In the first room there were four (4) freak bosses All of my teammates were killed almost instantly by the aoe grenades the freaks launch. I survived (by chewing 4 lucks and about 8 respites) and we eventually defeated all four of them. We then left the mission and adjusted the slider to the easiest level. After doing that the mission went better because it was all minion and LTs but in the last room there were two (2) bosses and one of my friends went down again instantly.
We suffered a total of seven defeats in one mission with a four hero team. Thats not fun its just discouraging. It discourages teams of anything but the best builds at optimum levels. I don't think that's the effect you are looking for with these changes.
Edit: Oh I believe the mission was defeat Saiba and his crew. -

I think you are right Kali. Having Recon and DP early must make things much easier. I never would have described the first 27 levels as hell. In fact my DM/Regen scrapper was the most fun of any build I have played, especially at those levels.
Maybe the people who say that have just never played a controller or Tanker?

Yeah I don't subscribe to that "false" mantra I see regens using as an argument for why we "deserve" IH. To me that's akin to a fire/invuln tank saying they deserve burn/invinci or a ill/fire controller saying they deserve pets or a device blaster saying.. well you get my point.
The game should present a challange but I truely do not believe that IH (in it's current state) removes that challenge. I do believe that after level 28 soloing missions becomes a bore. I do believe that a regen scrapper is capable of spectacular feats if built and played correctly.
The problem here is that I also believe that statesmans comment was based on nothing more then the fact that nerfing regen has been the popular movement on the boards as of late and has nothing to do with the actual powerset or the way it functions in the game. -

they are one of the only people who can tank psi enemies, they are the only people who can tank unnamed dmg, they can solo AV's(save ones with alpha strikes. i.e. nightstar, anti matter), they can solo monsters up on monster island in peregrine. and btw, its not hell to get to 28, if any controller can get to 28 then any AT can get to 28. thanks

Here's something you should know about COH.
A fire or illusion controller can out solo every AT in the game post level 32, they also can solo AVs and monsters, a controller with a rad secondary can herd more mobs than any other AT in the game and do it faster and with less risk, a controller, blaster or defender has a much easier time getting a team then a tank or scrapper, da and sr scrappers can tank psi as well if not better then regen, almost every AV in the game has an alpha strike that kills regen scrappers instantly on the other hand tanks can survive the alpha strike because of the additional HP.
In the future try playing an AT before you start talking about what they can or cannot do (and dont come back with some garbage about having a high level scrapper cause it's obvious you do not). -

Dunno if you are the only one, but if I was just looking for an argument, I might rephrase as:
Issue 2: screwed over high levels with a zone that kills everyone once you figure out how to get to any part of it, negates 3 of the 4 travel powers, and leaves you with the one that moves like grass grows, added an extra zone for lower levels with content high levels can only really see by using the oft-broken EXM feature, while offering capes and auras beginning at the low level of 20.
Issue 3: Adding way for 50s to progress by becoming 1s.
I suppose you probably think the Epic ATs are just a conspiracy to allow the 50s to take over the Hollows with Kheldians, too.
In fact, lower levels now have huge mission bonuses, more inf, badges that can be had starting at level 1, end-of-arc rewards, access to instanced outdoor missions (not just portal), the hollows zone, and quite frankly, calling capes a high level treat is like calling perez a high level zone. Plus, respec at 24, less lower level mezzing, and special events that cross all the zones, not just the high ones.
Most of my play time is under L38. A large bulk under 20. I don't feel especially neglected. In fact, the lower levels feel much more fun than the first time around. I know a lot of people that feel similarly. In fact, just mission bonuses and badges have turned hardened street grinders the first time around into mission runners the second time around. I would say that is dramatic change.

Yep the lower levels are so much faster then they were before and it is much more fun. I'm starting to dread getting my controller to level 40 because there are far fewer options for a group reliant character at the high levels. No one wants to go to shadow shard or the crash site and I cant say I blame them. -
My friend told me in game that his sister read on the boards that the VIP badge gives 50% resistance to untyped and psionic damage. Did any of you hear this?

No it isn't. I can get from 16-32 in four days without being power leveled so I would expect them to be faster.
Some people can't seem to do anything right. -
I don't care what they do to AOE as long as you don't have to kill 8-10 thousand minions to get a level in the post 30 game.
